Excellent stuff ,reminds me of the deal i got many years ago - a complete FAV ,hand painted, all radio fitted £10, which was still well cheap even that long ago , i wish i'd kept it .So to set things right i got another bargain a couple of years ago, FAV with box ,manual, batteries,etc,Wild one body set- £30 all in - (no radio though) .Bargains can still be had . Good luck with the restoration on your winner Vonblade ,not that it needs much by the look of it []

Hi all , i need some Cheetah body parts for my long running resto project.I need quite a few parts like :- windscreen +A9, complete dash with steering wheel, axe + spade set up, 2 complete mirrors and interior mirror ,one tie loop from the rear bed(B19), possibly the jerry can / axe carrier frame(B1) as mine is missing a small part, rear lower panel 'wire' mesh with C4's + C5's, jerry can handles and caps, front panel towing loops and brackets (A3x2 ,and A15 + A16)- parts in any condition considered ,complete A + B parts would be ideal.I have paypal ,or trade parts including Cheetah / XR311 new original vintage E parts trees. Hi Lars , i have tried polishing a H/B body , it does polish well , and i have also primed a shell using good old Halfords plastic primer / filler spray. I am also going to try a Peugeot blue Halfords colour as a finish , it seems to match well ,but i have not spayed it yet, so time will tell on that

Hi Dean, when i repaired one of my H/B shells , i used a section of a parts tree sprue and heated it and formed the bends to create the 'windsreen' section of the roll bar and attatched it to the body with ,(as i remember it ), Milliput. But i think an epoxy resin might suffice if the plastic is 'keyed up'.The Milliput is holding ok so far.I was luck enough to have had the remains of the 2 roof bars still attatched to the body so i was able to fit a roof to these and brace the 'windscreen' these could also be fabricated on your shell .It might have helped if the roll bar assembly had been done before you painted it all up ,as you dont really want to spoil any of that excellent paintwork you've done.As for the roof , this can obtained via TC or Ebay , or you could form one up with plastic card (which is in abundance at your stores) As Joel said , never throw anything Tamiya out without running it past one of us LOL []

Thats right Mark ,the T-cut scratch remover i use is not as fierce as T-cut rubbing compound , it is suprisingly gentle on plastics and paint but effective as it is for 1:1 car bodies with modern metalic / laquer paint finishes []

I have used a T-cut scratch remover paste to clean up paintwork, it removes a light layer of paint every time you polish ,especially if it is fresh paint.It is lexan friendly ,and i use it to polish up my SRB radio boxes too , do a test area first though just to be safe .[]

Hi Dean , i shop in the Romford Essex branch , usually for such things as filler, Milliput, acrylic paint etc. I also bought a Tamiya Lunchbox from there recently and over the last couple of years i have also bought a few Amercian classic car static models. I have to say , although the shop is small it is crammed with fantastic models of TV / film vehicles , vintage road cars/ bikes and lots more besides, but i find it is sadly lacking when it comes to the R/C section. In my opinion i would like to be able to buy Tamiya spares, parts and a full range of paints etc from there as Romford, and Essex in general, is not abundant with Tamiya stockists, so if your Romford branch ,and probably others were to offer this service , both over the counter and maybe online then i'm sure many Tamiya collectors and enthusiasts alike would be only too pleased to buy from your company. Nevertheless i have found the staff in the store to be generally very helpful albeit with a limted stock to sell. cheers, Kev
