  1. Ah, got you. Well, certainly to begin with i'd be running stock motors, purely just to get it going, but assuming i did want to take it on a level thats something i'd have to consider. Suppose the first thing to do is get hold of the bulkhead / gearbox and take it from there. Thanks
  2. Cheers for the input guys. With regard to the reversed motor issue, i assume i could just wire it in the opposite direction, providing the esc could cater for an extra set of wires, as mentioned previously. Its been that long since i did the rwd / fwd and back again conversion i can't remember.
  3. Just switching the polarities should do it - i think thats how i did mine anyway. It does seem well worth converting though. When i switched mine round i lost most of my straight line stability, although it did stop spinning out on loose surfaces.
  4. If you're looking for the shortest possible m chassis to convert to rear wheel drive then you probably could go for the short mini version. Both the front and rear bulkhead assemblies have mounts for the steering setup as far as i can remember, so all you would have to do is switch the two and connect the steering to the servo with a shorter rod. I can't think of any reason why you couldn't do that, unless there are no steering mounts on the shorter front bulkhead, which i'm sure there are.
  5. You may have noticed me trying to get a similar project going with a twin engine M0-2L beetle, but i've also converted my car from rear to front wheel drive (then back again - it was loads better). Its a pretty simple operation, but if you need any help, give me a shout.
  6. Hi there. I'm looking for a mini / beetle etc. gearbox for a twin engine conversion. Doesn't matter what state its in or how much of the car is there, i'm just looking to get the project up and running (again). Btw, i'm very into trading, and have done a bit of custom graphic work for enthusiasts on other forums, so if anybody has bits they're willing to let go for a favour, then i'm always interested. That goes for most things, not just this project. Strictly non-profit though, i'd never try to plug my work in a forum. Cheers
  7. Hi there, wondering if anybody knows how i'd go about putting a second motor and geabox into my beetle. I know the front bulkhead is exactly the same length as the rear one, but i wouldn't know where to start in terms of esc, wiring, or anything electrical - all i know is that it WILL work. I figure this must have been covered before, but i can't find any posts, so sorry if i'm repeating.
