  1. My kits from Stella are due for delivery tomorrow, but I will not get to see them til 10pm as I am away on business. EMS posting is brilliant, left HK sat evening arrived uk international hub early this morning, out for delivery tomorrow. Can't wait to get home....
  2. Pics added to my showroom entry - there are only two listed so easy to find
  3. I recently bought two from Lee. I have built one and decided I would try to get as much of the additional bits at discount to retail without compromising on quality.....so Hobao Mach 28 engine - new from ebay - seller taken from a split kit - I have one of these in my Hyper 8, easy set up, strong performer - 35% off retail Edit exhaust and manifold from HPI's website of discontinued/discounted stock - 65% off or so LRP Holeshot zero offset wheels and tyres from end of line rc - >50% off New Core RC 2.4 ghz radio set - full price Standard servo for throttle/brake (for the time being - will upgrade before running) plus a high torque servo I had laying around for steering - bought long ago All in all a the total cost came up significantly below the UK retail price of one kit! Enjoyable build, its pretty big and heavy. Had to buy some 3.5x25 screws to replace the awful ones in the kit (BA28) as they are a tight fit and the hex head is very shallow - Great Planes GPMQ3102 from Model Shop Leeds I have not had it running just yet, but is fully built - waiting for a warmish weekend to get out and run it in and get the shell painted Second kit is for spares, seemed cost effective considering I could not locate spares on ebay or any UK hobby stores, not even my source in Germany has any.
  4. Stellamodels are excellent packers, if there is any sort of box or blister damage it would have happened before they reached HK. I have spent a fair bit on kits from them, I have not had any problems at all. Mine are due to be built as I have a NIB original so I am not too worried either about any slight box or blister damage.

  11. I was always hoping a re-release would come about, but decided that it was long shot. When I had the chance to buy an original NIB Avante earlier this year I had to have it, so probably paid over the odds for it. I was planning on building it over Christmas, so glad this news is out now. Really looking forward to getting my hands on one or two of these. I can now just admire my original knowing I will not be tempted to build it. One thought, will it be a limited release like the TA05 RSR? I hope not, otherwise the price of £400 quoted by Tamiya will quickly rise once they are all sold out!! In under 16 days we wll know for sure if it is a true re-release with updated parts, or fully redesigned
