this what i was looking at 3350X Traxxas Velineon VXL-3s Waterproof Brushless Power System £169.00 stupid question but can i buy a 3 cell lipo that is the same size a std 6 cell 7.2v stickpack that i use now i assume the benefit of the BL setup is the ability to run 11.1v batteries for the extra performance? thanks

now you have opened a real an of worms.!! I have just watched a Ezrun 9T Brushless 3-in-1 Combo Motor + ESC + Program Cardsell 2nd hand on ebay for UK pounds £46 it handled 35a. i would have assumed this would have been the same performance as a 9 turn brushed motor, ie very quick, if your are saying that this would have given me no better perforance than one of my old demon/parma 27 turn motors, can u imagine how disappointed i would have been.. I have watched u yube videos of brushless setups and the cars go so fast and thats what i want.. at this point it will be for bashing but i would like a real fast car, i have a lovely old RC10 with a tekin mid engine conversion kit set up for roadand light off road use and a full graphite optima mid complete with all the extras to make them real tough ie ball diffs etc and would love to see these run witha quick brushless setup.. what would you reccomend for something with blistering performance and is there any downside to these more pro setups as i am a novice with brushless, ie can i damage them? thanks for all your help.. one other question does it matter if i am running 2 or 4wd with NL setups? and could i use the same brushless setup in my electric boats? Hi Daz, braintree is easy for me i am in ongar.. is this indoors? i would love to race, i dont own a crawler but have plenty of old tamiyas and kyoshos.. M3 minis would be fun.. keep me posted on any developments.. Chris

Guys,, some help please.. been restoring old vintage kyoshos and Rc10s for the last few years so well out of the scene, i run old Kyosho Lemans, parma and demon type motors so have lost the thread on modern technology, but fancy building a brushless car and i need a few tips. can you send me links from Ebay to hopefully iron out the milllions of choices i have. 1: what is the difference on all the lipo batteries 2c 3c what does 20c or 30c mean, and any recomendations of a decent battery. 7.4v size. 2: how many turn motor? and what brand and would one motor suit 2wd and 4wd drive also on road and off road, as i would like to use one setup for all scenarios. 3: what esc should i choose? and are they simple to setup? 4: what charger should i choose? finally will a brushless set up be that much more powerful than my old brushed motors that it will tear up the gears in my old optimas and RC10s thanks in advance for any help Chris (rockthemonkees)

Does (did) anyone know Mark Barham?? I recently bought an Optima Mid complete with Pit Box and contents from a junk store. The pit box had his name on it. Car has now been fully restored and i wondered if he would like to see it finished,and find out if he still races or runs RC Cars. Thanks in advance

It seems there is a shortage of race meetings in the essex area.. i would like to hear from anyone is who is keen to either build on an existing meeting or even start a new one i own a heep of old vintage cars both on an off road and would like to track race them gently..
