Hello,
this is my first post here, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, I've had a good search but couldn't find anything. To those of you who have made 100's of cars, I'm probably asking a very stupid or naive question, but here goes.
I've recently dug my old ff-01 vr6 out of the loft, and tried to get it working again. It used to have the standard msc, but I've just bought a new (cheap) esc and installed it. I charged up the battery for the first time in about 5 years and set up the esc. The only problem is the car is extremely slow and very very whiny! I have however lost the instructions for the car and so don't want to take it apart to not get it back together again. I tried all the electrics in my XX and it runs fine, so I assume it is a transmission problem with the FF-01.
I remember when I first built it I had problems with not tightening the diff up enough, could this be the problem? Also, I think the cog (please excuse my ignorance!) attached to the motor may be worn down, but I have nothing to refer it to.
If anyone could help me by giving me some tips or refering me to an online guide, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
JB
ps. I have to say that this is one of the finest and most well populated websites I have ever seen, so I hope there's someone out there who can point this idiot in the right direction.
