  1. Mounted some new body posts I received today, so I could mount this green body I had. I am REALLY liking the orange/green theme (: And that you can see the reservoirs - Party + added bonus! I need to make a new motor/tranny plate though. The angle of the rear shocks are really annoying.
  2. This very much. And what comes up cheap on buy and sell portals (:
  3. Same here. Have multiple cheap EzRun sets, not seeing these issues either.
  4. I shall give a full report, as soon as my new tires arrive (:
  5. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a set. Am pretty tempted myself. I did however, being born with 23 thumbs, manage to make this, in something like 3-4 hours with only a hacksaw, handhell drill and a couple of files. 3 mm sheet of fibre glass, Couple of random spacers from the parts bin and Bobs your uncle (: This is the tranny I got of off the Bay of Evil http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182118385784?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  6. Ordered some HPI Geolandar for the Monster Racer. Should start swapping some electronics soon.
  7. Makes you wonder how much these custom-part companies trawls sites like this (:
  8. I seem to recall a thread on here where the Robinson spur gear is mentioned. My search skills are weak, and I can't seem to find it.
  9. Calling metric nonsense is a great deal like buying a fish a bicycle.
  10. Unfortunately not. That was my first thought too. But on the right, the upper is already touching the clutch cover (barely). I could go Dremel on the upright, but do I really want to do that? If it looks like it'll be a problem, I'll make a new motor plate. Have already done one when I replaced the transmission, and it's really not a big job. 3-4 hours tops I think.
  11. Installed some dampers and dog bones (: I might make a new motor plate moving the rear wheels a couple of mms back, as the springs almost touch the upper arms.
  12. Some Japanese seller. It was way before brexit, and it looks like you're closer to £50 for a complete set at the moment.
  13. Paid import tax on my dog bones - finally. My 4 piggy-back shocks coming all the way from .AU land, which I assume is a much bigger package, and a lot more expensive, not to mention heavier, sailed right through customs.. *facepalm*
  14. In a Lunchbox, I'm guessing the difference will be very minor (:
  15. Brand new body with window, lights, driver etc. can be had for £20 + postage.
  16. Harder springs then And as said, worst case, they can live in my SCX10 (:
  17. No comparison. I run the same setup as Ian. 9T BL - still haven't broken anything major. And parts are cheap and available.
  18. The Hi-Cap upgrades are 92mm eye-2-eye - and mounted in the lower holes. These are 105 e2e as the CVAs. (Besides, wasting a set of Hi-Caps on a basher - for the money they pull? )
  19. Thanks! And, after all, it's only money. If they fail to work on the King Cab, I can use them on my (orange) SCX10
  20. Do what I did. Bag of ball-ends cheap off eBay and a local sourced 4mm stainless steel threaded rod. Hacksaw and Bobs your uncle (:
  21. This thread is full of great posts! Thanks for the continous updates (:
  22. How well do you think these would work in a King Cab/Monster Racer. Plenty of springs included, and I have a decent collection of oil weights available (: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/105mm-Piggyback-Dampers-for-1-10-RC-Crawlers-may-fit-Axial-Vattera-GMade-ORANGE-/121790760702?hash=item1c5b4b86fe:g:1BUAAOSwo0JWIyCc Yes. I like orange (:
  23. Also - one could experiment with not pulling the trigger all the way from the off (:
