Hey everybody ! I have just acquired a NIB Evo IV MS #49353. Ironically, I am only familiar with monster truck size rims (see my showroom), I need some assistance. Can someone point me in the direction of some aluminum rims (that will polish to a brilliant shine) that would fit this vehicle and which tires have that "scale" look that would work as well ? If you are wondering, it's gonna be a "showpiece" at some point. I'm very picky [], so the more suggestions the better ! Cheers

Well, here I thought we would be talking about the TXT-1........................you got me ! Seriously, I couldn't agree more with the topic. Some of us don't spend much time on computers - so ocasionally some "txt" talk leaves me baffled ! I am votingl for the return of proper sentences.

Question, maybe I missed it but I'm wondering. Is the transmission 3 different speeds ( Like the Semi's ) or is it more like the Bruiser where it has 2wd, 4wd, Hi, Lo etc ( I think that's right ). Anyone have an idea or do we know yet. I'm not terribly familiar with the tranny's of the bruiser or semi's. Is it an all new tranny ? [:^)] As far as the Multi Function Unit, I know those can be pricey, so can we anticipate the "poor mans" version of just a complete light kit ? I also think I saw a photo or video where the push bar on the front is an entire bush guard or was that just a late night ? Who else is actually going to buy one ? I will get two for sure - but the suspense is starting to eat at me !

Well, I just inquired with RC Champ how to order one from them and they replied to me that it won't be available until July - but they didn't give an exact date. And yes, let's all talk about the F350 truck fellas [].

I agree that ebay seems to have more and more scammers. Personally, I leave my major purchases to being done in person at a store - I have found that way returns are easier and quite often you get to "haggle" the price (I try not to pay full price for anything expensive). Plus you usually have the benefit of support services by a person ! As far as ebay goes: buyer beware. Sad but true.

When I was 15 yrs old a neighbour down the street offered to sell me one of the following: a new Bruiser, a new Sand Scorcher or a used Kyosho Datsun (nitro powered). I went with the kyosho and it was a piece of ****.......................................

The longer the delay, the more cash I can save ! Then I can spend it all on the options Tamiya will have ! Although, the suspense is killing me [].

Great topic. i have to agree - I am the same way. I only have 4 built trucks at the moment (one is a shelf queen for life) but everytime I look at them I think "I need to replace that.......polish that.....try this....change that....." My txt-1 has had the most parts changes and I still can't satisfy myself [:|]. I don't know if it will ever end ! Even my shelf juggernaut is not immune, I plan on replacing all the hardware with stainless steel hex stuff and adding the blue chassis/bumpers in the fall ! I need some serious evaluation from a psychologist !

Brushless is the only way to go [H] !

Well, I can't speak for the novak 5800, but I dropped the HV-Maxx Brushless set-up into my TXT-1 and left the gearing stock (full bearings though). The drive train has held up and no problems with the speed control. It's nearly uncontrollable but great fun ! I am awaiting arrival of a Thundertech "ripper" carbon txt-1 racing chassis and was thinking of installing the 5800 into that, so I'll let you be the test guy [].

That sucks. I think the dumbest idea ebay ever had was allowing people to have private feedback, kind of defeats the whole purpose [:^)]. Anyway, I don't bid on private feedback seller's items no matter how much i want the item. I will also cancel any bids from private feedback buyers. Of course not much you can do when your seller switches to private after the deal ! Hopefully it will work out for ya.
