  1. superb. thanks. perfect.
  2. thanks ever so much. it goes in a straight line now! very fiddly compared to the TT-01. cheers.
  3. Just been looking at the BRCA rules. Am I right in interpreting the rules so that only certain types/makes of battery are permitted? What if i want to race but don't have approved cells? It seems ridiculous that having a different make of batteries could mean you can't race...or is this the case?
  4. I think this looks like a great idea. Good luck mate and well done. I'm 26 not 14 and I'd pay if only for the advice. This is a very expensive hobby. No two ways about it. £45 is about the same as you would spend doing any of the following: Paintballing Go Kart Racing Clay Pigeon Shooting And this sounds a million times more fun.
  5. I live in Bristol (UK) and am desparate to race 1/10 touring indoors. I live in Bristol and am prepared to travel to Cheltenham/Gloucester/Swindon/Tiverton/Exeter/Weston/Bath area. Anyone have any links or contacts in these areas. It must be indoors as I don't want to ruin my kit with outdoor racing, and it's not weather permitting so you can race all year round etc. Thanks in advance. SOrry for the flood of posts.
  6. Hi guys. Having a mare this afternoon...when i turn my car on (TC3) and the transmitter the steering goes left. Even with the steering trim i can't get it straight. the servo horn is a screw on type, not the sort you jam on like with tamiyas. Any ideas? Do i unscrew and reposition then tighten the screw? Thanks in advance. Hope you are all well.
  7. now registered fully!
  8. Anyone know of an indoors club in the south west of england where you can race 1/10 touring cars? I live in Bristol and need to be indoors cos i don't want to ruin my new TC4. Any help appreciated.
  9. thanks very much mate
  10. Thanks for the help before. Much appreciated. I have a further question: if the pinion on the motor needs fewer teeth for immediate speed with low top speed, and the reverse for a pinion with more teeth - what about the cog (large one) actually inside the car. The one with 60 odd teeth. What kinds of combinations produce the best results? thanks again. Jules
  11. hi guys. how does it work? does a cog with fewer teeth on it (attached to my motor) go faster than one with lots of cogs? physics was never my strong point. I'd appreciate any help on this one! thanks in advance. J
  12. check this little fella out: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
  13. cos it costs £15 to show your cars and almost all of mine are not really tamiya and my only really cool one (apart from this which I@m selling) is my Midnight Pumpkin...
  14. Click on the link below if interested http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
  15. I am after an unbuilt kit really. I'm selling this sand scorcher (hence why i was asking how much they fetched) along with a Kyosho mini cooper and a schumacher cougar, and maybe my TC3.
  16. mint example coming on the market. will be on ebay soon unless i get a great offer first. complete with original bumpers etc. email me for photos julesbristol@email.com thanks jules
  17. photos coming soon. need to work out how to download from camera and haven't got the car at the moment.
  18. Nick, cheers. Yeah I think £300 is what I kind of have in the back of my mind but I know Ebay can be weird (I have seen great stuff go for really low amounts at random). I don't really know I suppose.
  19. I am soon going to be selling a MINT Sand Scorcher. Absolute 100% pristene condition. Anyone interested? How should I do it? Ebay?
  20. I have a midnight pumpkin and it's <please no adult words, also kids read this forum> ace! 2wd. big wheelies and great for scrambling about. Not complicated to fix and fairly solid. Its got good ground clearance - enough to go along into the sea and rivers etc. Also recommend Blackfoot for similar reasons.
  21. Anyone used them? can they be relied upon? I'm a bit dubious with the stuff coming from HK to uK. How does it work with customs?
  22. HI guys. I wonder if you can help. I want to know how much I would have to pay to get an absolutely mint Sand Scorcher. I've got all the radio gear, just after the car. Cheers
  23. I have a TT-01 and have spent 6 months modifying it. The only things that make a difference in my opinion are: motor - go for a 10 turn one (pay no more than £20/$40 on ebay), a no limit speed controller (ditto price, this will cope with any motor), steel bearings for the insides and wheels, and good tyres (the ones that come withathe TT-01 are only good for indoors on a smooth surface. Everything else you can buy will help the car last and might make it a bit lighter, but will cost loads. Ebay is the absolute best place to buy from, and there are lots of reliable worlde sellers out there.
  24. Thanks. Would changing crystals help?
  25. Dear friends, can you advise me on the problems with racing with a 75.750 MHZ receiver and transmitter set in the uK. I'm not very technical...why would this be bad? Thanks in advance. Any help gratefully received. Jules
