Blitzer beetle rebuild / ongoing runner project
Flerbizky replied to Ian_Gsi16V's topic in The Builds
The adjustable upper arms, are a bit of a no brainer really. Bag of ball-ends off of eBay and a locally sourced 4mm threaded rod and a hacksaw. Takes like 20 minutes to do the 4 corners (: -
King Cab / Monster Racer SC10 Tranny Swamp

I'm quite surprised how well the crawler ones I got for mine works!. Mind you, jumping has been kept to a minimum so far, but they feel really nice! -

Poor driving and lack of space. Speed Hawgs helps with wheelies though (: -
What - You don't miss those days? One spare battery = $$$$ and 12 hours to charge a 1200Mah battery after using a 12v light-bulbs to completely discharge it (:

Just extracting this from a really good post. With the 9T 4300kv I run in my Blitzer Beetle - I can get bored of the beach with 2 4200Mzh LiPo sticks (:
-
That is simply amazing!.

Yeah. 9T BL with a semi dis-charged lipo. This could replace my Blitzer Beetle as my primary beach basher (: -

Double posting here in case someone will miss the other thread (: -
Pretty bold statement I realize. Here's a small clip..

Seriously-bad-word bad-word. Just had the quickest of test runs in the yard with the SC10 (after gluing the tires). This thing shifts like no other Monster Racer I've seen. Wow. Just wow!

Yes

SC10 tranny. Cheap and supposedly bomb-proif with slipper clutch and gear-diff.
-
Wise words
-
Or. I could install some electronics and go trash it (:
-
Problem is - it's been sitting in the sun, so 2 of the rims are quite yellow - Maybe I should do them in white instead. It's actually growing on me (:
-
Mind = Blown....

Mounted some new tires on the Monster Racer. Not glued as the rims still needs orange paint (:

Any condition you say Every once in a while, a full set shows up - bought a complete set with driver and window for around £25 + shipping from Japan. -
Adding weight to wheels:pros and cons?
Flerbizky replied to kirk13's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Certainly helped loads on my SCX10. Bought a set of cheap alloys weighing 120g pr. corner instead of the stock 25g stock plastic items. (If that much even) -
Mounted some new body posts I received today, so I could mount this green body I had. I am REALLY liking the orange/green theme (: And that you can see the reservoirs - Party + added bonus! I need to make a new motor/tranny plate though. The angle of the rear shocks are really annoying.
