  1. GOOD NEWS RyanL. I got one coming from CHAMP RC for a total cost of $364.23 CDN Funds. Includes shipping [Y] ! Sure beats the LHS.
  2. Okay. Would you fellas that have experience with these radios & have built them into your High Lifts be able to post some "How To Use/Set Up" a 4 Channel/6 Channel Radio ? I have read that the same stick is used for throttle/steering, the other for shifting [:^)] ? Little help here - my biggest venture has been a 3 channel pistol so far. Please post the radios you are using & the general set-ups if possible. Thanks in advance fellas.
  3. Excellent thread. Good photos & description. Nice to see another quality kit get some recognition (Besides the High Lift). That G-Made stuff is top quality. Will you be dropping the new Novak Crawler Brushless motors in for a complete Crawler test ? (Since you got such a deal on the Chassis it is the least you can do []). I'll be waiting for the video & performance review ! Oh - how long before it hits Ebay ? --- Those "Lockers" are Optional Parts [] --- Cheers
  4. Well, depends. Do you like green lights ? That is the Monster Truck Light Set by Tamiya which is specifically for the Mammoth & the Juggernaut. The only thing is the green "fog" lights are a little bit silly. I have the set installed in my Juggy as I am a big "original Tamiya Hop-Up fan". You could wait to see if the new F350 MFU could be outfitted (I plan on seeing if it will drop into my Juggernaut). Or you could purchase the new lights which are LED but they come in pairs & I think the "green" lights for the Mammoth go in the front grill in a set of five. I think some members here would make you a LED set if you asked, I for one don't know a thing about electrics []. Here they are:
  5. Yep. UPS = "Brokerage Fee" + Applicable Taxes on Declared Value USPS = Applicable Taxes on Declared Value. One way around it is to have items shipped to a relative in the US that can just bring them over if they visit or have it shipped with a declared value under 50 bucks (risky if it's big ticket item). Oddly, I have had several expensive items (G-Made DRagoon Chassis) shipped from Japan, Korea & had no taxes to pay ?! Oh well.
  6. Well, to each there own. But since you asked - I would say that the High Lift is best matched to more traditional schemes. Those "flame", "drip" & other jobs are more suited to street rods & tuner trucks (you know the ones - trucks that should have been cars). I think just a monochromatic scheme or a two tone is the best for the body. Maybe you should slap some wild creation on it - see if you can change my opinion ?
  7. Oh yeah - I'm looking..............don't forget those prices are in Canadian Funds or "funny money" to you USA Fellas []. We usually get jammed by Canada Customs. If it's more than a $50 item we pay taxes whether it's marked as a gift or not. Or worse, I had to pay UPS 50 bucks PLUS taxes on a NIB Bullhead the other day (cost me 90 dollars in total)! The 50 bucks was there "brokerage fee". Nice. I've been looking around at those High Lift prices - I may be on to something...................
  8. Where you located ? Just curious as I am in Ontario, Canada. That before or after our taxes & what shop that at ? I see Great Hobbies which is Canadian has it for $489.99 CDN + Taxes.
  9. Recommendations as follows: Motion Sensor Lights Beware of Dog Signs (even if you don't have one) Alarm Company "Decal" on the Premise (even if you don't have one) Although I don't know if they are legal where you are (check with the police), the "red laser beam sight" on a taser coupled with the "crackling" sound when it is being "readied" is very intimidating, even against groups. Pricey though A big baseball bat by your door Unfortunately, any weapon you have with you can always be TAKEN from you - something to think about ! Don't confront them - unless of course they are actually breaking in (then call 911 of course). Don't antagonize them but do defend yourself (catch 22, eh) The police do care, however by the time they arrive it is difficult for things to be done for several reasons. Usually, they are people you don't recognize, if no one recognizes them then the police have no where to "start" looking for them. These people are always the same ones, so once they do get "pointed out" the police will have much better luck. Unfortunately, it is difficult for police to actively police these problem areas for several reasons. At least where I live, the biggest problem is that police simply have too many "calls for service" to respond to and this leaves very little time to do any "pro-active" things. The next is that the number of police out there working is drastically less than the "public thinks is working" [:|]. Trust me. Good luck, keep us posted !
  10. Truly outstanding [Y]. That body just "pops" when you look at it. You have plans for the Lightbar/Headlights/Taillights or you waiting for the MFU ? Good work. You might need a "Body Lift" with those tires though []. But they look perfect !
  11. I know they deleted the Chevy badges for the Super Clodbuster but did they dissapear on the original? Yes - Tamiya got spanked by Chevrolet & the original Clod lost the "Chevrolet" bits. See MMBIB's post above for the explanation [Y] .
  12. Very nice find. You should be extra happy as that model is one of the first "batch" of Clods as it has the "Chevrolet" badges ! Enjoy it.
  13. Looks fantastic. How is the performance of the Brushless Crawler Motor ? How does it perform in each gear ? Most importantly how does it perform in general ? Nice addition those wheels.
  14. Well, I thought I saw it all, then this pops up ! So, who will be the first to add it to the "projects" section in a showroom ? http://news.en.autos.sympatico.msn.ca/arti...cumentid=938952
  15. Yeah Stefan, but remember this is business for me (a tax writeoff even!) ... in fact, I haven't even opened a single kit. Now.. we all have to endure (or at least that's my own personal take) the dozens of photos of the F350 kit "ready for building" that will no doubt keep popping up all over the TC home page. Nothing bad about being excited, but how many times will we be subjected to pictures of the F350 box and a stock buildup??! Shodog's already beat everyone to it! Anything similar is anti-climatic now! LOL! -Alex So - can we expect great things from InetRC soon ? I expect an outstanding addition to your showroom ! (No pressure though []).
  16. I have the Duratrax "Ultimate Tool Set" which has metric & SAE sizes for Hex Wrenches. Personally, I think they are of good quality.
  17. I feel your pain. Just received a package from UPS - wouldn't let me have it until I payed him $90 ! Taxes & "Brokerage Fee". Nice. Those ******s ! Lucky for him it was something I really wanted or I would have sent it back to the USA.
  18. [:$]. You noticed ! Sharp eyes there Andy. I tried a set of the Thundertech Clod to Emaxx Adapters and they are fine (unfortunately they are on my G-Made). Looks like any adapter would work though. Who has some extra TTR Adapters ? How about the New Era Clod to Maxx adapters ? Anyone ? Anyone ? Anyone ? Help me out fellas [].
  19. Well good news, I scored some sweet Alloy Rims ! Suited them up with some Imex Claw Dawg Tires. I think it looks great. Made a mount for the ESC (stock electronics tray is way too high on the chassis). Also added some RC4WD metal rod ends on the top chassis links. Parts Required as of yet: -Wheel adapters (to allow Maxx rims) -Body (thinking of a Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer) I welcome your comments & input.
  20. That is some great work. I envy you fellas who take the time to create these custom pieces. One of the reasons I enjoy this site - should be a great ride when you are finished !
  21. Well, didn't seem to be of interest when announced: http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/172482.aspx I for one would love to see it in person. I was thinking of dropping one into the High Lift as well ! So - if the MFU comes out - can you use the brushless or would the mfu have it's own ESC ? Here is a build-up thread with this system & the High Lift: http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6760
  22. Mobias, you definitely have a problem somewhere. I just finished taking my HV Maxx brushless out of my txt-1 and returned i to the original 540 motors & mechanical speed control. As a test i zipped it right over my legs ! Is it maybe a glitching problem with the radio ? Any exposed wires anywhere ?
  23. I'm more interested in the parts that people don't seem to know what they are for. Got some pics of those so we can start letting the imaginations run wild ?
  24. Well, oddly enough my Juggernaut has only 1 decal applied - the front grill "ford" symbol. So that won't help you []. However the best I got is the Tamiya USA link: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58256 Click on the thumbnails it should help a bit. Of course - the "naked" Juggernaut look is perfect in my opinion: However way you choose - be sure to POST a pic of the finished product because I love Juggernaut's !
  25. You tease. I wanna see the guts of that box spilled out all over the place !
