  1. as in this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-16-RADIO-CONTROL-U...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. I want to get a tank for my son to play with, he is only 3 years old but can just about control a RC car (although all the ones I have are a little fast for him) so I have been considering getting him a tank to play with as he likes robot wars and army stuff. I have looked at a few tamiya ones and would like to get one eventually but unfortunately at the moment I dont really have time to build one due to other commitments and they are too expensive for the purpose, so I started to look at some of the ready to run ones on ebay and there is quite a selection of them around the £50 mark. Has anyone ever tried any of these if so please let me know what your experiences are?
  3. I'll definately look into that, I just worked out how to filter on neutrals and negatives and this seller has 9 neutrals from the last year where theyve been selling things they dont have and everyone they leave a neutral for about half of them. I appreciate this seller sells a lot of items and mistakes can happen but I just think its a bit harsh to leave the buyer a neutral and doesnt make good business sense as it annoys the customer, I think there doing it on the hope of a retraction which I think boils down to indirect blackmail
  4. I recently bought some tamiya parts from ebay just before xmas for my sons car to try and get it up and running again, no mention of xmas holidays on the auction description so I presumed business as usual. Only it took two weeks for the parts to arrive and when they did it was completely the wrong parts which I then had to send back after being assured the right parts were in stock, only another few days later to receive a envelope with a refund saying they dont actually have the parts. I then have to chase up a refund for the return postage so obviously am not happy and leave neutral feedback. To which I then get a neutral back with the usual bunch of poor excuses, this really winds me up and was a real dissapointment for my son, fortunately I was able to find another seller who posted me the corrent item the next day!
  5. Is there much difference between the 1 and 2 bodys, the II seems more readily available?
  6. I picked this up using best offer, can anyone confirm if its a Hotshot 1 or 2 and if it is a one which bodys might fit it (i.e will a hotshot 2 body fit?) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1
  7. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp...=13112006205253 Looking for cash or a NIB Pajero Metaltop or maybe Honda CR-V.
  8. I think your right, are there any other comms that fit in reasobly easily I could use to get it running from a 19turn motor?
  9. It's getting upto 30amps before it cuts out, im pretty sure the current draw shouldnt be more than that, I imagine its a problem with the comm.
  10. I recently purchased a bigwig which came with a faulty technigold motor, I have skimmed the comm and removed any burrs from the brushes but my motor master is still cutting out with it due to the high current draw (starts ok with heavy vibration on the motor but then shoots up the amps and cuts out and the wire terminals are quite hot which would make me thinkg theres a short). Any ideas?
  11. I notice there is a phone number for entry forms, does anyone know the rounds details?
  12. I just hope someone took the plunge and bought it just to save someone else getting conned with no intention of following it through.
  13. Maybe not the ideal method but you diff should be tight enough to be on the verge of turning all 4 wheels when you turn one, but if you hold the driveshaft with your thumb it should just rotate the other wheel the opposite direction.....make sure you dont do it to tight or the screw will snap before long....also make sure your front is a touch tighter than the rear for good tight cornering... btw, although a little more hassle getting setup a ball diff if lots better than a pinion diff in a touring car....so its worth the hassle.
