I've spent quite a bit since I started collecting a couple of months ago. Ebay is evil, espcially with those Buy it Now buttons sending temptation my way! I've just gone and bought a NIB Egress with a load of parts thrown in. 400 big ones [
]. It is a mint kit though! -

Sure I saw this on Ebay not long ago....did you buy it? Very nearly bid for it but IIRC it went over £300 and I didn't think it was worth more than that.

You can add a bank account and do instant bank transfers or Echeques, I did this recently. It involves them placing 2 small deposits in your account, you tell them what they were and you can then send money direct from your account.

I believe some sellers can opt not to accept credit cards, as the rates you get charged are pretty big, could be that. Unless you give specific information about the message it gives it's hard to say what the problem is....
The best thing to do is trawl the FAQ on Paypal.

Just convert USD /AUD using the current cash exchange rate, I can't see why they'd have a problem with that as Paypal will convert it back if they want it in AUD. I did this the other day with someone who gave me the total price in EURO even though the auction was in £, so out of laziness I just converted it so I could use the checkout, rather than sending a manual Paypal [

The national hub will be the main Parcelforce sorting/ distribution depot, usually at or near an airport. I wouldn't be too worried yet, international parcels are not an exact science, my guess is that the package is held up in customs or something. Large items are usually given more attention by C&E than smaller ones. My R390 took almost a month to arrive from Japan, I've had other items much quicker, but it got here eventually.
Edit: Just noticed that it's going from England to Austria, not the other way round. Seems odd that it hasn't left the country yet, and moreover, that it went to Belfast, Northern Ireland first? Looks like it may have been mistakenly sent there, which would explain why it has been resorted.

I just bought a steel antenna (50195) for my Boomerang, still has the same part number as it used to but made recently - so that's at least 18 years!
I believe the Hornet speed controller (50253) is still made today and is used it lots of models, though as Mervyn said they are orange now instead of black.

One of the main reasons they are so cheap at the moment is the exchange rate, we're now getting 1.8 dollars for our pound which means good prices. If model shops had a bit more business sense they would buy in bulk from somewhere like Walawala, taking advantage of the weak dollar, and pass the savings onto their customers. £1.95 for a bearing is ridiculous, badword I could buy 1000 from Walawala and, even with shipping, undercut that price - and I'm not even in the trade! Hop-ups are the same, I saw a UK shop selling a TGX carbon deck for £50 which you can buy on Ebay for $45 - half price. [xx(]

Sounds possible and I don't think it would be too hard, just make a motor mount where the nitro engine goes and stick it in there. The TGX is quite heavy though so I would lose the aluminium chassis and replace it with a thinner alloy or perhaps a carbon one (you'd probably have to make one).

Sounds expensive, just bought a full Astute set of rubber sealed from Walawala, along with a metal sealed TGX set, a Boomerang set, some spares and some titanium turnbuckles and it came to £36 shipped. [8)]
Sorry man, not trying to sabotage your sale, just thought you and potential buyers should know.

] It's soooo easy to shinkwrap things it does make me wonder when I see them being sold.I agree about the Star Wars thing as well, there are a ton of mint vinyl-caped Jawas and two stage lightsabre Luke and Darths around - whenever the value of something goes up so high it becomes more worthwhile to do high quality fakes.
Anyone got a link for this auction, all I can see is a NIB Frog that sold for $455 which seems more realistic.

Ah, you're forgetting the exchange rate, at the moment it stands at about 1.8 dollars to the pound! With no shipping to worry about that makes for bargain buys.

I've paid with a CC on a standard account (although I had to upgrade recently to accept a CC payment), so I don't think it's that.
From the message it looks like the reason is not that it's a credit card, but a Mastercard/ Eurocard, perhaps the recipient doesn't accept those cards? I know Mastercard isn't as widely accepted as Visa.

You know they're supposed to slip a little, ball diffs are the scale equivalent of a limited slip differential on real sportscars. Sounds like it just isn't tight enough.
One way of locking it without destroying it is epoxy putty. Push some over the gears to mould it and then take it out until it sets - then put it back in.
