  1. Morning everyone, well i have now given in until ive had some sleep but man am i frustrated! lol i stripped my TT01 down for a clean and re-greese and re assembled it like i have a 100 times and the dam wheels will not turn?.......... what have i done wrong lol i have had it back in bits 15 time lol (without the manual its at home) if i take the front bottom plate off the wheels will turn but make a grinding noise if i loosen the screws at the top it works OK, put it back together there solid??????? every part is in mint condition and its always been fine! can anyone let me know what i have done as i am at a wits end lol i will have to rebuild to the manual spec at the weekend.... Cheers....
  2. ummm you got me am not too sure what the price was now?.............. can anyone help out? ill find out how much i paid off my mate as i only want a simlar amount so i can get another one or just swap with someone?...
  3. Hi guys i have a Team Orion Core Modified 10 x 3 Motor for sale or trade for one with a little less power for my new drift car. There is a pic below. This motor has not even been used since i bought it the former owner is a massive racer and had to get rid of his old motors so i got a few but after a few posts i have been told this is way too powerful! The motor is like new and he fully serviced it for me too with new bushes etc (i dont know what else he had done i think he said skimmed and other stuff, it means nothing to me? lol) I am open to reasonable offers or trade for a more suitable motor for drifting...... I will try and find out how much postage will be tomorrow or the day after....
  4. Hey guys could anyone tell me roughly how much the Team Orion Core Modified 10 x 3 Motor is worth? i think i am going to stick it on ebay as i have a few bits to sell. or maybe stick it in the trades/sales bit in here first. also if anyone is intrested drop me a pm... The motor was used a little last year for racing by the guy i got it from. He did all the business with it before he sold it so its like new and i have never used it as i dont have an ESC that can power the thing and i need a new motor for my new found drifting addiction lol
  5. hummm good point i have a Mtroniks RV11 so its too much! dammmm
  6. Cheers guys, Yeah the element took some soldering! i have got a pretty good iron though so it wasn't too bad. I will change the two motor around then, the Element in the TT01 which has some decent hopups and the Flux in the TB01 which has the adjustable mount which made life much easier! So the Orion Core is way too fast hummmm i may have to sell that or swap for another more sensible motor. As far as am aware this is a ex race motor and was fully rebuilt when i got it last year and its never been used? so anyone? orrrr I really want to give the Orion Core a go and just see how quick it could be lol
  7. Hi all, i have 3 modified motors two are in use at the moment but i know nothing about them can anyone give me anymore info, to be honest i just want to know which would be the fastest? I have the vega in my TT01 for the road and i have just fitted the Orion Peak to my TB01 but i think it should be the other way round? am i correct in thinking the Orion Peak is a much better motor? Also what sort of performance would i expect to get for the Orion Core Modified, would this be worth a go in the TT01 or the TB01?... Thanks in advance... Vega Flux 19t Motor Team Orion Peak 19t Element V2 Motor Team Orion Core Modified 10 x 3 Motor
  8. just had all the rear gearbox in bits inc the diff n its mint!? Bt stil real lowd in reverse, forwards is fine?
  9. hi can anyone help with the above? I am striping it back down now
  10. HI, i have looked at the manual and you can use a 19t and a 58 and use the center A slot for the motor which is the same as the 16t it says its 7.94, also i did not know there was an alloy one for the tb01, i want one lol does anyone know where they sell them or and ebay user?... the 19t is from my TT01 is that OK? Well since writing the above i have run the car its much better a little faster but the gear box is noisey when in reverse?... can anyone help? i sounds like its coming from the shaft? or the motor? i am sure everything was installed correctly and had a bit of grease on there? forwards sounds fine all though there is a very very faint clicking?.. i think i will have to strip it down again tomorrow? cheers for all the help!......
  11. Yeah i did thanks mate, i swapped them over yesterday evening but i only had i 19t pinion so i used that with the 58t spur. i do have a 55t spur what would the performance difference be if i used a 19t pinion and a 55t spur? cheers....
  12. nothing better than leaving the parts to soak over night in coca cola or pepsi it works superb mainly on real car parts but also on r/c cars too. give it a try....
  13. that what i figured, if the suspention is slightly soft then a set of stabilsers may carm some of the roll caused by this and they are a lot cheaper than CVA's. I think for starters i am going to stick a normal 540 motor in and may be the speed tuned gear set as its only 5 and my drifting skill is pretty poor!
  14. wooo just checked the pack of spare bits that came with the TB01 when i bought it and it got a 55t and 58t spur in there so at the weekend the one in at the mo is getting out of there and the 58 in and a 20t pinion on the stock motor for now Cheers everyone for your help
  15. I have been looking on ebay for some of the parts you surgested for the TL01 Unfortunately i bought the front & rear adjustable uper arms and adjustable tie rod ends from DINBALL for the TT01 lol. So they should help me try and control the 19 turn motor + i am thinking about front and rear stabliser kits for the TT01, are they any good? There is one hop up for the TL01 that has cought my eye and thats the Tamiya TL01 Speed Tuned Gear Set NEW 53342 TL01B TL01RA are these worth ago the reviews look promising and they are pretty cheap... Heres the link to it on ebay - EBAY LINK I am also going to give the looked diff ago when i get a glue gun, which i cannot wait for as i have not used one since school!
  16. Cheers Origineelreclamebord Thats great! do you think the locked diff would prove benificial for drifting? i can see how it would as there would be no slipping in the gears but is that cheating
  17. Very good info cheers!.... hummmmm a tricky choice i have both a TL01 and a TT01 but the TT01 is a great touring car and i really have no use for the poor TL01 so i think it will be the TL01, i know its going against what you advise which all sounds true but i dont have the funds for another TT01 at the mo... i might sell the TL01 or trade it some how and get another TT01??...... I am going to lower the surspention write down on the TL01 and go from there... By the way its taking time to get used to this drifting lark! i think i need a stick controller! Oh and good use of perpendicular taliesin lol
  18. I see what your saying good advise i need to get a few extra parts if i am going to keep the 19turn in as its pretty mental at the mo and really fighting for grip. But superb fun!
  19. Great.... well when i finally get round to taking CRP cage/strenthener thing off and the servo cover ill pull it out and have ago......
  20. Nar thats cool mate... i did not help by using the wrong terminology, cheers anyway
  21. Is this the gear set i should be looking for? ebay link removed - read the rules
  22. Evening all I have a TT01 & TL01 which would be best for drifting? i have tried both and i seem to think the TL01 but i know lot of people say to use the TT01 any reasons why? Cheers
  23. Cheers agaim i will have a look tmoz and see if there is any info with the optional parts (i did not fit them they were on when i got it) but thanks and i am going to get the optional gear set for the tb01....
  24. arrr sorry i ment tooth not gears sorry guys ill get used to the termanology one day??? Yeah i think its 16 turn cheers for that wrc action also thanks for the extra info its very helpful. the weight difference is very noticable as you say, i think my TT01 has a 21tooth in it not too sure but i know it came with all this below?... sounds good..... could the 58 from the TT01 be used on the TB01?.... cheers
  25. Hiya, thanks for the offer but i am unsure until i strip it down at the weekend, i have a few spares here (more than i thought) and a few bits coming from ebay so ill go from there but if i do ill drop you a PM and thanks again........
