  14. quote:You're right Sjoerd, it's not politically correct, but I have very strong negative emotions for RCCA. Back in 1986 (?) I bought the first issue (Bruiser on cover), and it was just too obvious that it was intended as a no-effort spin-off profitmaker of their airplane magazine. Half of the text was about pointing out how important it is that "air" frequencies aren't used for "surface" models and the rest was a demonstration of pure ignorance and hype. up to 2000, I regularly flipped through every issue of RCCA (my employer subscribed), and admittedly, the staff at RCCA has gained some experience with and knowledge about RC-cars, but the arrogance and hype was as strong as ever. I don't know what has happened with RCCA during the last five years as I have totally ignored the magazine, but judging by the video, it doesn't seem to be much good. Doesn't help much that any "test" or article in general is anything but objective, and that the amount of superlatives used about any product is directly proportional to the advertissement costs the manufacturer/distributor of the product has spent on RCCA. id="quote">id="quote"> I got a copy of the bruiser article off them not so long ago and i found it a bit useless, the guy would have been better off doing a review on radiosets instead of the bruiser, He even goes on about the radio in the "Test Run" section if you could even call it that.Although i did like the build pics I have never seen a bad review, they aways include a pityful little section called likes and dislikes, In the likes they'll sing the praises of the manufacturer and in the dislikes they say something pointless like "The tyres were'nt glued" or "The body needed trimming" i wouldn't be suprised if it would be "The engine needed to be broken in" or "I had to open the box to get it out" soon Atleast in some of the other magazines they'll say the handling was useless or they'll mention the weak points Although you cant hate Kevin H forever without his Jugg 2 project there would be no TXT-1 []
  15. Try. www.farnellinone.com www.fastener-express.com/ www.trfastenings.com you should find what you're looking for in one of those.
  16. Very nice. I seen a some lad try something like this before and he made a pure mess of it, It looked like his axles were made out of cake tins.
  17. Cool, Nice find. I have one of the wild willy posters which i found in a model shop a few years ago, I wasn't a big tamiya fan then but i thought it would be good have(should have taken the pile of them) there was a juggernaut one on the wall but they would'nt give it to me. I plan to find the place again this summer and clear them out of what they have[],Just wish i could remember what kits they had on the shelf[?]
  18. Email me a list of the xr311 parts you need
  19. Any one see 'Tamiya-rc' has a NIB mounty for sale now. Somethings seems a bit off[]
  20. I'm not to fond of the Revo crawler, Its like traxas are trying to do a WD40 job on it and see how many uses they can find for it. I think i'll stick to the good ole straigth axles, None of this independent suspension stuff.
  21. www.Airtronics.net they do a version of the synthesized MX-3 http://www.hitecrcd.com/ The aggressor can take a synthesized module
  22. On the news page of the site it says that he is moving to a different location for body making so that might be the hold-up
  23. F1 nowadays is not the same as it was before, Its about two things now, 1: Michael schumacher winning and 2:Sponsorship. The lowest point of F1 had to be when Ferrari radio'ed one of their drivers which was in the lead and told him to let M. schumacher past him on the final corner before the finish so he would win and get the points he needed to win the championship.
  24. I think there is only 40MHz synthesized recievers available at the moment, But there are 27mhz synthesized Tx's and Rx's available
  25. Came across a link for tamiyaclub on "Theo's Tamiya Temple" a few years back when i first discovered the 3-speeders[]and fell in love with them and was looking for as much info on them as possible. unfortunately I still dont have one[V]i always seem to find a better deal, which destroys my "Bruiser Fund" [!] on something else when i go looking for one on the bay
