  1. Just found these (as I'm looking myself of course) Seems very cheap for a pretty high torque servo... http://www.servoshop.co.uk/index.php?pid=MG995&area=Servo Now what are chances of the bearings being replaceable by standard sized ball bearings ?.. Cheers
  2. Hi all... I've searched high and low, and have not been able to find anything. So does anyone in here know of a 3D model of a Clod gearbox. If I have to do it myself, I'd take me a year - and unfortunately, I don't have that kind of time. It really doesn't matter what program it was made in, Maya, Rhino #d Studio Max etc. [Edit:] It is, of course, for an up-and-coming project - So far nicknamed "Crazy Eddie" ! Cheers, and thanks, Steff

Looks like it may work... [edit]The Interceptor looks like it may work even better :-)[/edit] And the shell won't be acting as camera mount - The camera will go inside the shell, which is why I can't use my orange body.. Cheers, and thanks !...
  4. I waited a full 15 minutes for my the pictures ;-) Haven't gotten around to asking him to measure the body though...
  5. That could be an issue - Thanks for the heads up on that one.. Got a couple of pictures from Kamtec and it looks like it'll provide. I'll see if I can get Kamtec to measure the overall length of the body.. Thanks !...
  6. Dual Brushless (Heck - Make it a triple - That would be a first!) would be sufficient I'd guess..
  7. Worst part is, I think you've hit it spot on... Am waiting for Kamtec to get back to me.. I wanna see some pictures before I spend £ 40 on a body...
  8. Did you notice I said "cheap" [] But this is cool, thanks a lot mate !....
  9. For bashing and making videos, I'll need a cheap lexan buggy shell that'll fit the Avante 2001. Can anyone recommend a shell with as much room inside as the original 2001 ?... Would hate to have to cut up my beautiful orange body just for making the camera able to look outside....http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=25144
  10. quote:Originally posted by AGUILAR3That would be me...Im building a cutom 4w steer bruiser using 2 front gearboxes on a Custom John Boyer Crawler tube frame Gearboxes have been chromed, speed bearings added and 4linked.Im also going to use a Dave Engle pulling tranny..it will be used as a gear reduction with the right gears It should be done within the next few weeks[] id="quote">id="quote">WOW - Can't wait to see this baby in action.. 11. Quick question... I've just bought an Novak EVX esc from an E-Maxx. Now this is going into my modded Jugg, in the end with 14.4v as specified.. But for testing purposes, I would like to just run it with a single battery as I'm not done with my custom tray yet.. Now the manual that comes with the EVX says that running the EVX with less than 14.4v could damage the controller... Is that right or can I run it at 7.2v without getting into trouble ?... Cheers..
  12. I've recently removed all paint from both body and chrome parts on a Jugg with oven cleaner. I believe the brand that worked best is called Sterling. I'll check when I get home. Ohh.. Tamiyas chrome strips SOOO much easier than paint..
  13. Not sure this should be in Tamiya General, or I should've stuffed it in Modifried :-) Anyway - Does anyone know where I can buy 1:10 scale rotary lights to top off my Jugg ?... Cheers
  14. Haven't been able to find anything, so I thought I'd pop a question Has anyone ever built a 4 wheel steering Bruiser (or any 3 speed for that matter).. Like a real scale crawler thingy ?.. And if so, Got links ?... And No - I didn't come across 3 NIB 3 speeds for US$ 50
  15. If I had the chance to acquire one of these, would it be worth the hassle ?... It looks like it's just been built, comes with original (not worn) box... Cheers
  16. I'm SOOOO glad I subscribed to TC - I'll take it, have plenty of shelf space left and not enough cars to put there :-) Cheers
  17. Holy craptacular Batmans underwear !.... That guy is GOOD !... Awesome find..... [edit] Just had a look at his other projects - Even more Underwear - What that guy does is nothing but stunning... Wow... [/edit]
  18. ***BUUUUUUMP*** hehe.. Any news on the Tamiyaclub*com stickers, both in 1:10 and 1:1 - Would LOVE the ability to stick a TC sticker on the flat black Juggernaut once it's finished (and on the Custom Clod I'm building for a mate...) Cheers
  19. I would like a set as well, but El Linko doesn't work [8)] [edit] Think I found it - Nice and cheap until I can afford a set of "real" wideners !... http://www.outergods.co.uk/The_Stable/How2...elWideners.html [/edit]
