  12. hi guys I have been scouring ebay for good bodies and all say 200mm. Yet every TA02 (except Taisan Porsche) used 257mm wheelbase. Does anyone here have a great source for these bodies since most is discontinued? All types of car bodies Thanks in advance.
  13. Glad you like it Bill. I knew I had a great car. I just didnt want to smash up a good collector like this. Me and my Kid are gonna be happy to have an additional TA02 for the PLOT races. I will always keep my eye out for great finds and share with you guys. Im always scouting ebay but dont always have the cash to buy the Vintage stuff. I'll keep a watch on it though.. never know when that collectors bug will hit me and I will talk about my old 959 that I let get away hehe.
  14. I just shipped off my Rothmans 959 1/12 to william cline but when it was in my posetion I kept wanting to put a nice set of wheels on it. I saw many other people doing this and they made mention of using parts from other models. I found a much faster/cheeper way of doing this without having to buy/use parts. 1.)Take the brass wheel nut off of the axles. 2.)Take a piece of Metal Duct Tape (yes the real Metal stuff)cut off about 18" peice then cut it longways into strips about as wide and the brass nut. Doesnt have to be exact. 3.)Tightly wrap the nut with the metal tape. It may take a few times to figure out exactly how long of piece you will need but its around 18". 4.)slip a washer onto the axle then the nut (backwards) and then another washer (if desired). This allows you the needed clearance. 5.) slip on the wheel and tighten nut. Like I said the width of the strip of tape can be a little wider than the nut, it will compress and give you a tighter fit. Thats about as tall of wheel as you can fit.
