Apologies, illegal may be a bit strong. Any UK business found selling Tamiya products purchased from outside the UK, are at risk of been taken to court.

With regard to Vintage Tamiya, I'm afraid the truth is rather different from that stated above. Vintage Tamiya were shut down by the Hobby Company (Tamiya's UK importer). The license Hobby Company now have with Tamiya Japan, is that only the Hobby Company can supply Tamiya products to business sellers in the UK (Online stores and Retail Shops). Vintage Tamiya were 'Grey Importing' from the far east, which is now illegal. Myles, may have taken a break from selling the Kyosho parts, but of that, I'm can't be sure.

Wow, new in sealed box TRF414x, those are a rare beast. Only approximately 170 made and all went to importers or racers. I have a 414x, although it has been used a couple of times. I have all the rest NIB, except 49220 TRF414M Memorial (Believed to have only been released in Japan) Any one selling one NIB? Antony

The Hobby Company, (Tamiya's UK importer) have stock of the Bigwig arriving 7th Feb. There will be no ESC supplied with with any of the kits. moffman, Tamiya have very strict confidentially clauses with there distributors and nothing is supposed to be made public until Tamiya announce it themselves. The reason, it wasn't at Nuremburg, as it was too close to the MB release. I have been told the Ranger is highly doubtful, as it would mean producing a new rear guard The Buggy Champ/Sand Scorcher one is longer than the original SRb version. Antony

Inside information on Blackfoot re-release. The Blackfoot re-release was not to be made public at the Nuremburg Toy Show, it was only supposed to be shown to national distributors, behind closed doors. So they can place pre-orders. It will be first shown at Shizuoka Show in May. Released to public a couple of months later. My understanding is it was let slip by the Germans and Tamiya are not very happy about it! Antony

If I'm right in thinking, the Thunder Shot re-release was the only one to be the same as the original. As all the parts numbers were the same as the original. Excluding that it came with a rear wing and an ESC.
