XV-01T Rebuild - Slow with Q’s! 😂
KEV THE REV replied to Grumpy pants's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
The best polish out there -
Hi all . I'm looking for a front 'gearbox' half or both halves . This isn't actually a gearbox but merely a servo housing . I need the RH side as viewed from the drivers seat ( LH as viewed from the front ) UK only please. Thanks.

ReRe Blitzer Beetle Shocks and Motor Advice
KEV THE REV replied to Grumpy pants's topic in Re-Release Discussions
I've got a Sport Tuned in it with 15T Steel pinion , it does burn-outs in my conservatory much to my other half"s dismay - nothing that a bit of cleaner can"t remove - the skid marks that is , not the other half -

I just edited my previous answer - but I used the stock discs and it all might need tuning to accommodate the rear end weight -

I stripped and rebuilt them with new O rings and the stock disc etc and from memory I used red oil but I haven't run it in anger 👍 -

XV-01T Rebuild - Slow with Q’s! 😂
KEV THE REV replied to Grumpy pants's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
Does it need to be separated?. In the past I have separated parts like this by dropping the long shaft end into an open vice set to the shaft width but with a 'fag paper' of slack , then drift out the shaft by tapping the short end of the shaft downwards. If the shaft is resistant you can use a long socket or tube over the long shaft end and a insert into a vice horizontally to 'press' the shaft short end to get a start then drift the rest out -
Has anyone got a cheap TR15T truck roll bar for sale / swap - used for a runner - UK only please Thanks

Stadium Blitzer G parts body mounts wanted
KEV THE REV replied to KEV THE REV's topic in Sales, trades & wanted
Sorted now . Back in stock on eBay from TTP -
I switched from 27AM to 2.4g and bought the Absima set you mention . It is a good basic set up and I like it . I bought a few more Fly-sky FS-GR3E receivers ( they are the same as Absima as I believe Absima is a rebranded Fly-sky ) and paired them to the handset so I can use different cars with the same handset. The receivers are much smaller than the old 27 receivers and can fit into a chassis very easily and don't have all the old ariel wire trailing all over the place

Thanks for the reply . I saw those on Tamico , but I'd rather wait for UK stock and I'm not in a rush -

Incredible work , looks excellent

Outstanding work as always 👍

Thanks a lot mate , I might give it a blast when the weather improves and I get some time . I've run it indoors to test but it keeps laying down rubber tracks on the floors and I get a thick ear from the misses 👎

More pics of damper tops bolt through and turnbuckles

Thanks guys , yes all good , haven't been involved a lot of late , not had a lot of free time . Hope you're ok too. I've got more pics to add later

I bought a MK1 Blitzer Beetle with MSC etc , all a bit bashed up but set about the strip and rebuild . I decided to replace the self tappers with black M3 etc to give a more stealth look . I also drilled through the chassis to front assembly holes and used bolts all the way top to bottom to add strength to this weak spot. I also drilled through the front and rear damper top mounts and used bolts right through to again add strength to more known weak spots. I bolted through the rear damper tower and bolted it to the chassis. I've fitted front turnbuckles, more for effect than anything , but they do give adjustment against wear. I also fitted fixed length rear upper links to replace the plastic . I made a ESC / receiver deck from aluminium plate . I fitted aluminium uprights and mounted the steering rod ball ends underneath instead of on top to eliminate the weird stock steering under load . Detailed the tyre lettering . The body is still in repaired state ready for warm weather painting . Bottom pic is of chassis as bought with MSC etc
