  1. Racing clod eh ? Many recommendations to make then. The tried and true Thundertech Chassis' available are great. I have a Dragoon chassis (sorry cant get a pic posted I've tried) it is a beautiful piece of craftmanship - check my showroom ! Twinset has (or had) the Spider for crawling but looked like it could race. The feather Lite looks good as well. Basically comes down to preference. Check here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...725&id=7434 Beadlocks are great rims - functional and look sweet as well. The beadlocks on my Dragoon were purchased from RC4WD on Ebay. If you keep your eyes open sometimes he has them on auction (when he is clearing out stock I think) and you can get a good deal if the bids don't get out of hand.
  2. Good eyes. Three auctions, same photos. Sad world.
  3. Well, very rarely - I can't seem to find anyone in the area to run with and I like 'em too much to run 'em. Need to find a basher !
  4. I'm not a frog guy, but very informative post !
  5. Your battery is dead. Recycle / toss it. Do not continue to use it. Sorry for your loss [].
  6. I've been wondering the same thing. I'm sure I have seen some "kits" somewhere but don't recall where. Anyone ? Anyone ?
  7. I would say that although initially more expensive, the E-Maxx or E-Zilla is still the best option. By the time you get the Wild Dagger or Twin Detonator up to specs it would probably be cheaper to go with one of the others. Although, they aren't Tamiya's []. I used to own an E-Maxx a few years ago and it was well worth the money and a blast to drive, in fact I miss it.
  8. I had the original Ultima about 16 years ago (yep I'm old). If I recall correctly it wasn't too heavy, was pretty quick with the stock motor. I seem to recall the shock collars broke a lot though. Eventually I fitted it with an aftermarket graphite chassis but I didn't race so I didn't notice any difference. I'm sure you'll enjoy it !
  9. Are you telling me you didn't have it shipped with a tracking number ? You are brave, good luck getting a refund, sounds pretty fishy. But - you never know it might turn up []. Although it did take nearly 6 weeks for my last NIB to arrive from the US and I am on the same continent.
  10. There are only three reasons I didn't offer to buy this awesome truck: 1. I just bought a new home, 2. The shipping to Canada 3. I just bought a Blizzard But who knows - you might see a last minute bid yet..............great truck !
  11. Thanks for the post fellas ! I've just updated my showroom, my descriptions are a lot easier on the eyes now []. Check it out: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom.asp?id=7434 While we are on the topic of how to, how do I get that cool "Check my showroom TC Box" (Like the boss Netsmith has) in my signature ? Anyone, Anyone ?
  12. Well, how about this for your cash bangstick: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=13012006012509 That's right, a NIB DD.
  13. Nice, real nice. I wish those scammers would get a life and become productive members of society. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. I can't speak for the Mammoth but I do have a Jugg 2. It is a great looking machine - very realistic. It is out of production and finding a nib one is usually over 500 US. Performance out of the box ? Very slow, poor suspension (stiff & bouncy). Would cost some big bucks to have it perform. Mine is a shelf queen. I would recommend a TXT-1 just drop some mod motors in it and it will be great out of the box ! Check my showroom for ideas: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom.asp?id=7434 Hope this helps.
  15. I would love to see a TANK forum as I have been contemplating taking on the challenge of a Leopard.
  16. I think you missed my post fellas............ http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/80849.aspx
  17. What vehicle is this for ? Here are some specifically for cars/trucks and not helis or planes. stick with these: 1/10 th scale: LRP Sphere - Reedy Neo One Novak Super Sport Plus & SS5800 Mini / micro: Mamba series. I can only vouch for the Novak HV Maxx though...............
  18. Well deserved win. That is a fantastic work of craftmanship and Tamiya would only benefit to take some notes ! You even got my vote, maybe it was the one that counted [].
  19. Hey Fellas FYI about Ultimate Hobbies. They will not ship to Canada or outside the US. They would not accept my Mastercard (because I'm International) or paypal and bluntly stated NO when I attempted to make different arrangements for payment. [].
  20. I have a novak HV-Maxx brushless in my txt-1 and I am absolutely satisfied with the performance. I also just purchased a novak xrs esc - it didn't work so I sent it to novak. I got a new one about a week and a half later - very quick ! Plus brushless is pretty easy - no motor sprays, brushes, springs , blah blah blah and longer runtimes !
  21. New forums look great , but am I the only one who can no longer get the Tamiya Club Homepage ?
  22. Mine is running the stock 540 and the tires are glued to the rims. I find it pretty quick for a fun litle bashing truck this way.
  23. jakethesnake, I used JB Weld on the diffs in the axels and it works fine for me. The center diff is still open for now. Truck is very quick for its size but I have to get a widening kit 'cause she likes to spend time on her roof with the 4 wheel steering [].
  24. Gift certificate for LHS. And I ordered a Kyosho Blizzard as a result ! Can't wait for it to arrive []
