  1. I'm 31, 8th January 1974. Still in shock that I'm in my thirties!! [] Methinks I need to get a tidy car tho before I can contribute properly!
  2. Its not R/C related, me and a few mates play an online game called Americas Army and we have just started setting up a website. We're a bunch of techies anyway but I just loved your map tool. http://www.cym-clan.co.uk/
  3. Blimey, how did you make that? I've played with flash a bit but nothing to that standard, any chance of using it? We will obviously give you full credit on our website! []
  4. Just thought I would ask about the map function on your webpage. Where did you get it from, we would love to use it on our webpage! []
  5. Cheers for the replies lads! [^] Looks like I'm gonna have to make do with what I've got for the moment, the missus isn't gonna be too happy if I start coining out for more stuff just yet. [V] Is it ok if I call on your advice again in the near future? []
  6. Ok, so it seems I bought a toy as opposed to a decent r/c car, but I got it cheap off ebay so I'm not that dissapointed. [:I] So my question is, if I wanted to build a car from scratch by buying parts seperatly (to spread the cost, I got 3 kids and a mortgage ya know []) what would I need to get? I'm talking everything concerned with gettin a half tidy car up and running, I assume I can use my existing radio set that I have with the other car at least until I can get round to getting another one. I have a background with basic electronics, so soldering and PCB work I'm fine with. Thanks for your help lads!
  7. Thanks Sosidge, will have to do a bit of trawling to find these parts. Maybe I shoulda got a more substantial kit. [:I] Looks like a got a bit of work ahead of me! []
  8. Hi guys, if you hadn't already guessed I'm a complete R/C noob! [:I] I had this car from a few years back and was hoping to fix it up a bit for my son. Tamiya QD Ferrari F40 (1991) Model number: 46015 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=427 The power comes from a battery compartment(takes 8 AA batts), I would like to change this to a more common battery pack, with a connector I could solder to the PCB. I am also not convinced the motor is in good working order so I would like to change this too or even upgrade it, although I will probably have to change the whole rear axle as it is in one piece. Does anybody know where I can get these parts or compatible parts, I am UK based but with the Internet nowadays you can usually get kit shipped from just about anywhere. I've had real trouble getting any info on this car or even the newer car I have which is: Tamiya QD Subaru Impreza (2001) Model Number: 46311 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=468 If there are any upgrade options for this, I would also like info. [] Cheers in advance, if I can get the info anywhere, I'm sure it is here. []
