I noticed on Champ-RC that Tamiya is coming out with a XB Tamtech 934 as well!
-
Well, my 934 is in the mail from Champ and I pre-ordered two Tamtech Porsches....Not a huge fan of the RSR, but will make a nice in the box display piece!
-
EDIT: About that ridiculous price on eBay: when you are the first seller you can get a lot of money (same for the PS3 hype etc.).
Other sellers see this and dump a load of the same item to make some easy money.
When there are more, prices will drop and will stabilize again.
I don't think you will see the same thing as the PS3, problem with the PS3 is the first day or day before release few actually had the PS3 so prices went crazy, then 50 million were listed and the price drop back down...
With this, most will keep their kit, that leaves very few for the open market and you will not only see the price be high but probably go higher as fewer and fewer are available.

1.9 wheels with 12mm hexes work with the stock tires....2.2 wheels will fit but will rub without a lift...top speed maybe 15mph in top gear...you could put a faster motor but why? It handles like a truck would at high speeds...like dog doo-doo, this is not a touring car!

Looking for Blitzer Beetle, new or used.

world wide relese date!!! 29th of september!!!!!
ummm...it's Sept 25th, not the 29th
-

OK, so its been mentioned that its only a few days till release.
Is this release date still the same. I havent seen any concrete confirmation as to the release date?
last info was it was delayed with no new release date set
-
JAnderson, I guess you just will never get the point will you?
Say I work for Tamiya, or any company and someone was posting on a message board that I am also a member of a message about a product release date being delayed. Now myself being and employee of said company would either post a reply back stating info about the delay or post nothing if information is not allowed to be divulged. Yet you want to question people and act like it's untrue and your hiding a secret only you should know when the info was on the website. Why not answer new product questions like all other company reps who post on message boards by divulging information that is allowed and shooting down the untruths that all of us have seen on message boards?
This is how I would have answered a delay question:
Hello, due to some last minute changes (or whatever) we will have a slight delay in the release of our new product. I will post more information when available!
(Just take a look at Kent Clausen's posts on RC Zone about the 6 month delay on the HPI Baja 5B, he kept all the people well informed about changes, go ahead, take a look.)
I'm just hoping you see the point, again.
-
Why don't you JAnderson, just keep us updated to avoid such issues? I mean you seem like you just want argue with people rather than giving straight answers. If you can't say anything, just say that. I posted the delay info here: http://myrcmt.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=396&st=0 and you seemed clueless about the delay and for someone who represents the company, you need to present yourself better than you do!

This is what I picked up. I use the spektrum system on my touring car and it works great. $159 on ebay as well.
DX6 DSM 6CH Park Flyer System w/4-S75Key Features
6 Channel Park Flyer System 10 Model Memory 2.4GHz DSMâ„¢ (Digital Spectrum Modulation) AR6000 Receiver and S75 Servos Included Servo Channel Resolution: 1024Overview
You’ll say goodbye to channel concerns at RC sites. Glitching and range impairment from motor, servo, ESC and mechanical RF “noise†will be a thing of the past. And no form of channel selection will be necessary on your part.

Runner- a R/C that you use, run, play with
Shelf Queen- Not a runner, usually vintage sits on the shelf looking cool!

Hey guys and girls dont be rude when questions are asked, and dont make judgements about my modeling skills. The question about using a special plastic thread lock was a legitiment one due to the fact that tamiya models tend to have screws come out. By the way I have two ford f-150's stadium truck,a mini cooper the Alfa romeo gta,two tamiya hummers,a tamiya Miata,The wild willy, and the Stadium blitzer all of which are plastic chassie's and the screws tend to work themselves loose on these models, not to mention two losi trucks and a few rc motorcycles and associated models ,thank you very much, and the tamiya models are the only models that i have a problem with screws comming out .So I was wondering if there was a special threadlock for plastics and you folks give me all this attitude ,that is sad
Not trying to be rude..I have never had screws loosen out of plastic, unless of course the plastic is stripped out. Maybe you haven't built enough, but there is no such thing as thread lock for plastic, you could use some glue or super glue. Don't over tighten you screws into plastic and strip it out and they shouldn't back out.
-
hey ! what do tamiya drivers use to keep the screws from comming loose????? since the cars are all plastic, is there a special lock-tight availiable?
Whew! Must not build many cars, that is the problem with this RTR generation, they have no clue of building a car.
Anyways, you don't use thread lock on screws that go into plastic, anyone should know that. As for metal too metal use threadlock. Simple, huh!

With pics of just a prototype and the RCX show still showing a prototype, do you really think that release date is going to be June 24th?? I hope so, but from a prototype to release in 45 days??

Hello wanted to know if you have the RC NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune - TT01 Item #58364 Item #58364 in stock yet, or when you may have it in stock?
Thanks!
-
Well, just came from from local hobby shop and asked if they could pre-order me one, and it's already on the system, no price but the truck is listed for pre-order. Still want to order on from Rc Champ since they should get them a month earlier than the USA. I guess I'll have two!
-
June 24th is right around the corner, anyone know when/where we can pre-order one?
-
The kit is $124.00, ($114.00 w/Towers discount)
