  1. Well, I'm using Microsoft windows Internet Explorer, if that would be my Browser - but what the heck is an OS combination ? Yeah, I meant it when I said I know nothing about computers [:$]. No "txt" speak please................ Chris, I tried to upload a pic to an existing model in my showroom (Kyosho Double Dare #1) and got this message: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14' [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.15-nt]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'favourite = 0,isTrade = 0 WHERE usercardetailsid=34151' at line 1 /showroom_editmodel_process.asp, line 257 Um, I have no idea what that means, but I was able to add a Trade and edit my "profile" picture in my details homepage ?!?! Also, still can't add a new model to my showroom Any suggestions Chris ? I need some serious computer lessons I think !
  2. http://www.planetgcustoms.com (The homepage features my Thundertech "Rage" Clod - which was in my showroom until the TC Crash) http://www.sebairbrush.com http://www.zeilkeracing.com All three also hold Ebay Auctions. If I get 5 people to buy from planetgcustoms, I get a freebie, so help me out fellas [Y] . Order 'em up and tell him/me that I referred you . Cheers.
  3. Well, like most others, I spend so much time at work that the only thing time permits me to do is to check out Tamiya Club [Y] !
  4. Hey SANDOKAN: I have found the service to be Hit & Miss at rc4wd. I have had good experiences but have found that it can take some time for a reply to come your way (unless you send a message saying you are filing a Paypal Claim). For example, right now I am unable to log into my account there and everytime I try to have a new password sent to my email account it doesn't work. It may be possible that the parts are still not yet stocked (some of the items on rc4wd seem to take a long time to be re-stocked). Good luck.

  6. Same problem plus: Well, I CAN'T check the showroom updates either (I can only see the few on the homepage), I CAN'T re-add my models that went missing from the showroom. Oddly, these all worked before the big "crash". I find it irritating. I CAN't search for members either. However I am not computer literate so it could just be my PC, however I find it odd that it all worked before. Even more odd is that I can click on the "more" button for the Trades Section on the homepage and that works - but not for the Showroom entries. I need some serious help []

  8. Congratulations [Y] ! Well, between your sweet nib usa-1, a few nib big brutes on TC and my personal favourite the Double Dare (pictured below) we have the best Kyosho trucks ever made ! Try to get all the original Hop-Ups (if they had any) like I did for my Double Dare (fog lights, head lights, bearings, motors etc) for a real cool build up ! Oh, post some good pics too !
  9. Chris: I only get the "first stage" of model selection when trying to re add my deleted models to my showroom. I tried using firefox & microsoft internet explorer. I don't know a thing about computers so if you ask for more info be specific and simple [:$]. Need some help I want to re-add my recent models ! As an added bonus, if I click on the "more" button on the homepage for the "recent showroom models" NOTHING happens. So basically, I get the homepage with the inability to add my last few models and I can only view the new listing on the homepage. Help please.
  10. Well, I don't need six - but I'll take at least one - posted to Canada ! I think you'll need to post a "postage cost" reply [].
  11. Well done [Y] ! Nice tires/rims too. The shell ain't that bad either.
  12. Don't forget fellas - that's the MSRP []. I'm sure in a few months the street pirice might be somewhat reasonable, now they just need a performance reverse brushless for speed demons like myself !
  13. Great idea ! What would it cost to ship to Canada ?
  14. Well crawler fans - here is a production brushless crawler set-up with reverse rotation (for those dual motor trucks such as the Clodbuster) by Novak [Y]: http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=222037 About time !
  15. You got that right kadtoy. My distributor/importer and LHS always say the same thing: "It is out of stock and will take weeks" BUT it seems the parts are always available from Tamiya. Oh well, I have good luck with Ebay, some US Online shops and of course TC Members [Y]. Seems the only thing readily available is that **** from traxxas & hpi [].
  16. Hey kadtoy. I spoke with a rep at Tamiya USA and tried to order some parts as well a few months ago. I am located in Canada which meant they would not ship here because it "violates" the agreement with the Canadian Importer []. So I assume it is the same across the board. Funny, he would have accepted my payment and shipped to a US address though (of course that would have been double postage costs because then I still need it sent here). Unfortunately, the Candian Importer/Distributor here doesn't seem to have it together.
  17. Well, my idea of the "most collectible" would be the one that has the LEAST number of NIB kits available in the world. As far as my opinion - well I would suggest that money wise Sand Scorcher/Bruiser/Mountaineer. However, the first R/C model by Tamiya would be the most logical. Personally though, the Sand Scorcher does nothing for me but as far as my most desirable kit ? The Mountaineer/Bruiser but not for monetary reasons -- rather, personal memories [Y]!
  18. Huh, that looks like a good time ! Funny, I live in Cambridge, right next door to Kitchener/Waterloo and I didn't even know about that event. Well, I will be working those dates so I can't attend []. Can we anticipate some pictures of the event / RC Race though ?
  19. Gregor: What is this "bugout" you are referring to ?
  20. 30 years old but my co-workers will argue I'm far younger because of my "toy collection". They don't know what they are missing - more for me [].
  21. Thanks for the great transaction [Y].
  22. thanks for the compliment toby. It's my new built clodbuster "rage". Yes it's running 2 x 17 turn venoms. The esc is the LRP Quantum Pro Reverse ESC. It was a little pricey and I think it's right near it's limits with these motors. Oh, with a 7 cell batery they go very well and with a six cell battery it's still very quick ! (nothing like my HV Maxx Brushless txt-1 though). I think yours will be for the txt-1 ? I would go with a Novak Super Duty if you can. Or any "no limit" esc such as Novak Super Rooster (although they are wired for one battery). Although with the super duty it's meant for 2 battery packs/motors. I'm currently building a Thundertech "Ripper" TXT-1 Chassis and will be using a Novak SS5800 brushles system, so I might have to hijack a line in your topic here and post a pic when it's done []. I got a fair deal on the esc at "rcboyz" on Ebay. Here's the Super Duty Specs: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...LXJAC0&P=ML Here's a pic of the esc I'm using for the twin 17 turns:
  23. Well - the Clodbuster. Not much to say except two thumbs up [Y][Y]. I remember when I was a young fella and it came out. The advertisements from Tamiya had it crawling over a Hornet/Grasshopper, the shear size of it was great ! Yes, it can be said it doesn't compare to todays models but that can be said about most vehicles from that era. Today - the T-Maxx is featured everywhere and has hop-ups galore but when the Clod came out - the same could be said for it ! I remember the numerous magazine articles featuring many different mods from beach bashing to custom six wheeled Clods. Oh well, someday the T-Maxx will be relegated to the background as well...............BUT the Clod drivetrain is still the backbone for many of todays projects [].
  24. Welcome to the Club ! You will find all sorts of great information and a large number of great fellas to answer your questions []. Be sure to browse the Showrooms/Tamiya Models Section to get ideas for your Cheetah & Lunchbox. Although mine isn't built, I know that Lunchbox is a wheelie machine and great fun to drive !
  25. Hey Mobias, how about something like these (Duratrax Evader ST Front Shocks): http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXAMK1&P=7 [Y] Duratrax has a good inexpensive selection (although I haven't shopped for other brands). I just put 2 sets on my newest build here:
