  1. Santa brought the Blade CX-2 helicopter ! Not Tamiya but it is R/C. Cool. http://www.bladehelis.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1250 Battery charging now .
  2. Wonderful trucks ! It's a shame to see one totalled I bet. I once sold a custom truck on Ebay only to watch in horror as the buyer re sold it in parts right after receiving it . The blue Hilux is wonderfully done. I'd like more info on that Clod Buster bodied truck in red ?! Looks to be a CR01 chassis with a Clod Body and LEDS , more pics of that one ?
  3. Collectible, not so much I think. Cool ? Certainly ! Worth the purchase .
  4. Awesome ! Me want.
  5. Thanks gentleman for your help, I actually found 3 sets stashed at the bottom of a spare items drawer in the hobby room ! Installed: Retro electronics: .
  6. Thanks ! Now I begin the hunt. May be difficult in these modern LED times.
  7. Hey all, I've just completed my Original Clod Buster Restore/New Build tonight. It's complete with all vintage electrics such as mechanical speed controller, power/economy switch and even 4 aa batteries for the receiver pack. I'd like to finish it off with the original Tamiya light bulb hop up set but I can't seem to find the part number ? Anyone know it off hand, I need to find one to purchase. The only modern parts are the 2.4 ghz radio and receiver. Even has the Chevrolet Grill and Tailgate. Just need to source out a professional paint job and original decals.
  8. Completed my Original Clod Buster Restore/New Build. Has the vintage original electronics including the mechanical speed controller, power/economy switch and receiver battery pack ! Now, just need to source out a professional paint job for the Chevrolet badged Clod Buster body . The only modern touch is the 2.4 ghz radio/receiver.
  9. Where do I order one of these ?
  10. Wonderful ! Thanks for sharing.
  11. I would be surprised if there was another body release. They normally release only one body version I think .
  12. Have you considered a "translucent" or opaque paint job. I've got a paintjob on a Pro-line shell that allows the chassis to be seen slightly. More: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=108188&sid=7434 Just a thought ! (I've since removed the driver so that nasty block on the side door isn't visible).
  13. Excellent video. Stock electronics ? Really scooting along.
  14. Looking good ! Most keep the bed of the body clear on these racing Clods like the 1:1's. Will you be ? I missed it, what electronics are you running ?
  15. Patience is a virtue, young Jedi ! One could argue for the cost of both of those builds you could have ordered one kit with much more complexity and building time required. Looking forward to see how you build up the CC-01.
  16. Now that is a nice ride ! Nice to see the mods happening already, if that was factory I'd be ordering now. Looks to me like a body from www.rcmodelx.com.
  17. If you can wait until the New Year I'll have a report for you, I plan on purchasing the XV-01 Pro in February . Ah, I also have been thinking of this chassis !
  18. Do you want more time building with some more complexity ? CC-01 is a simple 1 hour long build. Have you thought of a 3 Speed ? I'm partial to the Tundra. Bruiser re re is my favourite though. Or certainly a 4wd buggy such as the DB-02 Leonis, Durga, Neo Scorcher, Avante Re Re, Egress Re Re.Vajra to start !
  19. Whoa, this chassis is a real beauty. Nice thread !
  20. That's a fine looking truck ! This product by TC user: ant88 allows the MFU to be placed flat in the cabin. Allows the interior to be fitted. Mine was rushed but with patience it clears the cabin right up. Here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp?cid=54934&id=2965 Great fella to deal with.
  21. That's a great ride ! Well done putting a smile on his face. Is a helmet the next upgrade ?!
  22. Yep.
