Evening all i am restoring an old FF01 and the ball diff sounds like a bag of marbles but i cant get the dam thing open lol can anyone help and tell me how it opens (i dont have a manual) or is it sealed? if it is sealed then its toast so if anyone has once i can have let me no or pm me?.... heres what it looks like just in case (am sure you all know but.....)

Just reading the above i now see why i couldn't get them to drift..... 17turn at least!!! it says lol and the rims are also pit-shimizu PS-0210M RACING 5 SPOKE WHEEL, GOLD PLATED 4 pcs. per set Plated in the same quality as jewellery . same quality as jewellery?..... YEAH LOL

twisty cheers for that you are right on the money..... a quick google and i came up with this tyre link WOW these wheels do have quite a good rep i heres some info copied from rcdriftclub.com reviewing them and other drift tyres (might be of use to drifters???)

cheers guys - i also was thinking some cheap Ansmann wheels with the shiny centres i have seen some similar on ebay before. i have given the tyres a quick try on my TL01 standard runner and they just don't handle right? no grip? but the paint doesn't help that. i am going to try them on my tuned chassis and see how they fair with greater power???

Good evening everyone, well i would like to say hello again i have been really busy lately and as a consequence the hobby and this site got left behind for a wee while. but i am back for now and ebay has befriended me again with its tamiya offerings lol.... (has anyone noticed the searches have gone **** on ebay?) anyway i am here to ask you guys for some help on these wheels (see pic) wrote on them is 'Tamiya Dunlop Formula-R'. These come with a chassis i won on ebay and look like the user was trying to use them as drift wheels as he has put some really thick paint on the tread??? the tyres are rubber but they are by far the hardest rubber tyres i have ever seen could these be drift tyres or some super hard road tyres? can anyone help me???? cheers.....

I just ordered the speed tuned gears i am making my TL01 my drifter now i have seen a carbon prop shaft on ebay from the us it was about 10 but other than that i cannot see any on there??? anyone no where to buy one?

Wow some good info here guys it has really helped me today i have been working on my Dirt Thrasher today i have ordered a few parts metal motor mount, 18 and 19 pinion and the speed tuned gears and a 19t motor. so ill see what kind of ouff that gives it lol should be fun.......

is that the one you sent me pictures of? if not how much for the one you sent me pic's of mate?

Howdo everyone well its that time of year again cold and snowing so i am wanting something to keep busy in my spare time. I have never had a front mounted motor chassis before so i am keen to see the differences. I am wanting a TA03F or FF02 or FF01, i have seen a few on ebay lately but i am not sure which is the best buy? can someone straighten this out for me?? if anyone has one the wish to part with drop me a PM or post a reply... I am not in need of a runner but i don't want one where ill need to replace every single part you know what i mean lol nor do i want to be paying too much... so if you got a fixer uper knocking around i would be very interested cheers guys and have fun xmas............. Afternoon guys, does anyone know which part tree the front damper stay comes off for the Dirt Thrasher or a part number? I am assuming it would be te same as the Manta Ray? or does anyone know of a good replacedment as mine are starting to ware pretty bad... or does anyone have one they dont need anymore? cheers Rye

I have to agree with this i dont give mercy with any of my cars even the old Brat my 1st tamiya i ever had still get as much abuse today as it did when i was 10 lol its great! my old TL01 got some major stick! i have recently rebuilt this and to my surprise it runs mint and looks well (besides the underside which is worn to say the least) but the same cannot be said for the Celica GT4 bidy it had that is a right mess lol i have to give my TT01 props tho that takes some stick now and hasn't batted an eye lid... Oh n my TB01 its not been used much but never had to do more than clean that....
