  1. Hello Everyone, I didn't see anywhere on the forum discussion regarding where to find, for trade or sell, vintage Tamiya kit parts. What I find interesting is that some of these parts are still on Tamiya's site but they show as Discontinued. Even if they are discontinued by Tamiya, I'm sure they didn't just throw away that inventory, or did they? It would be great if they setup an eBay account for these "discontinued" parts for people looking to rebuild their classic kits. Taking a shot in the dark here but does anyone know where I can buy a Tamiya part #53552 52T Spur.
  2. Hello all, I've listed some of my parts on Ebay. Mainly Marui Hunter, Galaxy, Samurai, Ninja, Shogun 3D Repro parts. https://www.befr.ebay.be/sch/optimaforever/m.html?
  3. Hello, I need some help, I am trying to find a good alternative of some original parts for a basher restoration of a Celica Gt-Four (Repsol version) and need the wing/spoiler. I needed the grille/headlights too but those I could find at L&L models... Anyone know of a good 3D printed copy or a source to find the original pieces? Original parts number/tree is 19005391 H/J Parts Thank you very much for your help!
  4. Hi! First post but looking forward to being part of the community. Hoping for a little help, I have started recommissioning my Falcon. It’s defo never going to be mint, after being thrashed and crashed through the 80s but to get it running would be awesome. Have already got a new battery, and all working perfectly until I ground the counter gear . I know it’s not available as re re, but does anyone know where I could source one of these counter gears? Seems like one of only a couple of parts that is very specific to the Falcon. Many thanks, J
  5. I recently purchased a Tamiya Tt-02 D, Drift spec R33 GTR. But I see builds out there with working headlights and taillights, some even have speakers with engine sounds and exhaust pipes that light up. This may be my first build but I want to do those sort of things with my car. I really do but don't know where to look to buy these things. I also don't know where to buy the paint I want to use on the body. I want it to look the Lightning Yellow 400R, though I don't know what kind of paint to use. Does anyone know any of the parts I should look into or what paint to buy so I don't mess it up and get a paint that wont work on the plastic?
  6. can anybody help me to idendify from which TAMIYA kit are these parts shown at the picture ?

  9. Hi everyone, I'm selling all the parts that I used to make my Tamiya M05 rear wheel drive (with onboard suspension) conversion. It will include the back half of the M05 Chassis which is where where the modifications are. I will also assist in explaining how it goes together for anyone interested. You will require a standard M05 for this conversion. Thanks, Sam
  10. Greetings, Please check out my items for sale area, and be sure to revisit each week, as I often list new things when I have the time... https://rctoymemories.com/items-for-sale/ You can also buy from me on eBay if you wish. But everything is cheaper if you get in touch via my website, and simply use Paypal or Direct Deposit (what I save in eBay fees, you save). Pretty much everything I sell is vintage. Currently stuff for sale includes........... .............And lots more. Thanks for looking. H.
  11. I have seen the future of my Striker, and it does not involve: - stock front suspension arms (parts F2, F3) - a stock front bumper - 2 rear wings (part C13) - 2 sets of plastic parts for the stock rear friction dampers (parts C4, C9, C16, C18) - accessories for the Team CRP shock upgrade (includes optional front springs and rear damper collars) - 2 sets of rear springs (one pair from Team CRP upgrade pack, one pair stock) - rear wing stays/rear shock mounts (parts A3, A4) - a rear bumper (part C6) - a pinion gear cover/inspection cap (part C12) - a pair of stock dogbone half-shafts (part E2) - a mechanical speed control mount (part B5) - a set of upper body mount posts (parts C2, C3, C5) Hence, I am listing them for sale, and listening to offers. They are in clean, used condition, with no structural deficiencies. A number of C-sprue parts are in new, never-used condition, including (but not limited to) the inspection cap (C12), rear bumper (C6), and one front bumper. These parts are based in Canada; as such, package/lot deals are welcome. PayPal is preferred. Pictures of the parts in question follow. Upon request, more detailed pictures can be made available on any and/or all parts, and questions can be answered. Remember that a number of these parts can be fitted to the closely-related Sonic Fighter! Thanks for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  12. Hi all Does anyone recognise these parts and what model they are from ? . I have sat them next to a Madcap rear axle so you can see the scale / sizes http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005999124-.html#1 Also got this pinion that I can't find an application for , it's the larger one on the right which is next to a 380 pinion for Countach etc http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005999166-.html#1 Any help greatly appreciated
  13. ...you can't bring yourself to let any of them go? For example. I think I probably have 30 boxed sets of Super Champ, Sand Scorcher and Rough Rider tyres in total (accumulated over 25 years). Perhaps it's ~$1000 worth, just in tyres. But I love the boxes so much, I could never bring myself to sell any. (More likely I'll end up with a few more in the years ahead). Ah, the allure of vintage. Especially if it's some car or part you pined for as kid... Anyone else accumulated several of the same thing (more than they need), yet have precisely zero plans to sell any of them? After all, if it's some item you love, and you paid for them all, you can fill a swimming pool with them as far as I am concerned - I totally get it H.
  14. I am trying to restore a vintage Astute for a friend but unfortunately, may have promised him more than I can deliver. I need a C and D parts tree. Anyone have any leads on parts for this poor Astute?
  15. Anyone know why Banzai are no longer stocking Tamiya?
  16. About to embark upon Hilux restoration and wondered if anyone that has done this before can provide details of recommended sources for parts. Here is the current list I have, and some sources I've been able to track down: Front free-wheeling/lockable wheel hubs Universal joints Stainless steel hardware Gearbox mount grommets Front/rear bumpers - http://www.radshaperc.com/product/tamiya-hi-lux--bull-bar-with-loop Ball races 4 x 22mm o x 8mm i x 7mm w (2RS bearings) 13 x 11mm o x 5mm i x 3.9mm w 11 x 10F-8mm o x 5mm i x 4mm w (MF85ZZ) Shims 6.5-6mm o x 5mm i x 0.5mm w 32P 10T Pinion - http://mardave.co.uk/pinions/32dp-pinions/example-product.html Servo control arms - victor101car Given that I no longer have the MSC, plan on using ESC with LIPO's and would welcome any recommendations. From previous posts, I can see the following suggested: TEU- 302 ESC Modelsport RV-12 Sniper Assault Also need motor, so again any recommendations welcome. Thanks in anticipation!
  17. I have found an original SRB! It was found dismantled in a shed at an estate sale, looks to be about 90% complete in terms of parts. The odd thing is that the gearbox seems to have some sort of glue sealing it, not much so opening it shouldn't be a difficult task. Would make a fantastic parts car or candidate for restoration. I found the electronics in a separate box, but unfortunately the wires seem to have been clipped. Unfortunate, but they are included if you would like to re-solder or rewire them. Bearings are also included for those that want to make this a running model. As expected the gearbox will need to be shimmed since it has clearly been sitting for a while. I have attached some pictures, and the rear dampeners and the pinion are included, they are just hidden in the chassis tub. Here are the image links: http://postimg.org/image/47u1ap9yv/ http://postimg.org/image/8i8p6af1z/ http://postimg.org/image/5bj7js0xj/ http://postimg.org/image/ak96kjd13/ Willing to let it go for 65$ plus shipping or trade for re-re kits or kyosho mini z optima, show us what you have to offer. The buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping. I am located in the USA so shipping within the states shouldn't be to much since in this dismantled state it should fit in a large flat rate box. I always ship with a tracking number if possible. I am willing to ship the item out of country/over seas for my UK friends but the buyer will still be responsible for shipping costs. If a trade is made, we will each pay for the shipping of our own piece and we will provide tracking numbers. Otherwise, payments are to be made via paypal only. So let me know what you guys think, at this time not willing to part it out, if nothing happens here I'll just hold on to her.
  18. Nobody wants a couple bundles of hen's teeth NIP/NOS parts that are immediately worth more than you paid? If I wasn't selling them I'd definitely buy them, the Falcon parts at the very least! Let's do some math... 1) Falcon Parts Bundle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331699188811 $55 obo w/ free shipping -- make me an offer, tell me u r from here and I'll accept any offer, on any item, for $10+ less than listed price... so $45 w/ free shipping Included parts: X9901 A Parts (Bumper Tree)ebay price range = ~$23 (min) to ~$33 (max) X9905 F Parts (Suspension Arms)ebay price range = ~$51 (min) to ~$106 (max) X9902 B Parts (Yellow Parts) ebay price range = ~$12 (min) to $12 (max) Total price range of ~$86 (min) to ~$151 (max) So at $45 they are immediately worth about $40 to $100 more than you paid 2) Sonic Fighter Parts Bundle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331699296644 $45 obo w/ free shipping... so $35 w/ free shipping Included parts: X10003 B Parts (Bumper Tree)ebay price range = ~$7 (min) to ~$18 (max) X10161 C Parts (Yellow Parts)ebay price range = ~$15 (min) to ~$19 (max) X10162 D Parts (White Parts)ebay price range = ~$31 (min) to ~$40 (max) X10163 F Parts (Front Shock Tower + Arms) ebay price range = ~$22 (min) to ~$32 (max) Total price range of ~$75 (min) to ~$109 (max) So at $35 they are immediately worth about $40 to $70 more than you paid
  19. Hi, I'm chasing a few original Bruiser parts, though will have to go for some RN36 parts as well: Chassis: motor stay (4245009) rear bumper stays (4015016 or BA-37) rear bumper (D parts, probably rere) battery stays, L+R (4305134, 4305135) mech box lower half (also called "servo lid") Steering linkage trans linkage msc linkage H parts (may as well go new rere I guess) All body parts - would rather a used body, figuring it would price similarly to all the pieces of a new one. Is it possible to buy an entire rere Bruiser body kit?? If anyone has ANY miscellaneous Bruiser parts I'd be interested, really hard to source from here in Australia! Thanks Dave
  20. Hello TC! I'm in the process of restoring a few Foxes. I picked up two locally for a great price and figured one would be a parts car. Well one is pretty much mint so it'll be a shelf queen once I go through it, and the other is almost complete as well. I'm just missing a few parts. I know there are some Fox Fanatics on here, and I'm hoping someone can help me get these cars back in the dirt. Here are the pieces I'm in need of: C2 - Tree C Part 2 - The right side (from the driver's point of view) A arm attachment part. F5 - Tree F Part 5 - it's the little piece which inserts into the gear box for the skid plate to attach to on the underside. Hubs - I need three, but I'll take any that I could get. I have an aluminum set for my runner, but I only have one good hub for the other two cars. Hex Mounts - I ordered all that I could find on eBay, but I'm still short two. Lastly if anyone has any of the brass inserts for the gearbox or damper eyelets I could use a few of those as well. Thanks a ton TC. I may be new to the site, but I've got a lot to post up on these restos soon. Cheers
