i can see thats a 7 day listing and has not had any bids yet so it looks like the value of vintage rc's has dropped a lot since the re-release. i might have payed that before tamiya said they was re-releasing it. but i got 2 for cheaper than that when they first was re-released a few months back. but still it a nice find but i dout he will sell it for what he is asking

original clod buster for sale.
know i am selling this for my mate.
i only got it back home last night so aint had time to check out del cost or such.
as said it a original clod in vgc for it's age.
from what i can see the front bumper has a light scrape on it and a couple of the stickers are starting to lift apart from that is all looks fine.
as yet i dont have any pics but i will try and sort that out is possible.
all you will need is a set of crystals and a batt and you off.
i dont know if he has the box or instructions as yet.
know i have no idea what this is worth so make me a offer to witch i will ask him if its ok for him.

I'm sorry, but have to disagree. If you were to take the Top Force and Manta Ray with same exact set-ups, the Top Force would leave the Manta in the dust. I'm just talking out of experience. I have both cars with same set-ups.
sorry i dont agree with you on that.
cause about 10 years back when me and a freind used to go for a bash on the weekend i had a manta ray and he had the topforce(the one i own know)and there was no difference in them and we used to run the same set up as well. so either one is as good as the other one.me personally like the manta's bathatub chassis but i am not that much took on the shell but i like the topforce shell and aint that botherd on the chassis. but i did swop the bath tub chassis on my ray for the topforce carbon type just before i sold up and it did'nt make any difference apart from my wallet being a lot lighter.

why would you want these ones.
i think i have a few knocking about as i normally chop them down and use them to locate a hole in a new shell before i paint it.

well i have both the top force and manta ray and they are bith as good as each other in my eyes.
but if i will be buying one or the other i spose it would have to be the topforce.

it's a original with the hard body and its not been used that much.
i have had it a couple of times to service it and the only thing on it is dust. mind if i can remember it could do with a new sticker kit putting on it as the ones on the shell are starting to lift due to it being a shelf queen for long periods.

the adaptors from tower look like the same that come in the bag of hpi wheels i want to put on my lunch box so i wont need to buy them seperatly but thanks all the same.

where can i get my hands on some adaptors so i can stick some aftermarket wheels with hex fittings on them as i have seen some very nice wheels in my lhs but until i can do the convertion i can't buy them.
any help please

okay my mate has desided to sell his original clod. i dont know why but hey someone will get a good deal here. it is in vgc i think it has the box with it and everthing that goes with it also. it will come with 2 tamiya sport tuned motor's i don't know witch ones at yet.
what is this thing worth,,, any idear's please
know i wont see him until thursday night to get all the details of him but if some one is interested in it let me know please.
sorry for putting this in here but i have not put it in the for sale section yet as i dont have all the details.
and i just want to see what it is worth or what they are selling for.

just buy a 2000 or 2500 batt as you do get good bat life anyway so you should'nt need to put anything bigger in there.
and i can get my 2000 bat in the tray with no probs at all.
i ran my lunch box on sunday and after about 20 mins i put it away as i wanted to do some drifting instead so i took the bat out and stuck it in my yokomo and it still lasted about 5 mins in that.

right as i have said i was at no point rude or funny with the sale rep on the phone in fact i was very polite with her. as i have also said when i phone'd up asking for info on these 2 re-releases so i can at least give my lhs some more buisness witch in turn they will buy from them and keep them in a job and just got a attitude from the sale rep its not on as i said i said i cant belive you have never herd of these 2 models witch i still can't belive she has not.
and aslo as i have said i am not heated, i am very calm i just dont appreciate some one piping up with out the facts and you dont know them apart from what i have already typed. you was'nt on the other end of the phone line so dont comment on something you know nothing off,(thankyou) i know what i said and how i conducted my self on the phone and i was polite at all times i did not have a funny one on with her it was the other way round and for no reason at all. know i i wanted i should put a complaint in about her but i aint like that.
so its about about time you stoped poking your nose in to other peoples lifes.if you dont know the facts them dont presume something and make a big issue out of nothing as you have done with this.

1. The Hobby Company has only been Tamiyas distributor in the uk since 2001. No wonder they don't know what a Manta Ray or Top Force is as they never actually sold them. An equivalent would be like asking your local BMW dealer about the Morris Marina.
2. The person on the other end of the phone is employed for their ability to operate the computer system and sell over the phone, not their knowledge of Tamiyas history. If you think they should know about every R/C car Tamiya has made then they should also know about every Tamiya plastic kit and every Italeri model kit ever made as they distribute them as well.
3. The Hobby Company are trade suppliers, not retail. They should only be used as a last resort. The news about future releases will only go to the sales reps who actually go out and sell the kits, not to someone whose job is to answer the phone. Give them a part number and they can tell you if it is in stock. This is the same with any distributor, not just the Hobby Company.
4. To find out if they had chrome wheels would only take 5 seconds - they are sitting in front of the computer with the stock lists on it. They do not have to actually go look for the parts.
5. If you are rude they will put the phone down. The same rule works everywhere.
At least the Hobby Company are importing the re-releases. They are a lot more available in the uK than in the uS and the distributor in Australia is still denying the existence of the rerelease Hornet, never mind the rest.
okay answer to your no1=yes the hobby company as only been going for a few years but someones else owned it before these who own it know and if someone works for the importer of tamiya i would expect them to know everthing on the tamiya rcs or at the mere lest of herd of them.
your no2= a monkey can answer and sell over the phone if they could talk and opperate computer if trained. and would you employ someone to do sales if they did'nt know about the current or past kits, esp at the mo as tamiya are re-releasing a lot of vintage kits.and if they wanted to they would'nt need the part no' they should have a search on the computer programmes to do this for you.
yourno3=i would not buy from them i only use my lhs i only phone them for info and they should keep up with the times. and how do you think we find out about re-releases,we go on the tamiya web site and look they should do the same it only takes a mo.

your no 5=i was'nt rude with them at all i will only be rude back to someone if they are rude or funny with me first.
they just didnt know what they where on about as i also found this out from my lhs on sat when i went in and asked them if they get the same from them and they said yes apart from one sales rep.
