  1. DJTheo you are right about the plug battery. My fault, sorry guys. The TNX needs always a separate plug battery. You don’t need a separate plug battery for the Terracrusher. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  2. Hi Matt,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> the main difference is, that the terra crusher can go in reverse. This is unfortunately his weak point; the gearbox could be easy damaged, when you shift from full back to full front to make a wheelie. Another difference is the engine; the TNX has a slightly improved one, and you don’t need a separate Glow plug battery, because the Plug gets its energy from the starter. Other differences are the body and the wheels (terra crusher wheels are slightly bigger). I think this are the main differences. Personally I would recommend the TNX, because it’s gearbox is near to bulletproof. You only have to check the slipper clutch, because you can easy break the spur gear if it’s not tight enough. Hope I could help.
  3. I over read this thread, till I also received a mail from jo, (or who ever he is called). In his mail he offered me (what a surprise) a Losi car for trade. Here is the original mail content: "hi i got a team losi xx-cr vintage 1997 car ill sell or trade for a road car up 2 u" Like some members said before, it’s important to check whether the person is trust worthy or not. For me it means I only trade with persons, who are known by myself or if it seems that the risk is very little to get ripped of.
  4. It would be nice to meet you guys, but unfortunately the last time I’ve read the forum entry too late[] and this time I have to go on a official travel on Monday and the way is to long for a short trip.[] Hopefully I can meet you all the next time. Have a nice time, a show some impressive pictures to us.[]
  5. Hi Max, no problem,[] check our mails. Rudi
  6. I use this ESC in my King Hauler. unfortunately I only have the German Instruction sheet. But this Speedo has no break setup, only if you pull it back from full forward to back, it stops for a short moment. I can only recommend this device for trucks.
  7. I would suggest going through PayPal. Ask them what you can do. Also give him a last mail, in which you inform him, what you are planning to do and ask him for the tracking number. Maybe it isn’t really his failure?[?] But to be convinced its not his failure, first you need the tracking number to check it.
  8. Hi clayfist, under normal circumstances I would also agree, to give some additional time to him. But after I've seen the EBay ID I can only give you the advice to take action, because this guy is not very confident. I heard this from another EBayer, which sold him a NIB Mounty, and had trouble getting his money from him.
  9. 21 single, If I'm right.[?]
  10. I think, I have to agree with dunebuggy. Because I'm living in Fuerth (residence of the "Dickie-Tamiya" headquarter), the guys at my LHS are very good informed, and they give me the advice to buy a Hornet some were else, because at the moment they don't have plans to re-release the Hornet in Germany.[!][] Maybe it will come, but it's not for sure.[?] Yes, the german distributor is a real nightmare![]
  11. This is the right way Typhoon. Don't worry about blowing something. There is nothing which can be damaged, if you change the wires.
  12. Check out this online shop. http://www.schink-1-8.de/webshop.htm I think it’s the same Jeep, which was sold at Conrad. This Company produces the Kit (think so[?]). Normal rubber tires replace the foam tires. But they were already replaced some years ago, when the kit was available at Conrad.
  13. I’ve polished it with a special polish paste; witch is normally used to polish Mobil phone displays. Maybe I should gently sand it. The question in this case is; is the yellow only in the first 0,1mm or is it deeply yellowed, through the entire windshield? [?][?] I agree with The Dodge, I would prefer to use all original parts from the old Kit, but I hope I can reduce the TOYOTA shadow (see pic2) to a min.
  14. I've started to restore my Hilux.[] First thing to do, was to clean the windshield. I thought it was only scratched, but after one hour of polishing, I've seen that it is yellowed.[][xx(] So here is my question. Is there a way to get it complete clean or should I search for a new one[?] Before After polishing Yellowed[V]
  15. What would you guys pay for a used XC Wrangler Jeep? I’ve the opportunity to buy one from my local hobby store. It was only build for display and run several times. I don’t know if its complete, but on the first look all parts are there. But the stickers are missing and it needs a new paintjob. Are there great price differences between the different XC’s?[?]
