I think that Junfac and G-Made are the same company as they sell the same products. It would appear as if the Junfac Tlt Crawler would take no longer than a standard Tamiya Tlt kit to build. Actually looks like it would be quicker. If I remember correctly, it didn't take more than a few hours to build my tlt Max Climber (unfortunately I sold it before I found that great new chassis). I built a gmade dragoon and it was a breeze (only part not fun was threading on the links). So, I'm sure you can't go wrong !

Well, here are a couple of custom airbrushing guys who do a great job. Personally, I can't paint at all, so I have to shop around ! http://www.planetgcustoms.com/ [Y] http://www.sebairbrush.com/ [Y] http://zielkeracing.com/store.asp [Y] All three also hold Ebay Auctions. If I get 5 people to buy from planetgcustoms, I get a freebie, so help me out fellas []. Order 'em up and tell him/me that I referred you []. Cheers.

I recently completed a TTR "RAGE" Chassis []. I have to admit, aside from those funny US Fasteners (I managed to replace a large portion with metric stainless steel screws/nuts - but I ran out) this is a great piece of kit. The instructions are relatively well done and the parts all fit together very well. It's a simple chassis design but it is well constructed. I took it out for a test run and the truck handles very well ! Turns are a bit wide with 2 wheel steering but if you brake at the right moment it isn't too bad. Jumps well and lands even better. Great fun and I recommend it. Anyone else have some great ThunderTech builds/opinions to share, good or bad ? Oh Yeah [Y].

That would look sweet alright [Y]. I guess I shouldn't have sold that shell, hemi, and cap ! You been waiting to post that pick from my trades TWINSET [] ?

Best source for genuine Tamiya Hop-up Listings ?
backtomyroots posted a topic in General discussions
Good Day ! What would be the best source for all the genuine Tamiya Hop-Ups for each individual Chassis type be ? I find that the guide books/Website seem to only scratch the surface (unless I am looking in wrong spots) . Also, the online shops I check seem to only have a few here and there. But again, it seems that there are so many I have only scratched the surface when looking. So, where would a guy look ? [:S] -
Well - I think I found the first aftermarket manufacturer part []: http://rc4wd.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1_88 doesn't take long does it ! Does anyone have a link to a reputable and cheap Japan Pre-order page that's in english ? I've been fumbling around but unlucky so far - although I may just wait for StellaModels.
-
I will buy three once they hit the stores ! One will probably be from Stella, the other from my LHS (gotta support the local guy) !

rrood: Your best bet is Ebay for Juggy tires, I got mine used from a guy in Japan ! You'll enjoy the txt-1 build up. It is great fun []. -
TXT-1 Price

Excellent [Y]! Yes - they are huge kits - should look something like this when done: One upgrade I recommend is the Stainles Steel screw kit from RC Screwz, makes wrenching a lot easier. Oh, and some ball bearings. Enjoy the build ! Make sure you get some pics in here when you are done ! http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp?t=n&id=http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp?t=n&id=img7434_04042005144502_3.jpg'> -
F350......the pre-sale starts! 24,000 Yen
backtomyroots replied to Yangtao's topic in General discussions
That is absolutely the best new release Tamiya in the last couple of years ! Just when I had lost all hope, Tamiya pulls out all the stops and gives me something to look forward too [Y] ! Tamiya, I promise I will buy at least two of these and all the genuine Tamiya Hop-ups []. Shodog - see if you can get some royalty checks from Mr Tamiya for the paint scheme []. -
Thanks fellas, no worries Shodog - I ain't buying that ! Was more of a query for those Marui buffs - also in case anyone was looking for one [].
-
I am no fan of the Willy BUT, that is a wild looking ride you posted there Shodog [Y][Y].

Well, it's no TWINSET creation but it is pretty sweet ! I think Tamiya USA lists the TLT as available until they are all sold out -as far as everyone seems to think, they are out of production. But Tamiya always seems to keep us on our toes second guessing ourselves so who knows [:^)]. Or on an even cooler note, how about these sweet G-Made axles !: http://www.gmade.net/G-made_product_axle.htm []

Okay - anyone know a good spot for off-roading near Toronto. I'm just down the road near Kitchener, Ontario. I will travel. I just built a sweet Thundertech Rage chassis and I think it's time us Canadians showed everyone across the pond that we can have fun over here too []! I'm looking for something between 11 June to the 21 June 2006. It's time we gave some competition........Anyone, anyone, anyone ?!

So what are the most inexpensive ac chargers you fellas can recommend for these as I am sitting on the edge of getting a pack or two of the new Team Orion 4800 Li Po's. If I do get two packs I will only be able to afford a cheap AC charger, so which is recommended ? ( I just completed a Thundertech rage chassis and I want to juice it up as much as possible )

POLL: Are your cars 'girls' or 'boys'?

I refer to each one individually as my "baby" []. -
terry.sc wrote the following post at 11 May 2006 7:32 AM: The most common buyer of the Hi-Lift will not buy it because of its looks but as a useful set of parts. There has been lots of demand for Tamiya to rerelease the Bruiser.................. I am buying it for it's looks, in fact probably 2 or 3 of 'em. Gonna build one stock with all the Tamiya Hop-ups when they come out ! One of the few who won't part it out..................................

NIB Juggernaut - v1 or v2
backtomyroots replied to rroodd's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
The Juggernaut 1 & 2 have long both been discontinued. Your best bet is a "wanted" add here or ebay but be prepared to pay $500 bucks or more. Some nice used ones go for less on ebay, but they are nice trucks. At least I like mine anyway: -
That seems a bit high - just think - you could probably get 5 of the new F350 Hi-Lift trucks for that [].

Good topic. I have listed several complete r/c kits lately and none of them sold for what I truly wanted. I had to re-list them after lowering the reserve price and eventually dropped that too. The way I look at it is you will only get what someone is willing to pay. Of course I also listed one item several months ago that didn't sell at my buy it now price but I did sell it privately for more than what it was listed for []. So, basically, you win some - you lose some. As far as postage I use the Canada Post site to estimate and if it's a little bit more than quoted I pay the difference. If it is drastically more to post than quoted I inform the buyer and give the option to terminate the transaction (only happened once though). I feel your pain for combined postage, one seller has a ton of txt-1 parts I want but he wants $14 per item to ship [:^)]. I don't think so - I guess I'll go without because that is ridiculous ! I know for a fact most of the items I want would be covered by the initial postage fee in one envelope.........but I digress.
-
Man, I can't wait to get a couple of these ! Funny, that looks like the prototype in there - judging by the tires joined in halves [:^)]. Great pics - thanks for sharing them. Any pics/info on the other stuff at the show ? I've always wanted to get to a RCX show - but it's a long drive from Ontario, Canada !
