  1. I want something like this ended ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...5810&rd=1,1
  2. I'm wanting a carbon fiber chassied touring car with lots of anodized aluminum for mostly display purposes so it needs to be new or near mint. Interested in any TRF, TB or Yokomo YR4 that may fit the above sentence. Body and wheels/tires not important. I'm open to: equal value, touring car + ? or even 959 +? Thanks [H]
  3. I'm still relatively new to Portland and have yet to find any RC racing or meets. Anyone in the area?
  4. Have you quit racing your 959? I used to race one a long time ago at the local asphalt TC track in Ripon, California. I ran it in stock class at the weekend club races. I also raced a current TC in the Pro-Mod class. We raced in the evenings and all the spectators loved the headlights on the 959. I knew everyone pretty well, so they let me run it in the stock class even though it wasn't legal motor wise. It didn't handle nearly as good as a full blown modern TC, so they figured it was an even match and it was really. It consistently finished on the podium. It's been boxed up for lots of years now, but after reading your post I dug it out and snapped some pictures for you. (Links are below) I ran Yokomo YR4 oil filled shocks on it. I also lowered it as much as I could to get the center of gravity down. It was actually quite competitive if you looked at only lap times. I bought this paticular car off of ebay and it only had probably 2-5 runs on it. The body was painted decently in yellow, but trimmed very badly. So even though it was a nice looking body, I didn't mind running it too much. The box is one of two I used to take with me full of spares. It was an expensive but fun car to run. Much more enjoyable than my top-of-the-line modern TC. If they race somewhere around Portland, Oregon, I would consider taking it out again as I still have plenty of spare 959 cars and parts. 5. I had a couple people ask about what kits/parts I was interested in. + or - cash is fine, I'm not trying to rape anyone. [] I will consider anything. Below is all stuff that I can think of that interests me. Some are worth more, some are worth less. The Fox Sassy Chassis - WANTED! any condition Hot Trick Racing - Complete Chassis'- any Tecnacraft wheels - any considered Tomohawk - any considered NIB, new built, restored to as new or NIB body sets for: The Fox 959 (Body set only) Pre-Runners (F150, S10, Toyota) Schumacher Cougar 2000 (NIB and kits with clear bodies only) Fireblade (NIB and kits with clear bodies only) BMW M3 (old or new one)(dazmeister's Jager one! []) Porsche GT2 (Piaa or Taisan) Fiat Abarth Honda S800 (must have clear body or color I like) Celica Gr B Wild One Astute Super Astute Egress Avante ORIGINAL Hornet (my 1st R/C []) Volvo 850 BTCC Volvo Globeliner Tank Trailer NIB, new built or nice used: King Hauler Knight Hauler
  6. This 959 is in really good used condition. Super easy restoration! The pictures don't do it justice (crappy camera). Chassis has a few scratches on the bottom, but I will include a NEW practice front bumper and B parts (bottom skid plates). Body has never been painted, but has the usual rips on 3 out of 4 corners. Has some scratches from roll-over as well. Decent condition overall. Comes with a NEW "Racing" sticker sheet. Technigold motor is included and looks new/runs perfect. I test ran it before I pulled the electronics and it works great! Looks to have 5-15 runs maximum on the entire car. If needed I can also supply a copy of the manual. I'd like to know people's opinions on what it's worth also (not sure what to ask for it here). It's going on ebay if nobody here buys it. Trades considered, but prefer to sell. 7. Sounds like a really good buy if you ask me. [:0] Hope someone here got it. [] http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWA:IT
  8. Well I don't sell on ebay very often, but right now I'm watching 53 items. Of those 53 I will probably only bid on 2-3. Of those 2-3 I will be lucky to get 1. [] I've bid on 12 items also, but those were mostly when they were dirt cheap and to help keep my watching items down. I remember when ebay only allowed 20 items to be watched at once. I had to get another couple of user names as my "watching" section was always full. []
  9. Both my Cougar 2000 and my Fireblade chassis' curve out on the sides. The Couger much more than the Fireblade. Maybe yours has been trimmed? Also, you front suspension arms are different than both of my cars. I did upgrade my Cougar 2000 though. I'll have to dig through my parts for them and see what I find. It's been a while so I don't remember everything about them right now. [:I] I may have some used spare parts for you if you need them. Looks like you are missing quite a bit. I'll see what I can spare when I go through my spares. I think I have a spare upper chassis and an extra "x" brace you are missing though. What else do you need?
  10. If you have a nice built to NIB Tomahawk and want a 959, let me know and maybe we can work out a trade. [] I can go with + or - cash also depending on the value of each car being traded.
  11. Thanks 403! Those look sweet! I see why Jim has so many of them. They were made not too far from his home town. [] Did you save a high quality version on your PC by any chance? If so would you mind emailing it to me? ( patrickATtuff240DOTcom ) EDIT: BTW, don't call that number. The guy on the other end isn't very friendly...LOL. [:I]
  12. quote:Originally posted by DJTheoLooks nice... id="quote">id="quote">Thanks. quote:Originally posted by DJTheo...please put next time links to the photos or 56k modem user warning on the title as not everyone has broadband internet. id="quote">id="quote">Running at a wopping 28.8bps here and not having DSL available to me in my location I could think of SEVERAL things to say here. Being new here and since you are admin, I think I will go with... Is it acceptable now? []
  13. I'm moving to Portland in 2 months. If you have a big get together, I may drive up there. Please keep me in the loop if you do get something started up there. []
  14. I want to eventually restore my old Schumacher race buggies and display them. Let me know if you have any parts for them. I really need new bodies and suspension bits, but I'll take almost anything that's cheap. [] Also, does anyone know if the Fireblade body that is still available is the same as the original body? I'll edit a parts # list in here when I get around to it. Thanks!
  15. I made an inventory of all my RC parts (not very many) and this is the stuff I will most likely never use. It's all extras from buying lots of parts. If some one needs something in here, I'd be happy to trade for any Fox or 959 parts. I plan on running Fox's and 959's until I die, so I can always use more spare parts for them. [] I would also be interested in a "close to runner" Fox if someone has one. Nothing in here worth much, but you never know what trinket someone is looking for to finish their resto or keep their runner running. [] Fox spares I already have: http://www.tuff240.com/images/rccars/foxparts.jpg 959 spares I already have: http://www.tuff240.com/images/rccars/959parts.jpg I'd also entertain generous [] offers on either my "#3" or "#4" 959's from this: http://www.tuff240.com/images/rccars/myrccars.jpg -Patrick California, USA
