ok if i see it right i f plug into my fully automated lipo charger and set for 2 cells it will do it automatically, anything i should watch out for?

yes i have searched hi and low , my hor will be fully chromed full of alloy parts and steel gears, its just the pinion i cannot find as yet

OK i have just caught the bug twenty years after they came out.. Can anyone help me on replacement motor pinions, the stock plastic one will not last i am sure and the Kyosho gpw 5 is impossible to find can anyone suggest where i can buy an alternative metal (not Ali) one from Thanks

I am on two wheels now, bored with Optimas extra so currently restoring a Kyosho HOR !! just finished 2nd coat of white and 1st coar met blue, most hopup parts have arrived, just wating on a few bits then its buildtime/ these lipos should be straightforward but i need to be certain i am not gonna blow it up !!

I have a 7.4 2s 4000 battery to charge, can i damage it if i get the setting wrong? do u need the extra small lead connected and why and what charge rate should i use is the auto setting safe sorry for the nerdie questions, but new to all this lipo lark

this thread gets more interesting as we go.. can someone now tell me the difference between a 4000mah ripmax battery @£40 and the same duty branded battery at £70 one would assume they all use the same chemical mix

its a duratrax 75a esc, its in my anderson m5 bike.. and says anderson on it but they are all the same. i searched online and found the manua and it says nothing about any protection l, i bought the bike off tc club unused but it had the brushless setup added by another so have no paperwork on it..

thanks mark, have checked on ebay for an auto cut off cant see anything. i found the charger u suggested and have watched that.. and have the battery under watch so nearly there !! i have a duratrax/anderson 75a esc, have checked online and the handbook makes no mention on autocutoff so assume it does not have this, any suggestions on what u to search on ebat for the failsafe alarm autocutoof? thanks

Can someone answer a few simple questions for an old school old timer frightened by all the new technology. I have just bought a ansmann 4500 nimh battery 1st new battery i have bought for years, and am using on my new brushless( 3800kv + 75a esc) setup anderson race bike. Here are the questions.. IF I buy a 7.2 v LIPO battery, will the bike go faster? how much longer will the run time be? Can i buy a 7.2v lipo that is same size as a std nimh? and what should i buy, prices vary wildly.. can i buy a 11.v lipo that is same size as a std 7.2v cell? anything i should know before going into lipo technology.? sorry for the stupid questions but i have been out of racing for years, just been restoring old cars and not running them, but have got the bug again..
