  1. Still need one 🙁 - anyone got one ? anything useable / repairable would be good 👍
  2. Thanks for the replies and info. I thought it was some kind of resistor / speed limiter , and as you say the controller already has steering trim so I ruled that out . The old PCB and sundry items / servo have now found a new home in the bin .
  3. Thanks for the info . I'm looking for a battery door for this truck , you wouldn't have one lying around still would you ? Anything useable will be great , cheers.
  4. Thanks again . I'm modding it to use 2.4g radio. I've changed out the steering servo and now working on the radio box to fit in the esc etc . I'll just get it running for now and maybe later upgrade the motor . 👍
  5. Thanks for the reply. I saw your modded truck , looked to be rapid . I've attached a couple of pics of the dial switch rotor thing . I've stripped the PCB etc out now to replace with 2.4g radio , ESC etc , but still interested to know what the dial did .Cheers and thanks again
  6. Does anyone know the purpose of the rotating switch knob thing on the side of the frame opposite the on / off switch ?. I'm trying to get the truck working as it's pretty much dead , and wondered if the rotator is suspect . I wondered if it is some kind of speed resistor dial. Cheers.
  7. Has anyone got a new or used battery door for Tamiya QD Trailmaster truck, UK please. Thanks
  8. Excellent work, this a unique SR for sure .
  9. Thanks for the offer . I'll let you know if I get involved in it . This will be while down the line yet 👍
  10. I only use the grommet set up . It works better than the tube . Don't know why Mr. T didn't design it like that. Good repair there .
  11. That looks great . I'll be trying this idea myself at some point 👍
  12. I have to say that I've bought a lot of used HB / SR parts including front trail arms / chassis tub casualty corners / scratch and dent if you will , and a good percentage of these have been drilled through the pivot point and wood screws used to attach them to the chassis - surely the devils work
  13. here is the link to the model https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=88270&id=5280
  14. Looks great. I made some clear glass for one of mine many years ago (camel pajero in my showroom ) . I also made a basic cockpit and fitted a modded Scorcher driver .
  15. Very interesting idea . I've restored a few HB's and often thought about the front and rear damper upgrades , but stuck to the original set up for originality as duff as it is ( or quirky - if you like ) . I looked at fitting SRB rear arms to open up options but that doesn't work . I've been tempted to get a broken chassis tub to do an SRB front and rear end graft in conversion , which is now on my bucket list . I'll look at front damping again at some point as a sympathetic mod to a good chassis tub . Watching this thread with interest .
  16. How about some fries with that
