Looks superb.... I love the paint scheme and glad to see it is being used as intended I really want one. I have however been capitalising on all the original bruiser parts on ebay and almost have an original one with parts from all over the world! I would really like to see how the original and the new perform head to head. Has anyone got both...? How does run time and overall performance compare?

I have been involved with my local school through an engineering link. In the UK we have an Ambassador scheme where engineers can go into schools and can run projects. I have run a couple of projects with the school typically 12-14 year old in support of a GCSE in engineer award. This has included the design and development of 4 wheel drive vehicles to compete in a landrover sponsored event. The students had to research vehicles, consider how they were going to be used, develop them in CAD and then present them to me (the specialist %*? ) at a local university Hive in 3D.. After that they would have to custom manufacture them without resorting to using any spare tamiya bits I had around ; ) We actually used part of my model collection for the research part (as well as my trusty Landrover Defender). I found this great fun as the school had a vacuum former and basic injection plastic moulding rig. With 3D printing coming along and getting cheaper it wont be too long before the schools will have one.... Another project which I got the students to do was to develop 'military / universal vehicles'. This was sort of tied in with a company project to develop a multi-platform vehicle with essentially the same running gear but could be troop carrier, an ambulance, a fire tender, a patrol vehicle....... Next step the teacher wants to go autonomous....! Landrover and Mclaren (F1) have sponsored a number of events through Schools to design and build vehicles. I suspect that schools in the US may have similar spongers. I have also 'sadly' made it on to robot wars in the UK with our 'Warhog' entry which did not do too much but I did take it in to school at al age levels. We spent a great deal of time designing, manufacture it so I took it in to the school to do the same thing..... Best of luck. If any of this is of inerest get in touch. Mark C

Thanks all for all your suggestions...! I am still looking for the originals but would be nice to get it rolling. I will have a go at adapting the lunchbox wheels that I have. Thanks again! Mark c

Over the last few years I have collected pretty much all the parts to build a mudblaster. All im short of is a set of wheels and tyre to get it going. I have tried putting on lunchbox wheels but the front wheels foul. Has anyone got any ideas on an after market wheel that might? It does not have to be exact but in relative proportion.thanks!

A while back i contacted keith regarding his landrover bodyshells. I was looking for something a bit more than what he had on the web site....anyway he sent me a prototype shell free of charge to view and appraise.... sorry if that isn't good enough im not sure what is. I have ordered a number of shells from him without fault... Just waiting now for the new stuff he is preparing []
