I can't speak for the Mammoth but I do have a Jugg 2. It is a great looking machine - very realistic. It is out of production and finding a nib one is usually over 500 US. Performance out of the box ? Very slow, poor suspension (stiff & bouncy). Would cost some big bucks to have it perform. Mine is a shelf queen. I would recommend a TXT-1 just drop some mod motors in it and it will be great out of the box ! Check my showroom for ideas:

Hope this helps.

I would love to see a TANK forum as I have been contemplating taking on the challenge of a Leopard.

What vehicle is this for ? Here are some specifically for cars/trucks and not helis or planes. stick with these:
1/10 th scale:
LRP Sphere - Reedy Neo One
Novak Super Sport Plus & SS5800
Mini / micro:
Mamba series.
I can only vouch for the Novak HV Maxx though...............

Well deserved win. That is a fantastic work of craftmanship and Tamiya would only benefit to take some notes ! You even got my vote, maybe it was the one that counted [

Hey Fellas FYI about Ultimate Hobbies. They will not ship to Canada or outside the US. They would not accept my Mastercard (because I'm International) or paypal and bluntly stated NO when I attempted to make different arrangements for payment. [

I have a novak HV-Maxx brushless in my txt-1 and I am absolutely satisfied with the performance. I also just purchased a novak xrs esc - it didn't work so I sent it to novak. I got a new one about a week and a half later - very quick ! Plus brushless is pretty easy - no motor sprays, brushes, springs , blah blah blah and longer runtimes !

New forums look great , but am I the only one who can no longer get the Tamiya Club Homepage ?

Mine is running the stock 540 and the tires are glued to the rims. I find it pretty quick for a fun litle bashing truck this way.

jakethesnake, I used JB Weld on the diffs in the axels and it works fine for me. The center diff is still open for now. Truck is very quick for its size but I have to get a widening kit 'cause she likes to spend time on her roof with the 4 wheel steering [

Gift certificate for LHS. And I ordered a Kyosho Blizzard as a result ! Can't wait for it to arrive [

hey speeedfreak, I for one am very pleased with the re-releases as I grew up with those vehicles. The problem was back then I couldn't afford them, now that I'm an adult with my own payroll it is great that I can relive those memories now that I can afford them. The vehicles of yester-year were not all meant for competition, they were a pleasure to build and great fun. I would venture to say most people on this site don't race at the competition level but enjoy these rides as a hobby. If I want to race then I'll buy a race specific chassis. If I want to feel like a kid again, I'll buy that re-release [

Merry Christmas to all on TC ! I hope everyone finds at least one NIB under that tree on Christmas day, and I look forward to seeing some new showroom additions on the 26th of Dec. Wishing everyone a great Christmas [

thanks for the tip - but none of those available on ebay either, funny - never there when you need 'em but always there when you don't expect it [

Help! [xx(]. I need a Kyosho Double Dare gear set immediately - Part #BB-6 or Stock #KYOC4147. None on ebay right now. If you have an old beat up truck I may consider that as well. I just need the gears though. Your assistance is appreciated,

Well, I am impressed, some glorified recognition for the TC Members and the creator on Page 206 of the Feb '06 issue of RCCA. Bottom right corner of the page by Kevin Hetmanski. Oh, and also on page 27, Hetmanski answers a letter and reminds readers it was NOT a Bruiser he torched with the E-Maxx but a custom truck. See page 27, it is kind of funny what he says "You'd think I'd torched the Mona Lisa, the way some guys were crying". Wonder if he learned anything [

Congratulations ! Do you need all the TC members to send the Mrs a postcard requesting a Tamiya Kit for you for Christmas [

Would have to be:
Wild One
Mountaineer
Blackfoot
Boomerang

twisty, you get the truck yet ?

Try this link to Imex Tires. They are available in "soft" compounds and I believe the 2.2's fit the rims on the Det.

Welcome to the TXT-1 club [^]! It is one mean machine and I love mine. In fact I want to buy another one as well. Anyhow, how about posting a picture of it ? Here's a look at mine :

Hello all. Here is my new built Max Climber. Full bearings, locked axels, aluminum bumpers/cantilevers/servo mounts (compliments of InetRC), Futaba radio and 4 wheel steering. Right now it has the stock 540 and a Novak XRS (well as soon as Novak mails it back from repair). I really like these little things ! I wish Tamiya would get rid of those stupid window stickers and include masks, cause it was a real pain to tape these windows. How does she look ?

Nice, real nice. I wish those scammers would get a life and become productive members of society. Thanks for the heads up.
