swoped the new front gearbox for the top-force and replaced some of the screws and noticed the front shock mount (j 10 ) is starting to crack so gotta replace that the while inserting the drive shaft i noticed the rear gear box witch was repalced the same time as the front ( 2 years ago) is also cracking. i really dont know what is going on with tamiya plastics atm all it has done is sat on the shelf o has never been used

first off i like the colour the colour would pop if you used a 2k clear coat on that and second just treat it as you would a 1.1 car if that was being painted ...just sand it until smooth then shoot the new colour you want to use or what this video around the 3.10 you will see what he uses to remove the paint he used

unlike most on here i never got hit for customs charges but then again i think the deares thing i have orderd from outside the uk was my 1/14 truck wheels and they did not even come close to £100. i think your lucky to find stock in the uk atm tbh

sorry my bad yes i mean the escort release as i already have a rally legends mk2 escort shell on my tt-01 i want to see if the tamiya escort will fit a tt-01 or a tt-02 ie for body mounting holes (if the are in the same place the wheel base also as i really dont like that chassis it comes on so i may get just the shell kit as long as it will fit the for mention'd chassis

will someone please try the shell on either a tt-01 or tt-02 to see if it fits and put some pics on

i have seen a few vids on u-tube recently getting huge bills from what ever carrier get to deliver a parcel that is coming from abroad so it looks like it time to stop trying to save a penny and go back to the uk suppliers i will not order anything outside of the uk know

the mfc is made by tamiya and the semi trailer light set is also and yes the trailer light set will plug into the mfc-01 again as it as already been said try and fit all the light while you are building the truck/trailer as you will have to take it back apart after if you decide to installe lights after you build the truck/trailer you can buy other brands of truck/trailer lights and that then depends if you want sounds also you can also go for the tamiya tlu-02 and tlu-02 light kits but they can get expensive as they only come with a basic light set and you will need to buy more leds with them what i will say is try and buy it from a uk seller as alot of stuff comeing in from other countries is getting hit now with huge fees from the witch ever parcel company delivers it the semi trailer light set by tamiya will fit into the mfc and you will need to make a hole in the top of the rear of the shell witch is already marked for you . i will say if you are using a mfc for the first time it can be a bit scary one a diff note what kind of trailer do you plan on buying

tbh stick with rattle cans to paint a complete shell you can use a airbrush to paint the any shell if you want all rattle cans give of strong fumes/smell if you can use a mask when painting you can always decant paint from a rattle can to use in a airbrush or use jars/tin/can and thin out the paint mixture best thing to do is try a test first use either a plastic spoon or the inside of a clear plastic bottle to test on and if you want to use a single "6 channel" controller for all your rc's then go for it just buy the relevant receivers and bind then to the controller

upon discovering the1 year old (never used) front gearbox screw mounting was cracked on my original top-force i thought i would try and get a screw parts bag but that went out the window very quickly so i saw a stainless set on e-bay for £12 del so i got it in the post today and upon looking at it it aint no top-force screw kit their is a lot missing from it

i if'd and ar'd for a while and then when i watched mateo's video of bruiser in the mountains i was sold... so i went to my lhs and placed a order for one and did the build over 5 or 6 sundays and i think it is todate my fave build i did go for a few hop-ups ..wheels ...slipererclutch.. tlu-01 and 02 light units plus all the led's for all the lights witch came to a fair amount anf the cr tuned motor and all that for it to be a shelf queen . as its been said the gear box is a mind blower and the slipper is something else

i would say that will never happen the price will only go up look at the last re-re of the top force i got mine at around £200 try and get one for that now

ohhhhh this place is about 1/2 to a hour drive from me would love to collect but due to covid can't risk travel that far atm

i placed a order for my top-force evo a couple of days ago with my lhs and they never ask me for deposit or pay for it until it turn's up the same for the ta-02 claibra i orderd at the same time i spose thats the personal service you get from a long time lhs

what about the re-re ta=-02 calibra

tony's given me a £385 deal.. dont know if that applys to anyone else but that's a lot more than what i would have expected esp if it don't come with all the same spec as the original but ;ook at it this way i have bben wanting a re-re evo for a long time and i aint gonna miss out on it now. if you compare the diff in price of a top-force and a evo the price of the evo aint that bad tbh esp seeing on how diff it is to the top-force. and as yet the titainium screws are a mystery and if they come out as a hop-up they will be a expensive option. but look at it this way how much did the original one sell for back in 1992. when i brough tmy manta -ray of tony back in 2019 when it was re=re i brought the hard shaft and motor mount set for only £18 and go and look and see how much the hop-up is sell for now a couple of years later i also orderd a ta=-02 ... "think about this" the calibra will be the first one and imagine what is goon follow after on the same chassis

for me i store all my manuals in the bottom of the box they came in and most of the boxs are in my loft along with a load of other rc cars/related stuff
