  1. There are pictures of the PI factory. It was from the Shimbashi mangers trip there. Very clean and modern factory. Google is your friend if you wanna see the pictures.
  2. F1 tires and wheels will fit. They are both 200mm wide. The only issue is the F1 tires are smaller so might look a little silly
  3. There are a lot of bodies that will fit. The main thing is the servo will hang out the side of some of them. What sort of look are you going for such as years. Just about anything up until the late 90s body style will hide the servo. You can also go LeMans style as the width and wheel base is the same for most aftermarket bodies. The Tamiya C car bodies have different wheel bases so its case buy case for them. Let me know what you like and i can point you in the right direction. Cheers
  4. Hotshot. Interested in this. Paypal ready. PM coming your way
  5. Just looking for used 956 chassis plates or even the Toyota toms chassis plates. Im just using for hole locations so they can be beat up. Thanks for looking
  6. I about have something figured out but wanted to ask about programs. Mach3 i understand what it does. About Cambam do i need another program to actually design parts? Cambam says it has some design software but is this enough? I am thinking about buying Cambam but in the future i would like to 3d also and do not know what cambam allows as far as design goes. Also tool paths. Does cambam have tool paths? I want to buy the programs before i decide the machine. I know it going to be one of the China machines just dont know what size yet. Any advise on designing programs would be welcome. Thanks again
  7. Thats Grahoos first hornet. Long gone but you can see what its evolution in his Grasshopper.
  8. Your advice really help as the machine you have now is what im interested in. I looked into the programs you use and there is a nice bundle for both around 300 i found. You say you cut MDF. Would you ming posting a picture of something you have cut. I used to use MDF on military aircraft so i am familiar with it. It seems slightly softer than carbon if i remember correctly. One last question do you know of a forum that i should look into? Thanks again
  9. Proxxon tools are pretty good. I have been using the jigsaw they make for cutting chassis plates. I have looked into the mills they make for doing blukheads but right now im looking for something that can do chassis plates. Thanks for the advice though
  10. Does anyone have any recommendations for a small desk top size mill. Im mainly looking on ebay but most are descrided kinda strange. Im wanting to cut frp and carbon. Any advice would be great Thanks in advance
  11. There is a 380 adapter for the grasshopper and RM01. Both of these would be easier to find than the normal brat part. You could also level out the body by using some foam under the truck bed on the left side. Just a little will level out the bed pretty good. Good luck with your brat. Great truck
  12. Clearly out my Japanese rc magazines. Around 100 text is in Japanese but plenty of pictures to look at. 10 dollars each and that incudes the shipping world wide. Its hard to list every cool article or feature in them but if there is something special you are looking for send me a pm and i will see what i can find in them. Lots of interesting ideas and events. Most are over 100 pages printed one quality paper and in good shape. Cheers
  13. I have a nib Holiday buggy. The box is a little beat but everything inside is fine. Its Japanese so no speed controller. Looking for $75 that includes the shipping. Nice car just didnt get around to building it and its just taking up space. Paypal preferred and would take trades for anything 1/12 onroad. Can send pictures if needed Cheers
  14. Its the US Dollar,Kits here in Japan havent risen.
  15. It helps a little,im looking far a current EX-5UR. I should have been more clear. Thats a really nice picture though,I might do one of those if my EX-II works out. I will some pictures as i go if anybody is interested.
  16. This might sound strange but Im looking for pictures of a Ko Propo EX-5 opened up. I want to see if the circuit boards are one piece or not. I am looking for a donor transmitter to take the guts out and put inside a vintage EX-2. If anybody has any pictures it would really help, frankly i would be surprised if anybody did. Thanks in advance.
  17. Boss Speed? If its at boss speed you should visit Nakamura model shop, still has nip Tamiya spares dating back to the first 100,No website and no steady hours but 15 minutes from Boss Speed. Also you have to ask for the parts, one of those shops that wonders why you would want old parts.
  18. If Hobbico did not pump money into HPI America it would have just folded up in America, just like Yokomo. The difference between HPI and Yokomo is Yokomo doesnt need America, but HPI does. HPI has basically ignored the Japanese market for 20 odd years,so the money from Hobbico might really be needed. HPI is nothing without the American market.Yokomo has a huge fallowing in Japan which is traditionally a more reliable market for RC. The only down side is,I thought HPI bodies were made in California,so people will lose jobs in California.I could be wrong about the bodies being made in California though.
  19. RJ Speed is not Bolink,RJ Speed is owned by a former Bolink employee that was there from the start of Bolink from the slot car days. The Rule family ran Bolink into the ground but the former employee bought out a lot of it and the bolink name was sold off and has now gone out of bussiness again. RJ Speed is all that is left really of the Bolink ideas but it is not the same company, just some of the same designs
  20. I have never seen any other stickers for Squat other than the Yellow and I have been using them for years. and Cosmo Energy doesn`t really have decals. I am guessing these decals are made by somebody else like Wrap Up or something. But you can try e-mailing them, both are very small companies but there might be somebody that can help you out. http://www.squat.co.jp/ra-top.html http://www.cosmoenergy.com/
  21. Thats basically what one of the birds they killed with re releases
  22. When ebay change the search system a lot of parts disapeared, before I would see parts listed in Germany even if the sold only to Germany. Now all i get is a few hits even if I used international option. There are still a ton of parts here in Japan, but they are not worth getting out of bed and looking for. re releases have made a lot of parts less valueable.or driven money away from old parts for new kits. If you really want old parts try trading with people that want to trade.
  23. Buy a Marui and then you will see that they are not as good as Tamiyas, The Big Bear looks great, but the tie rods always pop off and the counter gear is made of cheese. I love the looks of the truck but it does not hold up as well when ran. The Samuari is a very cool car and nicely designed, but the big problem is the plastic its made from, the plastic is so brittle that if you flip the Samuari you will break the rear gear box. Try to find a none broken gearbox today is very rare. Another thing is the gear box has a bearing in the front where the shaft comes out to drive the chain,if this has wear it will break the race that the bearing sits in making the chain completely loose and also destroying the gears in the gear box if you use the plastic bushings. If the gear box was from Tamiya plastic it would not have these problems. I have owned both of there cars and I love them but I dont want anymore Marui cars just because I know it will break some plastic part a little to easy. My opinion about most of the other brands of cars is they are way over priced, except for the Optima and The RC10,these two are well put together cars that are very cheap on the bay right now. Only the RC 10 needs some hand fitting in the 6 gear box to smooth it up,but they came this way back in the day also.
