made the 2wd modified a final at the aussie 1992 off road nats , qualified last mind you , lol ,, got halfway into the 3rd and final deciding leg , which was to be decided by the two top guys , make or break which ever one finished first in this final leg was the national champ ,,, and on the last lap as the leader was overtaking me ,, i.e lapping me with the second guy right on his tail , i did the unthinkable ,,, ,,,,, i clipped a corner and took out the race leader !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , i nearly died right there , but to my absolute utter relief he retook the lead on the last corner before the amb loop , i still shake when i think about that day[8)][8)][8)][8)]

go on strap that 8 turn in , i used to run a drag car based on a hornet gearbox ,had a 7 turn single in it and 12 cells using a 100amp microswitch as a speed control , the gearbox was bulletproof , just be sure its ballraced

AS FOR RACERS , ILL GO THE DYNASTORM , FROM 1988 THRU 1993 I RACED ASSOCIATED RC10 CARS IN MODIFIED CLASS IN SYDNEY ,, VERY COMPETITIVE CLASS AT THE TIME!! , AND FOR SOME REASON WHEN THE DYNASTORM CAME OUT I HUNG UP THE RC10,S AND TRIED 2WD MODIFIED WITH THE TAMIYA ,, APART FROM MUNCHING REAR BALL CUPS AND UNI JOINTS ,"MAINLY DUE TO THE 10X3 OR 11X2 I USED TO RACE WITH ", LOL , IT WAS A GREAT CAR , I WON MANY RACES WITH IT AT MY LOCAL TRACK , WITH AMUSED LOOKS FROM ONLOOKERS AS NEVER HAD THEY SEEN BEFORE A TAMIYA 2WD TAKE IT TO THE RC10,S , LOSI,S AND SCHUMACHERS OF THE DAY, BUT ONCE I DISCOVERED THE WORLD OF WOMEN I HUNG UP THE RADIO FROM COMPETITIVE RACING [][][][]

not gonna happen , i spoke to the australian distributor for tamiya and offered him a slab of beer for info on the hornet ,, he rang japan , US , UK and confirms the hornet is not making a comeback , otherwise he,d give me a txt-1 nib if he was wrong ,, dont worry , im holding him to it[][][][]
