  1. You rotten s.od how can you sleep at night ! give him the money and run like mad
  2. Sorry I miss read the question. Bruiser builder do all the rubber parts needed I think for the Three speed trannys not just the plugs. I think the transmission is slightly different on the Re Re bruiser but I may be wrong (again)
  3. Probably but only to a very select group, its quite rare and pant cackingly fast like an 1/8th Serpent. The wing and twin brake disks are definitely not for show, plus a spare horn for a unicorn is probably easier to source than parts so a runner only if you are A: talented (do not crash) B: Willing to wait patiently for parts to come up. But if you do run it, it will be the most exciting thing to do with your kecks still on.
  4. Bruiser Builder still sell them 3 Speed plugs sale click here

  12. Hi Guys Just wondering if there is an aftermarket diff locking kit for the 350/hilux or if its just a hot glue gun job ? Many thanks Mark
  13. Hi Caddyshack Thanks for that. Looks like a plan. I like your shell. I defiantly need to lock the diffs as it suffers on obstacles. Is there a kit available or is it just another hot glue gun job ? Thanks Mark

  17. This is a very dangerous topic. If you where honest and actually posted your answer here you are A: Publicly announcing to your wife how much you actually spend, not what you admitted too. B: Giving said wife ammunition for getting you to buy that new kitchen/patio/conservatory you keep promising her. C: Giving your wife an unlimited amount of brownie points back you have earned over the years, so now you will have to decorate the living room for her, put up the shelf (insert boring menial job here you have been dodging for the last 3 years as you would rather be in the workshop) My wife has learned that men think this is a safe place to witter about what we are up to in the workshop or bought. She uses it to "gather intelligence" on me and my mate for his wife too. .....................shh she's coming.............act casual
  18. Hi Guys I have just got my first modern 3 speed (f-350) and I love it. Its a fun to drive, but after a darn good running this week on and off road I noticed I had cracked the silver diff case cover on the front and chunks where missing from the edges of it. Oopps. I obviously have clonked it a few times whilst " lightly running it" over "small" obstacles My Bruiser has a pressed steel scale guard on it and try as I might it protects the diff well. Does anyone know of an aftermarket diff protector or under body pan for the front of the new 3 speeders ? or a homemade mod that works ? I am not really interested in spending £25000,000,000 on upgrade front axles as the factory one works well and.. well it gets used not shelved so it would be a waste. Cheers in advance Mark
  19. You need 3 to build one good one

  22. Lots of people actually collect and restore old equipment. Its a hobby in its self and great to compliment old models. I love using old equipment, its better quality than the new stuff and if you know what you are doing it can be brought up to modern standards of reliability. Some even convert it to 2.4ghz. The really old stuff is now illegal to run due to conflicts in frequency but we are going back to the 40'and 50's era equipment and old home made & kit sets. RC Restoration site Below is one of my old sets. This set is a late 1970's Futaba 27mhz Its like new. I have fully serviced it and intend to fit it to a vintage boat. Of course I would not risk the old stuff in my aircraft but its fine in boats and cars. Some sets also use a "scatter gun" frequency spread which is not advisable to use but narrow band conversions are easy and usually crystal controlled sets are fine. Keven64 on TC has lots of nice stuff in his showroom an the main site. (sorry Kev ) Kev's Showroom
  23. Thanks again for the suggestions. I have had a bit of a fiddle and I have discovered that the hubs were all mixed up with one front hub on the back axle running backwards and one on the front on the opposite side running backwards (no drive) so there was a combination of one wheel drive and 2 wheel drive at best. Also the one way front hubs were full of grease that stopped the mechanism working at all. I have rebuilt the hubs and put them onto the correct positions and it has greatly improved the performance. This bruiser had had little to no running and has clearly been incorrectly built and set up. I have just bought a new F350 hi lift but intend to keep the bruiser for now and re-build it correctly. I will reserve judgement until then.
