My son was born in January of 2019. One of the things they don't tell you is that if you're lucky enough to have a healthy baby, the first few months are actually filled with many hours of boredom. One sleepless night at 3AM, I was poking around the internet and found this site. I remembered fondly the Falcon I had when I was 10 and the Blackfoot my parents bought me as a follow up two years later. I remembered the glossy Tamiya catalogs and how I memorized every page. A few days later, a new NovaFox arrived to our house along with the daily deliveries of diapers, wipes and wine. One morning, early, I laid everything out on the edge of the dining room table my wife said I could have (since being in the garage and out of earshot was out of the question). The build began and I realized that this was the only area in my life where I was able to be as precise as this. It felt good to just have clear directions with immediate results - the opposite of taking care of a newborn.

Hi, Just finished building a Novafox I got for Xmas from my kids. Ended up putting a hobbywing 1060 in for the lipo cut off. Sport tuned motor Drilled a hole in the top of the case to allow somewhere for heat to escape as it kept shutting down under thermal after a bit. I won’t be running it in the wet. Went with metallic green and gunmetal grey instead of boxart. I always like to be a little different but for colours to match the stickers. Goes great and was a really fun build. Next I might look to do something like a Blackfoot. Just wish I could get a King blackfoot.

Hello Everyone, Motor question: I purchased a NovaFox recently and just finished it. The motor froze after about 2 seconds of running and no longer works. I took the chassis apart and double-checked the ESC and everything is wired correctly. Tamiya was nice enough to send me a new one. I am hesitant to just put the new one in without understanding what happened the first time. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a preferred after market motor? Thanks, Chris

I hope someone can help. I thought I'd upgrade my old fox drive shafts with the new novafox dog bones and drives cups. Now, I've built and rebuilt a few foxes in my time and never had a problem. So this one has me scratching my head. When I put it together, with nice tight screws, the diff ends up being locked. So I loosened the gearbox screws a bit, and it improved slightly, but not much. I've downloaded the novafox manual, and There's nothing different in the set up, so I'm not missing a part. I've put a new gear set in, and it's sill the same. The only thing i think it can be is the old gearbox casing!? Has anyone else come across this issue? Help, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hey guys - with most of us starting to get into our builds of the NovaFox - lets see them! Ive just finished mine - minus the wing at this stage. Looking to put one on that is similar to MadRacers. Gun Metal Grey with some bling rims. Leaving swaybar off - as its useless. Cheers
