  1. I installed a set of Integy front and rear shock towers, an Integy front number, and a set of 120mm RC4WD shocks to fill in the gap a bit more. In this photo you can also see the front body mount, which is made up of a Traxxas rear bulkhead🤪 that slides through the F-350 bumper perfectly...
  2. I had these RC4WD King Shocks from a previous build, they might be a tad too long, but I’ll make them work. The Shock and link mount is from a steering knuckle for a Tamiya Fox
  3. So after many years of planning and doing absolutely nothing, I decided to finally sit down and make this a reality, assuming that all the parts work together😂 I’m starting with this: Tamiya King Hauler drop axle that I’ll be 4 linking....
  4. I mounted a set of Hotshot tires on my dyed Traxxas wheels The Sonic Fighter wing, and all the blue Striker parts were also dyed. I mounted a Sonic FIghter shock tower and front shocks. I mounted some Traxxas Radicator rear shocks Added some FAV decals. Covered the switch hole, with a bit of styrene. and for electronics, Tamiya silver can and Tamiya ESC....
  5. Great Build, The attention to detail and the great photos are on another level....
  6. In an effort to give this car a different and tougher look, I decided to go with a "FAV' ish look to the Striker and painted it "olive" or "military" green...
  7. The part that I hatted about this particular model was the plastic axles, drive cups, and dogbones.... So I replaced all of it with Thorpe parts...
  8. I apologize for being a bit late in posting a build thread on my Tamiya Striker, but I think since build threads on this particular model are scarce, I decided to throw mine into the mix..... What is it?? Tamiya Striker Why?? Because I've always liked the oddness of this F-1/Jet Fighter off road buggy, and it was the first old kit that I bought with my own $$ as a teen.... So the first stage was to decide on a color scheme, and a change of tires and wheels. I wrapped the body in green vinyl and added a set of Traxxas Rad wheels that I had laying around.
  9. So after making sure that the light kit worked, I needed to button up the interior.... i had my daughter help me with the dashboard drawing the gauges and components, I decided that the passenger side was a bit empty, so I decided to enlist a clay Minion figurine that my daughter made as my passenger.... Also added a rear magnetic mounting kit from boom racing....
  10. Haven’t worked on this for a while, but I got motivated when I decided to re-charge my lipos..... Shortened the rear links to bring the rear axle forward and closer to the body’s wheelbase. Painted the body Metallic Blue and slapped the Bigfoot decals on. Added the light kit...

  13. I was thinking magnets, but I'll probably go with a bracket of some sort...
  14. Mounted the wheels and tires onto the chassis, and now have to figure out how to mount the body...... The wheelbase is not a perfect match, but it'll do....the bruiser interior fits almos perfectly...
  15. Mounted the new links RC4wd 90mm King Shocks Re-instaled the SCX10 axles, tranny and servo....
  16. Here's the body in all its unpainted glory, still deciding wether Starlord is going to be driving this rig or not...
  17. These are Jconcepts Rangers 2.2 tires and Midwest 2.2 wheels, they replicate the old school monster truck tires that the early "BIGFOOT" trucks used to run....
  18. Those are the wheels and tires I will be mounting on this project, hence the need for a lift kit......stay tuned......😏😏😏😏
  19. I've always been a fan of the Bigfoot Monster trucks, and always wanted to build an RC version of this iconic truck....the Lexan offerings never quite appealed to me, so I decided to go with a hardbody Ford...... Here's what I started with: STRC SCX10 Lift Kit
  20. i was close to buying a cfx, but decided to do a custom build, with this chassis conversion I can also run a scale transmission....
  21. I'm probably going to go with the Asia Tees Boom Racing Kronik Short Wheelbase Scx10 conversion, and Mst CFX axles....
  22. This is what I'm shooting for:
  23. Here's my new project, Wanted to do something with my favorite Tamiya hard body, why not a baja Crawler....this is my starting point... Tamiya Blackfoot Body RC4wd 1.55 chrome wagon wheels RC4wd 1.55 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ
  24. With the Blackfoot body on, i need to start working on linking the front end, will definitely have to shorten the rear links to make room for the fronts, as it sits now, my front links would be too short to have any significant articulation....
