  1. Looks like customs have finished with my Bruiser, expected delivery is tomorrow 😃
  2. My Bruiser from Stella arrived in the UK last night, tracking shows it is still awaiting customs clearance . I was always thinking it would get caught, not because of the declaration, but because it is in an official Tamiya box with the model number sticker on the side (unless Stella removed it which would have been nice).
  3. Stella have Bruisers in stock. I received an email about 15mins ago with an update, just received an invoice after confirming what I wanted to do about packaging and shipping. Kits are US$665 + EMS shipping of USD$115 or Standard shipping of US$88 Not sure how many they have or when/if they will be available to order from their website, depends on long their pre order email list was/is
  4. Ooops, sorry seems I am not allowed to post instruction sheets in my showroom.
  5. Here you go, added to my showroom Link removed
  6. I used box picture frames to display mine, take a look San-S display
  7. That's expensive - only US636 from HLJ at current rates, only US795 at full price HLJ
  8. HPI WR8 Those of you that are craving for a new TGX bodyshell (and new rally wheels/tyre combo) should check out the recently announced HPI 1/8th scale rally car. WR8 Wheel base 300, width 227, TGX Wheel base 300, width 227. I expect that HPI will release other shells for this new chassis at some stage
  9. Oooops, VW Type 2 is January release, not February
  10. Expected release dates of items available on HLJ.com - great source of information January - Avante Black Special Avante Black Special February - Super Hotshot SuperHotshot February - VW Type 2 (T1) VWType2
  11. Looks like the Super Hotshot will be released in February 2012, no date though hlj.comTAM58517
  12. You could always wait for this to be released - Tamiya 4wd M chassis 210mm wheelbase Tamiya 84255
  13. Tower Hobbies have 58497 listed at US559.99 (list price US812), with Avante 2011 at US459.99 (list price US745). Tamiya Vajra must be something spectacular for that sort of price. No pics yet
  14. I quite like the idea of a twin pack, but perhaps something a little more exciting (never really fancied the Stricker or Sonic Fighter) What about a 959/Celica GrB twin pack (single chassis, set of slicks, set of rally blocks, two sets wheels, two pre painted (oh yeah) shells, special 959/Celica Technigold looky likey motor (boo) just like the Avante, or VW Golf/Renault 5 Turbo twin pack (those body shells are cool), or Blackfoot/Monster Beetle twin pack I could go on.......... I am hoping for a Bruiser personally , but would be happy with any re-release, I have bought most of them so far. My wife wont be too chuffed though!
  15. Could not find this posted anywhere, so sorry if its a duplicate thread. Video from TAMIYAINC of the 1:1 Sand Scorcher that was built last year (or was it the year before?)
  16. List of show items now on Tamiya UK and Japan websites - no pics though. Nothing too excited, but some of the new releases were in Volume 1 2011 RC Line up catalogue I received as a surprise from Stella with my Avantes (what a nice chap) Nuremberg 2011
  17. Seems as though Tamiya Japan are also going to release a TS-21 painted Buggy Champ in March. I thought the US ones were all heavily discounted Gold Buggy Champ
  18. Kit 1 blister behind motor is split, I guess I was so excited I did not notice.. Seems as though the blister is so thin that the weight of the motor is punching a hole. Ah well, everything else is good though, still a very happy chappy.
  19. I am home. Packaging from Stella was excellent. Extra cardboard, each kit individually wrapped in bubble wrap. I have opened kit no 1. No damaged to the box, no damage to the blisters. Stella are brilliant, and I am a very happy chappy. See my showroom for pictures
  20. My kits from Stella have arrived. No import duty suffered. Just need to catch a bus, then a plane, then a train and finally a taxi before I get to see them. Should be about 9:30 tonight
  21. For uk purchases, fusion hobbies is the way to go. If you are a full member of tamiyaclub they offer a 10% discount, so that brings it down to 405GBP ish. That's still 33.33333% more than it cost me per kit from Stella incl shipping. Fusion are great, don't get me wrong, used them loads, but still no guarantee boxes et blisters will be A ok even at a premium price
  22. I always use EMS as it is 24 hr from delivery to the local hub. Its more expensive but better than waiting another 48 hours knowing it's been in the country up to 24 already. Plus less time for it to be 'manhandled' by some delivery chap moving it about the warehouse
  23. I always use EMS from japan / Speedpost from HK as it is 24 hr from delivery to the local hub. Its more expensive but better than waiting another 48 hours knowing it's been in the country up to 24 already. Plus less time for it to be 'manhandled' by some delivery chap moving it about the warehouse
  24. ....and the only reason my wife is going to get any attention before my Avantes tomorrow night is because 1. She is picking me up from the station tomorrow evening and 2. She is taking delivery of the Avantes during the day with strict instructions to 'handle with extreme care'!!!!
