Ok, I know little about American classic cars, but taking a guess from seeing the vents at the edge of the guards its a Ford F100 thats had its roof line modified. The protruding seams have been removed.

I seem to recall the Kyosho wheelbase is a little long for standard touring car chassis. Its too wide for a standard tourer and not enough for a buggy. Its wheelbase is around 265mm and width is 210mm. I used a Gravel Hound chassis as its wheelbase was spot on, then made custom suspension arms. I had difficulty getting the right length dog bones so I cut and welded the original shorter. Im sure there is a better way than this. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...924&id=4953 Alex, you might recgnise this shell, thanks. I didnt get any further than painting it white and tinting the windows.

What will the mould be made of to allow for repetitive use?

Ta - mi - ya In Japanese it is written タミヤ (or in hiragana ãŸã¿ã‚„) The three characters are pronounced Ta-mi-ya (nearly every japanese character when translate into english is a combination of consonant and vowel). It is all said with the same tone and no rising inclanations. *to see the japanese characters you will need to have the character encoding (for firefox its in the view tab) set on Japanese Shift_JIS

I could settle for 'one car', the Wild Willy 2 ........ but with at least 3 of them I wouldnt consider the David Jun 58200 TA03F Pro Chassis Ltd. Ed. was a disappointment

959 tyres are smaller than 1/10th tyres, and bigger than M-chassis. I made some from standard 1/10th rally blocks once. Same way as making rally blocks for M-chassis http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...326&id=4953 Also, Ballistic_brushless makes sets of rims that fit the 959 wheel hex, but allow fitment of 1/10th tyres http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp...579&id=4220

Tamiya_addict, Those rims look great. I remember you mentioned these in another thread, but cant recall if you mentioned who did them. I too am in Melbourne and looking at getting a few things chromed. I would appreciate it if you could possible put me onto the person who did yours. Thanks, Jamie

In Australia, we have it too. Retailers are not allowed to sell spray paint to anyone under 18. There is nothing about glues. To me that just sounds ridiculous. Really all that is needed to ban is pressurised spray packs. Personally I think the whole idea of banning spray cans to try and stop graffiti is not a good one. It will not make a substantial impact while denying people from using them for all the other things apart from graffiti.

where abouts in Knox is that? ...and what time of the morning?

I agree. He has only started uploading recently. But he has only uploaded a few at a time (considering he has a vast amount). If there was an option to add entries without going through the front page Im sure some people might choose this occasionally. Besides its not hard to click the "more" option to see the rest.

Glad to see it up and running. Now to do a bit of work on my custom FRP/HDPE chassis extended wheelbase WW2

I have a TT-01 aluminium centre driveshaft installed in my Gravel Hound with no problems. I did however have an unusual problem when building. I found that on part E2 of the front gearbox, the shaft which the pinion gear sits on was not set properly into the plastic cup which accepts the centre driveshaft. I had to cut it shorter for overall length, and grind the groove for the gear longer down the shaft. After that there was no problem. This was when all was stock from the kit. (Wonder if having been made in the Phillipines has anything to do with it?)

I have some spare. PM your address and I'll post it to you. Just 1 spring and 1 retainer is all you need?

I found everytime I holidayed in Japan that it was so much easier to travel than when I was a resident. That being because of the JR Rail Pass (also usable on JR busses excepting the overnight ones) is such an advantage. While living there, it was another story, even the shortest of express trips were expensive. For example return Aomori to Akita (the next prefeture down in nortern Tohoku) was around $100, and Aomori to Tokyo was $165 one-way. As you can see the cost of the pass can easily be worth while within 2 days of travel. Another thing I found helpful was grace.herdia.com (there is click for English) for timetables, routes and costs. Anyway, I think it is a great idea. With all the RC related mixed with a little traditional touristy things it would be great fun for everyone. Oh, and with places such as Toyoko Inn, decent accomodation is cheap.

Body Mount Hole Relocation - Can It Be Done
rajicon replied to AmericanSpeed's topic in General discussions
What chassis is this on? An easy trick I have used before is to heat the post with a lighter (one off those jet-lighters work best or even over the stove if your careful) and bend them to where suits best. Be careful with elongating them as the body will slide out of place with the oversized holes -
That looks so nice. Ive wanted one of these for a long while. Thanks for sharing it. A real nice job you've done too.
