  1. Hi all, Wouldn't this be a great model for Tamiya?? http://members.home.nl/cyberpeugeot206/Con...how%20Hover.htm
  2. Hi all, Seen on local trading site, the 58001 with body and countach body! What should I offer??
  3. Guys, Is this what you mean? http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp...200470500_2.jpg
  4. Well, I bought her some stuff lately so she won't bother I hope - I've seen some stuff on ebay and I think I can restore it nicely.. What I didn't show are all the metal parts I still have and even all the gears in verry good shape!! Only thing important missing is the body and the gearbox housing (not the metal plates)....
  5. Okay, that's what I thought too... First have to conveince my gf that this is a nice project
  6. Hi all, In my old days I owned an used Frog. now this is what I got left (http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=27061&id=5798). In your opinion, are these 'remains' worth trying to get a complete one by buying missing parts? Maurits
  7. Well okay, it is your car. If you want to 'bash' it, be free to do so put some pics in your gallery so we can follow this 'project'!!
  8. It would be whath it trying to restore it! (and fun)
  9. Hi, I have a site in Dutch (also English) where they have some info on motors. Go to http://www.pkracing.nl/corallymotorplaat-en.html or www.pkracing.nl. Go to RC shop, electro, Corally and there is the info. Good luck! maurits
  10. One of my favorites is the Celica (http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=64). reason, I had the honour to drive it in 1990, always wanted to own one and it drove beautifull with its 3rd diff.. If they want to re-release a model, this should be the one. Technical challenging, original construction, fun to drive and vintage!!
  11. The first one I saw was in 1987. I was 15 years old and a kid from my neighbourhood had this old Frog. A few years later I bought this car since he bought a new Boomerang! i still have pieces of it and it is waiting to be restored.
  12. My gf always asks me to go shopping for clothes. One good way to make her stop asking was the sentence: "Honey, do you come with me to the hobby shop since I always have to go with you shopping?" . Never heard her again!! But still, she tollerates my hobby and this weekend we are refurbishing an old room with a special corner for my RC cars!!
  13. I don't understand why they don't use a nice type of buggy like this http://dakar2005.nl/buggy.html If they wan't to bring out a car for off-road use, this would be a better concept....
  14. Go with the 3300, it has longer running time..
  15. What do you mean with 'shorter gearing'? I'm pretty new on tuning so sorry for all the questions..
  16. Okay guys thanks for all the answers! I think I now know what best to do.. The ball bearings I already built in originaly. About the gear ratios, I have to find out what the best option is. The stabilizer was already on my shopping card as so the turn buckles. I already have a ESC fitted (17-39T) so that won't be a problemn. Do you guys advice Tamiya original shocks or are other shocks also good??
  17. Okay, that would save me some money!! But still, carbon prop shaft, bushes, ball diff, etc.. is that something to consider??
  18. But I also read somewhere that the gears get worn out pretty fast if you use a tuned motor etc.? An other question is what the package 53342 contain? I only see two gears?!
  19. No bad words about guineapigs!!! (although one ate through my EUR 85,- pioneer DVD-cable...)
  20. Okay, here are some stupid questions.. I want to 'hop-up' my TL01 (58273) since I'm not satisfied with the speed etc... 1st I'm gonna put in some oil filled shocks, carbon shaft, long upper arms, stabilizer, etc... BUT, I'm also gonna put in a 17 Turns modified motor (http://www.pkracing.nl/motorlistcorfabmod.jsp) my questions are following: I've seen that you (obviously) have to replace the gears. The thing is that I only see that people use item 53342 Speed Tuned Gear Set?! Don't I need more gears than those to put in? Also, is a bill dif advised in this case?
  21. That pink olour realy sucked. I rememeber when I got my frog I was so happy that it was painted blue!! One of the kids in our neighbourhood painted it pink.... changed it to blue in one week! But on the decalls issue. Sponsornames are an issue for you. There is something like copyright. Some people (like me) are looking for tobacco decalls since they arn't allowed on 'toys'. My F201 Ferrari now has Marlborro decals and it looks way better than the original decals!
  22. I think he wants to order a hamburger
  23. Didn't know there where beggars in Köln?! But still, nice story!!
  24. And finaly, finnished!!! Take a look in my showroom. Thanks to CamaroSS (George) for the Marlborro decals!!
