  1. you need Fender Mender, available from most good hobby shops.
  2. I have had a lot of problems recently with sending and recieving emails via ebay. Sometimes they just don't arrive... They show up in 'my messages' in ebay but not in my email inbox. It is not my email that is the problem either as I have tried both my hotmail and work email. I also don't think it is just me who isn't receiving them all either. Just something to consider if a seller seems a bit slow.
  3. I had a belt snap on my Losi xx4. It was old though and it happened when I put a new brushless motor in the car so not really a surprise!
  4. The receiver antenna on Spektrum radio can be run inside the bodyshell without any problems.
  5. I don't see what is wrong with putting 'no silly offers'. If I am offering a £1000 car (and it is clear that it is worth that kind of money) then someone offering a beaten up old hornet in exchange is wasting both my time and theirs, as it is clearly never going to be accepted. Essentially 'no silly offers' is used to mean 'look, i know roughly what this is worth, so lets not waste each others time'.
  6. Due to house purchase, I need to sell some of my toys, so my fully hopped up FG Leopard is up for sale on ebay. You won't see any better than this! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1
  7. My restored Hilux is no for sale on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1
  8. It sounds like the clutch is slipping. However, try standing over it when accelerating and see where the drive stops. Check that the pinion is tight and the layshaft gear is not slipping on the layshaft.
  9. There are plenty of moody buyers too, especially when you turn down their low offers to end an auction early!
  10. Great condition, with reverse function. Perfect for your restoration projects! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6060549014&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1'>
  11. Check out my auction for a great looking Tamiya Avante, fitted with many new parts and period hopups, like Hi Cap dampers, ball diffs etc. [] http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1
  12. If it is going to be rough grass and dirt, you should look at one of the larger scales like 1/8th or 1/6th. My 1/6th FG Leopard can handle pretty much any terrain
  13. Make sure the ESC is as far away from the receiver as possible, to avoid interference.
  14. I agree... no need to spend silly money on a new car. I bought a 9 year old Fiat punto 2 years ago, 60k miles, cost me £500. Since then, it has had 1 new tyre and 1 new light bulb. Thats it. It will be scrapped when something major needs doing, but in the meantime, very cheap motoring. Actually , most of my RC cars are worth more than my 1:1 car! and probably cost more to run too [:$]
  15. The 4.5 might not have enough torque for quick acceleration in a buggy, unless you use a tiny pinion. It is always tempting to go for the quickest motor, especially when they are the same or similar price, but you might find it is just not practical
