When i had my Clod, i ran a twin motor/twin battery ESC. It was by Kyosho and think it was called a Perfex? It had two battery leads already installed, with tamiya style connectors. Sweet ESC and the Clod really shifted, didnt do much for the "handling" though!!! Modelmaniac[6]

I think you will need wheel converters, ( sorry to sound so obvious!!) I converted my Red Lunchbox to go from std LB wheels to hex fitting HPI wheels. The converters/adaptors i used were included with the wheels,but im not sure if they are available to buy on their own. Hi mate, toothbrushes are very handy at getting rid of heavy mud (especially from wheels/tyres) and paint brushes (long bristles) are good for dust and raking out stones and debris from awkward nooks and crannies! I get toothbrushes from Morrisons for 16p!!! Also as long as the elecs are removed, or waterproofed,dont be shy about being generous with the water. Any more questions, fire away! Also, been surfing and found about some rumours of Hugh Jackman starring in "Wolverine". Apparantley, its in his contract with Marvel, that if he wants to star in a superhero movie, it must be a Marvel based film/character. The film, should chronicle the whole "Weapon X" program, all the early stuff before the X-men. Fingers crossed it gets the go ahead, but no confirmation yet, will keep all Marvel nuts informed as/when i hear more! Kind regards Modelmaniac[6]

Sometimes the odd single wheel/tyre pop up on ebay, or here on the trades section, but getting an exact match might prove impossible! If you get a new set, you can always replace the one broken wheel and keep the other 3 for spares, or use the set you have now until their completely shot and then replace the whole lot. Hi mate, i have a Rising Storm thats fitted out with huge wheels/tyres and handles a dream! http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...078&id=6564 I have proline wheels and tyres fitted and all i did to ensure they didnt put too much strain on the car, was to change the pinion and install a better ESC. I run a 13 triple motor so i needed a good ESC, its an absolute blast to drive and there is no issues with the wheels/tyres rubbing the chassis/shell. Any more question or pics required, just ask. I recently bought a yeah racing anodised blue shock tower for my Rising Storm, but had to clean the threads of the tower before i could fit the alloy spacers. I used an exact screw with matching thread and screwed and unscrewed it a few times till the spacers could be fitted. Its fine now though! modelmaniac[6]

Hi mate, i was stumped when i first got into rc so dont worry! Basically, the "turns" refer to how many times the copper wire is wound around the inside of the motor. More "turns" or "winds" = faster motor, though you may need to adjust your gearing ratio to achieve the best results, and also to help prevent damaging your motor/esc. Depending what motor you wish to run, consider that your esc MUST be up to the job. For example, if you wish to run a 21 turn motor, your esc must have a turn limit of 20 turns minimum. I try and always keep a couple of turns gap, just in case. If you choose a "NO LIMIT" esc, you can fit any motor you wish, though you may still need to adjust your gearing. Depending on your budget, there are a badword of alot of esc's out there, i always use either the kit esc (good for any 27 turn motor, though some people have used slightly faster ones with no problem) or anything by NOSRAM or MSONIK. MSONIK are very good, quick to set up and are waterproof. NOSRAM, again are very good esc's and there are several to choose from, depending what motor you wish to use. Though if you choose a good NO LIMIT, or even a low limit, you dont have to worry about upgrading in the future. Hope this helps. Cheers Modelmaniac[6]

got to jump up and disagree, i have started to really push my Rising Storm to the limits now. Huge truggy wheels and spike tyres give loads of grip and yet the AS-12 servo is coping fine, been in from the start and no problems at all. My Storm has 13x3 motor and 4000mah pack, i definately recommend AS-12 servos, for anything! modelmaniac[6]

I feel for you and im so sorry for your loss, i can say without doubt i know exactly what your going through. Roughly two years ago, my wife and i returned from holiday and were surprised to see a small black cat, curled up in our back garden. We had never seen this cat before, so we just ignored it and that was that. Shortly after that, we shockingly realised what a poor state he was in. He was really thin, with his ribs on show and legs were really spindly. His coat was also in a terrible mess, with big clumps of fur all knotted and matted together. We started off by throwing him scraps of food, which he gratefully finished off. It carried on like that for a while, he came, we fed him, and he went. Some nights, he would jump onto the lounge window sill and stare in while we watched tv, we decided to see if we could find out who he belonged to as he was too friendly to be "just another stray". We asked neighbours, but nobody had ever seen him before so we decided to keep feeding him scraps in the hope he would put weight on and then just wander off on his own. After a while, during a soft moment, i made him a "cat house" out of an old cupboard with a blanket in it, we put it in the back garden next to the house. He would curl up in it to sleep, and shelter in it when it rained. One particular day, i was off work at the time, it was raining very heavily and the cat was sat on the outside window sill, absolutely soaked. My heart melted, and i ran outside and scooped him up in a towel and brought him in the house, i sat him down in front of an electric heater and that was that, he had us!! We called him "Scruffy" by this time, but before long this name didnt really suit him as he put weight on and his coat turned so glossy, you wouldnt think it was the same cat. We managed to trim all the matted fur out, and he looked beautiful. We decided to get him checked over at the vets. The vet couldnt put an age on him, but was pleased with his condition. He confirmed Scruffy wasnt microchipped, and was male. If we wanted to keep him then we could. So we did, and for two years he was spoilt rotten, he did whatever he wanted and was the friendliest cat you could meet. He had the run of the house, (we decided to keep him in the house, lots of mean kids near where we live) he used the litter tray fine and we used to find him in the strangest places!! He showed us so much love,and was doing great, but one day we realised he didnt look as happy and chirpy as normal. He has started to lose weight and had problems keeping his balance. We kept our eyes on him for a few days, then decided to take him to the vets for a check up. We were then told the worst news, he had developed Renal Failure and due to his age, would rapidly go downhill in front of our eyes. We looked at his little face, and knew there was only one thing we could do. It was the hardest decision, we ever had to make and stayed with him till the end. He looked so peaceful and we knew it was the kindest thing to do for him. We left the vets, we didnt even make it to the car before bursting into tears, we had lost a friend and a part of our life, he was a member of the family and took our hearts with him. We miss him terribly, and werent even thinking of having another cat but out next door neighbours cat had kittens, and offered us one. We couldnt say no, so picked a small ginger male, who we called "Chester". He gets all the love he would ever need, but we still think of poor Scruffy from time to time, we even kept his collars. He will be up there somwhere, looking down at us, and hopefully approving of our new pet! Hope you get through this delicate time, my thoughts are with you. Craig (modelmaniac[6])

hi all, after realising i had cracked my Rising Storm's front shock tower, (at the last Clumber meet!) i decided i needed an alloy one. I had a look on ebay and RC-Drifiting had one for £6.20 including postage. I bought it Monday, sent postal order on Tuesday, the shock tower was sent out Wednesday and i recieved it the Thursday!! Its fitted and looks sweeeet. Great service and top seller, cant fault them at all! Cheers again Modelmaniac[6]
