  1. i run mine in on tornado 25% havent had any problems with it still goes well
  2. it really dosent make any difference as it is only 30mm i thought down that line and thought about all the gearing the problem is spares for these i know the hobby co is only just getting basic stuff in at the moment i will try this set up for a few weeks and then see how to improve it
  3. a big tip for any owners on here i have found that the nitro thunder sits a lot lower than most other buggies its ok for tracks or preety level places but my local track is useless ,i have fitted 1/8th proline buggie wheels these are about 30mm bigger than the standard wheels, i have had to shim them 2mm out with a hexagonal 14mm washer inside to avoid the outer arms but what a difference it has made the handling and power is great.this is what tamiya should have done first when they released the model.it also looks the part now if anyone wants a photo of the wheels on it e mail me.[]

  5. well i went out 8 days ago and purchased the new nitro thunder as my first nitro car,and boy what a beast! this will climb walls and as for what i have read "overengineer`d"well it has to be, i have given it a pounding after the running in time of course its been nailed into a tree at 25mph there was no damage at all, front bent back and absorbed impact,i would say this is not a racer but great fun,i for one am well impressed with it ,whats your views?
