  1. Plastic parts - probably got them - I don't suppose you know the part numbers so I can double check - there is a manual at tamiyausa.com if you need one. The electrical bits I don't have, I suspect that's why the kits got broken up in the first place.
  2. The original version hasn't featured on a UK Tamiya trade price list since the range was imported by Riko, so that's at least 10 years. I got Hobby Co to import a box specifically for Time Tunnel about 4 or 5 years ago, and I think they would import complete boxes on request for other dealers, but the reason given for not stocking it as a main line was problems with availability on some parts. Interestingly on this reissue we got the same warning - some parts may be difficult or slow to source and hence it is recommended for sale only to enthusiasts rather than as a kid's basher.
  3. Not off the top of my head, no, but it has happened.
  4. I have read things on here that are speculative, didn't turn out to be true, yet have been told me as "dead cert, definitely true" by other dealers. Chinese whisper, all you need is various forums with a seed and an untruth can become real.
  5. No reference. Pete Binger (MD of Hobby Company / God Son of Mr Tamiya) told me.
  6. Not difficult in manufacturing to make a new mold from either a CAD design or even simply laser scanning an original sprue if the CAD wasn't available. I think from memory it was the metal molds where the machinery had changed massively though - after all the likes of Ford aren't using the same press equipment from 1978 to now, but could start making new Cortina/Taunus cars if they thought demand would be there.
  7. The trade was told that they made new molds and casting tools since the equipment that the original molds fitted was obsolete and long since scrapped.
  8. A huge release for Tamiya does not need to be an expensive release. The Monster Beetle mentioned on another thread could be a "huge" re-re for them, much like the Lunch Box which so far has been their "hugest" release in terms of sales volume.
  9. Yes, still have the FS12 in stock: http://www.goldstarstockists.net/live/cata...ne-p-15134.html
  10. You're thinking as an enthusiast, not a business. They'll always release the less popular varient first. That way they sell more - as you go out and buy both. If the popular item came first, you wouldn't buy the less popular varient.
  11. You're not the only one. It works for the twin motor set ups, but just doesn't look right with those short shockers under a styrene shell.
  12. A Monster Beetle Re-Re on WHATEVER chassis would be the sort of success that Tamiya has had with the Lunch Box - a car that sells in huge quantities to people who just want a RC car (i.e. not just Tamiya enthusiasts). It has frankly staggered me that they didn't put out a Beetle after the Brat. And after the Sand Scorcher came out I thought it was a definite. I would say if this Blackfoot is on some sort of KBF chassis, then you should expect a Beetle within a year of it's release.
  13. I think lexan. From what I've been led to believe it's essentially a reissue of http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=167
  14. That one I do know - it's a reissue of the old F150 on the TA02 chassis. Where the Baja bit comes in isn't yet clear.
  15. Info is from the Canadian Tamiya distributor Borgfeldt, uploaded this morning: http://www.borgfeldt.ca/catalogpc.htm?Cate...0&NBReset=0
  16. I can guess that a Super Blackfoot III is *probably* a King Blackfoot with the Super Blackfoot body on it, but what would an Avante Truck be? Avante chassis surely doesn't lend itself to a truck top?
  17. Hot Rod kit - £45. Complete package with Mtroniks ESC, 1800 Nimh, Overnight charger, Carson Stick Radio - £99.99. Big pile of them just in, but may not be around long at the price. http://www.goldstarstockists.net/live/cata...words=122000011
  18. I think in general kits with a Japan price of 15000 yen would be more than £100 in the UK, what with our punative import taxes, rip off VAT rate, the cost of cigarettes for the van drivers and so on.... I will post a price as soon as we have one.
  19. Not heard anything yet - probably be announced shortly though.
  20. Just clearing some older stock - first come first served - these are live prices from our web site: Below are just the clear plastic molding - no decals - on the Double Blaze and Baja, the Overlander is a fully painted/stickered XB body - there are a couple of the overlander body and a few Double Blaze, and probably 20 of the Baja King one: Tamiya 11825425 / 1825425 Body Double Blaze £12.49 Below are full body sets complete with decals, mirrors, wing etc - I have a few of each: Tamiya 51374 C-Class Dtm 08 Teile Body £24.99 Tamiya 51373 Lexus GS 400 Body For TT01 £19.99 Tamiya 51361 Porsche 911 GT3 KTR Body £22.50 Tamiya 51357 ARTA Garaiya Body £22.50 Tamiya 51337 Suzuki SX4 WRC Body £22.50 Tamiya 51306 Raybrig Nsx 2007 Body £22.50 Tamiya 51322 Fairlady Z Version Nismo Body £19.99 Tamiya 51291 Toyota Supra Body Parts £22.50 Tamiya 51270 Mazda Rx7 Body Parts £22.50 Engines below, I have 1 of each of the FS15 and FS12 and three of the FS18 Tamiya 17604017 / 7604017 FS-18sr Engine TNX (Original TNX) £89.99 Tamiya 17604016 / 7604016 FS-12ss Engine £72.00 UK postage not much (£1.95 to £2.95 for economy). Outsize of UK, some of these bodies come up too big for airmail, so please ask for an estimate first (the web site will get it wrong if you look at checkout - we always have to contact people for extra on bodies).
  21. Difficult to say - that's why I'm "open to offers". The kit when last sold had a retail price of around £350, but even with both there are components missing and no manual (although that could be printed from tamiyaclub so not an issue).
  22. No, no, of course not. I'm talking rubbish thinking about it I suspect that this is just a muse to use up over production though, whether they're sprayed up in the US or Japan that the kits started out as one batch of white bodied ones.
  23. Is this not just a way to shift kits that Tamiya USA has got stuck with? I very much doubt those kits left Japan with anything other than white bodies....
  24. I have recently obtained two Mammoth Dump Truck kits, one is about 80% complete (on a quick look-see it's missing the electronic module and a pair of wheels/tyres but most of the rest is there) and the other mainly is just a few parts plus the main tipper tray. These I will break for parts (or sell as a one-off lot if I get a reasonable offer.) Anyone needing any parts, please post here and I'll advise prices. I haven't made a list, so I'll work out a price on each part when requested.
