I was out in some LHS's yesterday and spotted one TXT-1 priced at $649 Canadian [
]. I then spotted another at $549 at a Canadian Online shop. So you definitely have to shop around ! Especially when those prices don't even include the 15% sales tax ! I have a sneaking suspicion that the txt-1 is soon to be discontinued so get one while you can. -
Hey fellas, thanks for the replies [
]. I have some Mayhems in my G-Made Clod but they are too slow ! Reason I started thread is I am building a Thundertech Rage Clod over the next few weeks and I want some speed, I think I'll go with a couple of Venom 17 turns. I just picked up my first non-novak esc for it a LRP Quantum Pro Reverse (7 turn limit) [
]. Anyway - keep the recommendations coming, because I like a lot of choices ! Plus we can build a list of motors for new clod owners that won't require the endbell to be turned (too much like work). -
Hey everyone,
I was in a LHS today and spotted a Marui Galaxy blue NIB Roll Cage set for sale ! It had "customer special order" written on the price tag so I guess he never came to get it. Just curious if this was a rare sighting or if they are actually common [:S] as I'm not much of a Marui guy ? If you are wondering I think it was priced at $40 CDN.

Hey all,
Was in a LHS and spotted a few badly faded boxes which contained a NIB Kyosho Snake Bite Nitro Monster Truck and a Kyosho Baja Beetle Nitro MT. I seem to recall these from a very long time ago. Is the snakebite modelled after a real monster truck ? That seemed to be the idea on the box ? Any thoughts on these two ? They both had the price slashed to 359 bucks but still seemed kinda pricey !

WOW [H]. Now I have to sell my new built Blizzard EV to upgrade to this sweet ride ! Now accepting offers.................................

Hey all,
Well, would it be possible for someone to post a list of motors with 0 degree timing for us Clod owners that would like a jump up in performance (speed) without getting the special motors with reverse timing and no patience to turn endbells around ? Of course still swap the +/- wires on one of them right ?

Hey, I had a nib double dare take close to 7 weeks to arrive in canada from the usa and it's the same continent ! It was surface mail, but if you paid for expedited shipping you shouldn't have it too late. I would advise the seller that you will be making a claim with paypal/ebay if it doesn't arrive by a certain date. Of course this may be easier than trying to make a "lost" claim with the post office.

Good job fellas ! I like the Lunchbox submission - the entry asks for a bruiser re-release at the end of the description. Sneaky !

Interesting, my only input is that for visitors coming to the site for the first time - they may be unlikely to see actual r/c models in the showroom updates section with all th extra little "goodies" being added. I think if they are just passing by they may not use the "more" button to see all the latest additions which could be the "one" that gets 'em to stick around a little bit longer. Me however, I check the site so often I seem to have the showroom additions memorized [

Hey Twisty - been a long wait ! I'm glad you got a refund [
]. You are a risk taker that's for sure. I'm sure another legit one will pop up soon ! -
If your Twin Detonator is now set up for 2 battery packs go for the Super Duty. It can also be wired for one battery pack with a small mod. HEre are the details of the speed control, you can't go wrong. It is made for dual battery dual brushed motor set-ups:

It's a mean ESC [H].

Hey fellas,
thanks a bunch. over the next few days I'll take my dragoon apart as my reverse motor is in the front and swap it to the rear. hopefully that will sort things out. Oh - Andy, it's for bashing - that crawling is too slow for me [
] - if I decide to toss it I'll send you a bill for the postage. I'd do it tonight but I gotta pack up one of my nib double dares. he's leaving my collection [:'(]. -
Okay - here goes, does my reverse rotation motor go in the front or the rear of the truck ?! In the last few days I have read that it goes in either spot, it's killin me here [:^)]. I can't seem to get my Super Rooster and mayhem's wired/set up right. And they should be wired in parrallel for speed/power right ? Soon, my G-Made is going to be thrown in the trash if I don't get it sorted. Your assistance would be appreciated.

I don't leave feedback until I receive the item when I have made a purchase. Sometimes if the item is taking a while to arrive I will email the seller and leet them know I have not forgotten and I am just waiting for the item. I have always had my feedback returned using this method although depending on the shipping it has taken as long as 4 weeks to exchange feedback [

Fundamental difference is the suspension set-up. Crawlers have soft supple suspension that has articulation you can't believe. Crawlers have locked differentials to allow traction on all four tires. Some also gear reduction units, low tooth pinion gears and motors with great torque. This means tons of pullin power little speed. Crawler chassis' are specific to crawling, four link suspension and 4 wheel steering.
Racers are built somewhat different. Although the chassis style is similar in some circumstances it is how the set-ups are. Suspension is the key difference along with electronics used. Here are some examples of different types:

Wow, that is a ridiculous cost ! Now I can forgive you for not listing one [
]. -
Everyday ! Basically just like to keep up on the forums and keep my eyes on the latest showroom updates - daily. You could say I have a serious TC Addiction and need some help !
It's also my Homepage on the internet so as soon as I get online there it is [

Cul Tech, that is pretty wild, calls for celebration [pi]. So, who's gonna have one of these awesome trucks first ?
-
For sale on Ebay by the seller "cho78" get 'em while you can because I think I'll be stocking up soon [
]. -
Andy,
How about a new built going up for auction for those of us that are not "do-it-yourself" types [
] -
Wow, can of worms here. If you want to have some fun out of the box TXT-1. To make the clod any fun the cost adds up too quickly, the TXT-1 is easily made quicker with just mod motors but the clod needs to be completely rebuilt. You can see my showroom for an example of each.

My TXT-1 is fitted with dual Hitec 645's and have had no problems (although it is a shelf queen [
]). -
Yep, I agree, Novak has great customer service. I recently had a dysfunctional esc that they promptly replaced and it was done at the speed of light ! [
] -
Now that is something [
]! Just decided I will be getting one , now I might have to put my next project on hold ! Who will be the first to have one ?

Kyosho Snakebite MT, Baja Beetle Nitro Models.

Yep - Snakebite is hideous ! You are right about the QRC Tranny ! The two kits have been in that Hobby Shop a LONG time because the boxes are nearly completely faded and they aren't in the window anymore ! I did some searching online figure they hit the market around 1997 maybe a bit earlier. For those not familiar here:
Kyosho Snake Bite Truck (Yuck):

Kyosho Baja Beetle (a little better):

So, are these good finds or just over-priced Kyosho has beens ?
