    TT-01 Motor Questions...

    Ive got ball bearings, Carbon upper deck, Alloy prop, Steel U joints, adjustable steering kit, Alloy Motor mount, and heat sink, and Flouride dampers.

    Thats about it. Ive been running stock gears but want a higher top speed with a 17T.

    Will 55S and 24P give me a higher top speed?

    Your right about having a stock of gears. Im in my 3rd set and only drive the car in good weather. Ive had the car for 2 years.

    Let me know about how you liked the 55 and 24 set up.

    Ok..

    Ive got a couple of motors and would like to ask some questions...

    Here is what I have .. 2 Stock 540 Mubachi's, 21T, 20T, 15T, &11T.

    I would like something that gives me the best speed.With stock gearing Ive used the 15T and It seems quick on takeoff and then its top speed is prob like 14mph. The stockers are faster than it? Then the 21T and 20T actualy have really good speed prob 19-20mph. The 11T is Awesome 30mph but it requires way to much maitinence.

    I would like to get a 17T or 19T or something that doesnt need so much matinence. I know what gears Im gonna get 55S & 25P and That should get me a good speed.

    But I guess what Im wondering is what is the best all around motor? Ive looked at the brushless but its way to much Money for my Pocket book.

    Their is someone that is running a TT-01 , 17T with "speed gearing" and can keep up with nitro cars?  I would like to do that!

    The Motor is a 15 Turn Trinity. I need help with the gearing though?

    Whats the best gear combo?

    I already have an alloy prop shaft because the plastic one was a piece of poop molded into a shaft! It bent really bad!  I also already got the Bearings also...

    Im gonna get the motor mount asap & also some decent shocks, and An upper Carbon brace.

    Other than that, I was thinking about getting some steel U joints for the front and rear. the stock ones are really crappy.

    What about some metal prop shaft joints? Will that add streingth?

    When I was looking around for hop up parts for my Bimmer I ran into a problem..

    I want a faster speed from it so.. I want to know what the best combo of gears is that everybody calls the best?

    The stock gears are a  61T Spur Gear  and 19T pinion. I know that you cant use any other pinion than 22T?

    So... What pinion do I use with the 55/58T Spur gear set? And whats gonna give me the best Performance?

    Ive got a 13 turn motor right now and a 3500mah battery just so you guys know.

    Frustrated TT-01 Owner! Need help

    I bought a Brand new Bmw TT-01 and ran it for about 1 month, then came My ingenious idea of Taking the shaft out and making a 2wd Bmw!

    It all went well untill the gears started to grind and then strip. Skip forward 2 months and I finaly get my new gear, I messed up the 19t pinion so I bought another one at the local HS(Not a Tamiya gear). Well I hook it all up with my new 15T Motor, I was driving it for around 5 min and Bang the gears start to grind again! I just spent $75.00 on new gears, an alum Prop shaft, a New set of rims and tires, a carbon upper frame, and a Alum Motor, mount, and some 15t and 14t pinion gears ( THe tamiya guy said that they would fit with the 61t Spur gear) Yea right! . I am so ****ed I am about to sell the **** thing and buy another car.

    Could the 19t pinion have Caused the striping?

    Also I dont know what gears I should buy now. I would like to actualy drive my car for a while! If you guys can help me out, that would be great! If you have some gears I can buy then Let me know! Or if you know where I can buy some Because I am not buying Anything more from the guys in Burien Toyota![V]

    I think I got my bmw TT-01 up to atleast 25+ mph with stock gearing and a 15t motor. I just ordered a set of Speed gears and a smaller pinion gear so... I will see what a difference if made.

    Just one word of advice... Dont turn it into a 2wd, IT strips your gears and within a week!

    I am using a Speed gems 2 15t motor. With the stock Esc that came -with my Bmw TT-01. I have never had a heat problem or cut out problem. I drive it everywhere! And for about 1 Month now.... I will just use it until I brake it![;)]

    I have a couple of questions about my TT-01, I removed the Prop shaft and Within 2 weeks stripped my gears.. Is that the reason it stripped?

    Now for the good stuff...>>

    I am going to be buying some parts for my car to make it a racer.

    1.I have a 15 turn motor but what gearing should i get?

    2.Should I get some special parts since I am using a 15t motor?

    3.Putting back the old shaft slowed my car down alot!!

    4.Last question... whats the highest speed I can ge with a 15t?

    Things I will order >>>

    Carbon upper frame

    Alum Prop shaft

    Alum Motor mount

    Radial tires

    Bearing set

    Spur gear set

    Anything else I should add since I will be racing this at the local track?
