I threw out the package, but they are maybe 3cm diameter. Basically go to the hobby shop to get the wire and browse their selection of landing gear wheels ...you'll want the foam type like the ones I used, just find ones that fit the diamater of the wire, the size of the tire isn't that important so long as you don't get something too big! lol The holes in the part I'm making are pretty small, and I drill them out to the size of the wire which leavis a nice, snug fit for the wire. This is important because you don't want them falling out, but you also don't want to have to glue the wire in place, in case you want/need to change something about the wheelie bar. -Dale

Ok man, the FDM is mine over the weekend so I'm going to make myself a new one, and one for you. Here are some pics of my first prototype which works awesome! Note that I didn't use music wire/spring steel because I didn't have any. This is a push-rod control bar for an airplane (soft metal) which is why it's all bent. If you go to your LHS and get foam wheels and a pack of wheel stoppers (I don't know what they're called, the little metal spacers with a set screw in them to keep the wheels from moving laterally on the rod) you can bend the shape you want and drill the holes out to the size of your wire. ...you shouldn't even need to glue the wire in if you do it right! Here is a shot of my well used and bent up part. Note that this one was made in two pieces because someone paused the FDM machine and removed the part before it was done. The new ones will be one solid piece. My KB ...love the broken rear shock tower eh? [] Attach it by fitting the bottom of the part into the nook made between the diff case and the rear skid-plate. Then line up the groove on the inside with the rib that runs along the back edge of the diff case. Once it is centered on that lip, you just need to start pressing it over the bumps where the screws hold the diff case together. When it snaps on it will *SNAP* on! A look from below. Even with the **** wire and the wheels bent at odd angles, with the foam wheels it still settled into a nice wheelie and tracked straight ahead. I'll let you knnow when it goes in the mail. -Z

I think a cantilevered push-pull system would work fine! It would be very robust & durable; your biggest concern would be keeping the tension on the cables nice & tight so ther ewasn't excessive slop in the steering.

I'm out of the office today, but back tomorrow (I keep all my toys there). I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. I already have the go-shead to make a couple (you can fit two on the platter so I'm making a spare). The thing is, the FDM machine uses ABS plastic, so the thing is indestructible when it's done. I think you'll be pleased! I'll post up some pics Friday!

I'm in the uS, but they don't weigh anything so I could ship it overseas. Let me get with our engineering head to see when I can get some time on the FDM, I need to make an extra one anyway ...is black ok? If shipping is preety cheap, I'll just send it out no charge. ...if it's over $10 I might ask you for a PayPal or something, but I doubt it will be that much. I'll get some pics as soon as I can.

I made one on our FDM machine at work, though I need to get some piano-wire to finish the outriggers. The first outrigger I made with an aircraft pushrod and it was to bendy, just got all bent up. I'm sure with spring steel it would be perfect. I use foam aircraft landing gear wheels on the wire and it's perfect ...the thing wheelies and then rides it out on the wheels with no problems. The beauty is, with the wire and the foam wheels it has built in suspension so it doesn't "bounce" the truck back down. If you want pics I'll try to take some later, the thing works great; it just snaps on over the diff-case and doesn't go anywhere! I might be able to make you one (the bracket, you'll have to bend your own wire and provide your won wheels. Let me know and I'll see if ICan get some time on the FDM. ...what color do you like? Red, blue, white, or black? lol

I can ship overseas if a clubber is interested. I put that on for a couple reasons. One is the keep the "Hi, am the son of the honoroable Ravi Salamander, prince of Nigeria blah, blah, blah..." bids away, and the other is that dealing with duties and tax etc is a PITA so I try to avoid it ...in all honesty though, Canada is worse than shipping to Europe. lol But if someone takes the time to write me and ask before bidding, I will make the effort. Thanks for the compliment, it's handy having a photo studio sometimes! []

Well, I live westside and work right next to those VW/Audi guys so any time is fine with me. I'll probably be bringing a co-worker with who will *probably* have an E-Maxx by then. Are we talking about Zuma Beach? or where exactly? ...Leo Carillo???

Even if you're talking British Pounds, 80 is a really good price for the Novak SS5800 setup. I have two of these combos and they are excellent! Perfect for me, just bashing around and having a good time. I don't want to have to rebuild brushed motors every couple weeks. I can't speak to the Mtroniks stuff, but Radio Control Zone has a brushless specific forum that might be of some help. http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/forumdisplay.php?f=335. Remeber that when you go brushless you will most likely want to gear your car a little lower so the motor can rev, otherwise it will overheat. ...these suckers love to spin though!

Another touring car I'm putting this up on ebay soon, again, I thought I'd throw it up here and see if anyone was interested first. http://www.zenmoto.net/ebay/tb02/tb02.html Rolling chassis with body in very good shape (the chassis, not the body so much), I'm open to offers, please look at what has gone into this car before making offers. -Z

I like it! Don't see a lot in yellow, but it's very "California Sunshine" if you ask me! [] What did you use to strip the paint, I have to strip a Baja Beetle body soon.

Is anyone planning on going to Tamiyacon this month? http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/feature.php?article-id=61 I'm planning on heading down there with some friends, would be nice to meet some of you if you were going. Post if you are planning on attending, perhaps we can meet for lunch or something.

I think I can make it. I'll probably just bring my King Blackfoot, it's never been to the beach, but housl be good for running around in the sand!

Do you still have the TTR?

Thanks guys. ...it really looks pretty ragged close-up, in person. ...but yes, I used decals strategically! [] This was the first body I've tried painting in over a decade that wasn't a solid color, so I'm a bit rusty. I think I might invest in an airbrush in the near future too. Thanks again, cheers!

I Finished painting my Losi XXX-4 G+. The paint turned out horrible (my masking bled in a lot of places) but from a distance it looks pretty good. I think the design is sound, now I just need to get someone to paint my second body up right, I can dress it up with Martini decals! [] -Z

I am dying to get either a nice crawler, or a TXT-1/Juggy 2 to play with. Since nobody is interested in my touring cars, I thought I'd try guitar equipment. I have pretty much everything Line 6 makes (all in new condition), so if you are into guitar and have a monster truck lets talk!

Hey, let me know the details of this ...I'll try to show up with one of my cars (whichever I can fit into my backpack). I'd like to bring my King Blackfoot, but might end up with my Losi if the KB won't fit. ...one of the drawbacks of riding motorcycles. []

Well, I've decided that I just don't have any place to run my touring cars. [] I have a Tamiya TB-02 rolling chassis with the following hop-ups installed: carbon front damper stay 50998 carbon rear damper stay 50999 aluminum racing steering set 53678 aluminum suspension mounts (Evo III, TRF) 53713, 53714, 53715 & 53716 fluorine coated suspension balls 53709 (to work with the aluminum suspension mounts) front aluminum body posts 53616 aluminum clamp-style hubs 53570 aluminum 1 degree rear upright 53687 reinforced diff joint (front & rear) 53627 (x2) aluminum motor mount 53680 aluminum upper-arm mount 53627 (I only have this in the front, forgot to order 2 as the front and rear are the same) Spare tub chassis 9335398 $250 worth of hop-ups counting the spare tub. There is a well-abused Mercedes CLK body that goes with it as well as the manual and original box. There are some scratches on the bottom of the chassis from running it in the parking lot, but ...there is a brand new tub for it (I was going to do some cutting experimenting with a rally setup that I decided not to do) There are no electronics and just a never-run stock silver can motor. IT also has the stock oil-filled dampers, NOT the TRF Fluorine coated ones. This is the car prior to the hop-ups (and some damage to the body) The wheels in this pic are not the ones that come with the car. Those will be the standard spoked wheels visible on the TA04 in the background) with stock slicks on them (only run on carpet a couple times) The second car is my beloved Tamiya TA04R (the yellow one in the background). This is a rolling chassis only as well (that body has expired, but I will throw it in ...it's pretty beat despite the pics). It has the carbon damper stays, front aluminum body posts, aluminum motor-mount/heat sink, TRF Fluorine coated dampers (blue) as well as Integy aluminum rear swing arms (purple). I bought this car used off ebay and it was my first RC car in over a decade. It came with a green can motor with the label mostly worn off (so I have no idea what it is), but it just screamed! That motor seized up shortly after I got the car so I pulled the electronics to put in my xxx-4. I will throw the motor in too, in case the new owner wants to rebuild it (I know nothing about rebuilding motors, but know I should have checked the brushes on that one before running it. The car itself is very smooth and quiet and just silly fast! An absolute joy to drive. I recently bought a new pinion and a pack of spur gears for the TA04; they are unopened and will go with the car. I also picked up a TA04-Pro manual as the car came with nothing when I got it, and that will go with it too. Alas I have no place to run the touring cars near me. The damage to the bodies reflects my recent re-learning curve and the lack of width in the hallways I run them in. I ran the TA04 in my office (long carpeted hallways) but clipped a door-frame with a rear wheel and broke the right rear swing arm where the hinge-pin goes through (hence the Integy aluminum ones) It also comes with spare hinge-pins, as does the TB-02. I ran both cars in our parking lot a few times so I could stretch their legs a bit, but there are too many small rocks and debris out there so I stopped. I haven't looked but there are probably some scratches on the bottom of the TA04's tub as well. The TB-02 actually hit a 3-ring binder that was on the floor (they make wonderful, unsuspecting ramps) and the car got about 4 inches of air ...enough to break the plastic suspension mounts and the diff-cup (as the dog-bone tried to fly free). Replacing those two things is what triggered my overzealous purchase of hop-up parts, but it is better than new now. [] I can provide detailed pics of both cars if anyone is interested. I simply don't have the space to run these cars though I hate to watch them go ...especially the TA04! I'm open to offers, and am especially looking for a crawler or TXT-1 etc.; something I can run outside and have some off-road fun with!

SWEET! Congrats on getting it done! [] ...so when are you going to turn it into a crawler? []

Hey Josh. I would need two sets of the Tamtaech as they only have 1 Martini logo each. I can't find a way to email you directly though, your profile says "No Email". You can ping me at rc@zenmoto.net though. Thanks.

I'm interested in the Martini Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI set. You can email me off list for price. rc@zenmoto.net Thanks!
