    my new toy

its the xtm electric truck.its really fun ..well not out off the box though. dampers need different oil and damperholes (dunno the right word)..the plate with the holes inside the damper i mean. those need to be sanded. those are very rough when stock. the holes were drilled to 1mm. silicon oil (50) and stiffer springs. stock ones are way too soft. next was was damper boots . those were made for 1:8 cars but can be cut to fit. installed LRP big block with steel pinion 18 with 48dp. the original one is more a joke (very rough). bullet reverse esc. most import thing is the kick up section that needed some reinforcement. now it seems to be a great basher. the car itself is really cheap here in germany 99 euros. i can only highly recommend it. best value !! comes fully ball raced. slipper clutch..etc. here are some pics: http://www.bilder-space.de/show.php?file=ytkfsgd2t0vP6ts.JPG http://www.bilder-space.de/show.php?file=CJzbfEcRppPWbt3.JPG http://www.bilder-space.de/show.php?file=Vl71j0l2T1proff.JPG http://www.bilder-space.de/show.php?file=JJmnqlJjuxgXnoy.JPG thanks for looking. regards ferdinand maybe im going to put a beetle shell on it . that would make it perfect[]
  4. a ct scan of metal parts.. ? i doubt u can put them into cad directly. metal parts cause alot of artefacts as the density is alot higher than bones or any tissue. hounsfield approx. 3000 and above depending on the metal. to check if the correct parts are within the box a regular x-ray would be good enough. and no! do never try to make an mrt ; ) the box would szick to the magnet forever ; ) i think 5000 usd is total nuts.. but again beeing nuts is great.. wonder where this came from ; ) cheers ferdinand
  5. cheers guys .. here is mine. almost got the chassis finished ...but the body will take long time to get done.
  6. i think it was huffmiester if i remember correctly.what happend to that that promise of yours to shoot some footage of your brushless super champ ?? i know my memory sometimes works [] regards ferdinand
  7. i really had a hard time to get the drivers arms in the right position..yet it seems if you put them in them to match the suit correctly the steering wheel gets a little bent to the left ??? is it correct that the left arm is more lesss outside the body..aka crusing position ? how do you fix the driver in the car .. velcro tape ? any help would be great. thx ferdinand
  8. most people prefer a dry build for their shelfqueen. it doesnt make sence to grease it if your not going to run it. shocks might leak...adhesive for dust ; ) might spoil your furniture as well. if you dont use the correct lubricant it might spoil the plastic parts over years. as a hint use a stand to prevent the tires from flattining and use glycerine to prevent dry rott. cheers ferdinand
  9. Hi , im looking for a full wheels and tires set for the scorcher. they should be unused. its a shame but tamiya didnt do the grasshopper re-release here in germany. i dont understand it ..[:@] anyway, if have those items let me know.. bank transfer would be the best way of payment for me. i dont have paypal, and i dont really trust in it. yes , im oldschool. regards ferdinand
  10. hi guys havnt been here for long time.. whats the value of a pair of those wheels ? just wondering.. regards ferdinand
  11. cool stuff dee. now this is neat.. but i guess my girlfriend will not accept decaling and clear top coat. cheers ferdinand
  12. for the plastics you might try novus polish.. is the best stuff. metal shouldnt be sandblasted but with glaspearls - doesnt leave such a rough surface and looks tons better. sport tuned motor should fit without modification of the gearbox. as lubricant i use teflon based grease. cheers ferdinand
  13. if the glue was acetone based there will be no chance of dissolving it in hot water. good luck. i have the same problem with a hilux body.. might simple green give a chance. its good enough to remove paint.. might work will see. cheers ferdinand
  14. Here is a pic of my willy.. short wheel base. right now i have another one equipped with a lemans motor .. the blue one. its stacked away right now, but i think it was 280. i remember the car went like stink going straight but impossibe to handle when doing corners [:|] anyway this one is basic setup. cheers ferdinand
  15. considering the wear on those front tires you might check the axles and dogbones.. was it ballraced ? imade the mistake of bying a car that looked good from the outside but the drivetrain was total junk. replacing all those parts is VERY expensive.. cheers ferdinand
